Ed001 what's your opinions on Gomez's start to the season I am buzzing. I feel a bit gutted the international break has come to interrupt him with the way he is playing I wish he was back in the England set up as I think it would boost his confidence even more and the level of football is awful so he would get a couple of easy run outs.
All so what's your opinion on SzoboszlaiI think we have a truly great player in the making he is like a mix of Gerrard and Henderson Gerrard's ability and Henderson work rate and team work and reading of the game seems like a dream. And at todays prices a steal.

Szoboszlai is a special talent, close in level to Bellingham. Maybe even that level. I still can't believe we got him. I didn't think they would let him move yet, it just shows you the value of having a player keen to make a move to join LFC. Without his requesting the club to allow him to move to Liverpool, we might not have got him, regardless of any clauses.}

He seems to have the lot Ed001 and has looked like he has played in the premier league for years. Did he suffer injuries at all at Leipzig do you know. Have you seen any weaknesses in his game that might concern you.

{Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware he has had no injury problems at all. Weaknesses? So far nothing obvious is coming to mind as an actual weakness, not in the role he is playing anyway. He does take a bit longer on the ball than I would like at times, but I think that is more of a consequence of playing in the Bundesliga as it is much slower paced and you get more time on the ball.}

curtis jones seems to hold the ball longer than necessary too, losing the ball as a result once or twice. both are pressing machines but dom is about two levels above atm. what a great signing he looks like at the moment.

I hope everton do well. us and them are the only clubs in top flight whose rivalry is the most old school. i mean whole season they be fighting for relegation but agaisnt us they will turn to prime Barcelona haha.

ED1, I was a bit skeptical when you mentioned Szobo as one of the option to play on the right wing if Salah leave. But in last match, there is one moment when he just glide past the Villa defender on the right hand side. Even against Bournemouth before, there is similar moment when he just ghost past 2 defenders on the right side like it was nothing. He is quite quick as well for a midfielder. He know how to strike the ball using both feet as well. The only negative for me would be him not playing in midfield.

Jones holding the ball is a problem if the midfield doesn’t have the technical quality to impact the game when opportunities arrive. Szoboszlai and MacAllister, while two players of the highest technical standard, have a tendency to look for the direct pass (though both did it far less yesterday), which can easily turnover possession and relinquish our control on the match. In this situation, Jones is really useful as he uses his dribbling and pass selection give us greater control and frustrate the opposition. If his midfield partners don’t have the technical level of DS and Mac10, however, his ball work tends to slow us down too much. Henderson and Milner, for all their qualities, were simply nowhere near the technical level of their replacements. Jones will thrive now.

I am somewhat confused. The experts on here have been telling us for ages that Gomez isn't good enough, is crap overall and injury prone and we need to get rid.
It's almost as if Klopp knows something the experts don't.

Ed025 I said last season if Everton went down as it happens we can laugh at a rivals and laugh when the fixtures come out but then when you don’t get your derby games there is something missing. I just wish they could got back to the 80s days where they was hard fought games on the pitch without all the vile hate in the crowds there was all ways good banter then with a comical side to some of the songs and chants now is horrible and there is no need.

Flash, your confusion is self-created so live with it. The "experts" have been watching two years worth of under performing following a stellar year followed by injury and fitness issues. Nobody doubts the footballing skill, he has simply not been playing consistently well, until recently. Nobody can be blamed for thinking he had hit his peak two years ago. You, along with Klopp, knew all along that he would come good (albeit this season thus far) . Bravo.

Flash I have all ways thought if he gets back to his best him and VVD are by far are best pairing. I am not sold on Konate at all looks great one then looks great for 60minutes of the next and does something totally reckless and it seems all the time for me. And Konate just cannot stay fit at all he is like matip where I think if you look at gomez’s injuries they are unlucky injuries that seem to keep him out for a season at time rather than just constant injuries.
