If Salah leaves next year i’d go all in on Evan Ferguson he’d be unbelievably expensive but barring injury you’ve got a pure goalscorer for years and years. We’d have to maybe change to a 442 but i don’t think we’ll get another right winger who guarantees goals so we’ll have to change regardless.

We didn’t purchase Salah as a 30 goal/ assist player and as such I don’t think it would be wise to try and replace him with a ‘30 goal/ assist’ player.

Just sign somebody who ticks all the boxes and the team will do the rest.

If we focus on trying to replace Salah (when he eventually leaves) we will fail.

It would be much better to focus on finding a player who is the best fit (or has the best potential) for the position that we would want the new player to play.

Seriously though- and I could be wrong but I feel spurs should have made a move for Ferguson. I think if he keeps improving he’ll end up at United. Would love to see him at us and fitting what we need but I’m not sure if he’s what we’ll ever need. He doesn’t seem mobile enough to do what klopp wants.
