If they are going to punish City they should make it as entertaining as possible. My suggestion would be allowing every Premier League club to swap one of their players for one of City's and City have to try to make do with the squad they have left. We can give them Adrian in exchange for Kevin De Bruyne.

I would enjoy watching Guardiola trying to get a tune out of Neil Maupay and Phil Jones.

Just fire them down to League 1/ 2 and give 4 Championship sides promotion.

From what i've read this sounds remarkably like fraud!

Nothing will happen. It’ll barely be a slap on the wrist after City’s lawyers appeal or take it to CAS. Suspended fine and a warning to be good little boys in future which City will ignore as the authorities are lame.

They should give us the 3 premier league titles they owe us if these charges are proven. Shame ManUtd will also get 3 if that happens.

It opens up an even more interesting discussion around FSG’s ownership and the call for billionaire ownership for us in some quarters.

I’m not saying that our owners haven’t been negligent in allowing a squad to collectively decline and age, but the point is we aren’t alone in towing the fair play rules around finances and Man City are not alone in blatantly flouting those same rules. And any new owners would have to remain of the same mind surely in keeping spending in check with income.

If it had truly been an even playing field, we could be sat here with Klopp realistically having more than one PL title.

Even more reason for us to be proud of what this club has done the last decade give or take.

I agree spaceman, I've always been one who wants a middle-ground between City's owners and ours, there is no need to go to extremes. Just some owners who would take a few more risks and speculate to accumulate a bit more, without being stupid. We could also have spent plenty more and stayed well within FFP as investment into infrastructure doesn't count.

Indian Buzzer. If that's what it should be, then I'm perfectly fine with it. Let it be what it should have been, if the rules had been followed.

And why does it take more than a decade for all this stuff to come out in an official manner? Did a certain World Cup organizer and the World Cup host have any influence in keeping it under the carpet?

All farcical I tell you. The common EPL fan should not stand for this, nor should the remaining 19 clubs.

Indian Buzzer, Not sure I want anything to do with those titles, to be fair. Maybe with time, that will change.

They cannot go to CAS on this occasion.

If uefa can't bring man city to task after the the last occasions when they had city banged to rights what chance do you think the premier league have.

I have no confidence in the premier league doing anything to man city they are bigger than the premier league and will walk away scot free
Because the premier league will not want to have to deal with court cases against them from other premier league teams also the trophies league, fa cup, league cup won by man city massive can of worms will be opened .

This could kill the premier league because i would not be suprised if other teams be found doing the same things.
