I’ve just seen that John Achterberg released a book aswell as Lijnders? What’s the need for all these books?

Lijnders new book coming at the end of the season. Intensity is NOT our identity.

Instead of trying to become best selling authors, I propose that they should actually focus on their day jobs.

Rags to riches story from Tranmere back up to Liverpool coach.

These things always get scrutiny when it goes tits up. If we were playing at our usual top class level nobody would raise an eyelid. Poor timing maybe but I honestly don’t know what affect it has on the team, if any ?‍♂️.

It doesn't have any effect on the team. Just posters who are looking for something to blame.

Agree with you both there, IR and FTR.

Not looking to blame anyone but it seems overly excessive surely Robertson and Henderson had books not long ago too it stinks of arrogance win a few more titles first maybe.

It's obvious it is a staff base (players and coaches) that needs freshening up. It's natural for things to get stale over 4/ 5 years.

This is the least churn I have seen at the club since being a fan of the club. It's a good thing, until its not anymore.

People writing books stinks of arrogance?
Shall we close all the libraries and get rid of Kindle then?

When you find another football team that won 1 league title and every other person has to release a book about how it was done let me know. There’s definitely arrogance around the club “we have the best player in every position” “what players can improve us” id rather we did our talking on the pitch.

I do agree that writing books don’t have any effect on player performances but as someone said if things aren’t going right on the pitch, it’s a bad look.

1st PL in 30 years and CL in 14 years. Many people would have done the same. I think its irrelevant to their day jobs. As Ed1 said Lijnders training/ coaching/ tactics is the problem. Who cares if his book is a bestseller or rubbish.

I think it is fair to say that something like splitting attention to a book could be contributing to bad performances. Because if the performances were ok then we could say that Pep/ John had managed their workload well, and then when it's not gone well you can say that they haven't balanced things well. Either way it's a far assertion to make and not just based solely on the outcome. Although, the outcome is a key part to know how much of an impact it had.
