Think there needs to be a discussion about some of the non-footballing aspects that happened on Sunday and have boiled over into this week. Some of it is quite frankly insane and very worrying.

Firstly Kloppos comments on other clubs. First he praised Man City and was then asked about their financial ability in comparison to his own clubs. Rightfully he pointed out that Liverpool can’t compete with certain clubs financially, a perfectly viable point.

I think he was also rightfully sent off for shouting at the lino, completely wrong and shouldn’t have happened.

The concern I have is, post game, the bizarre and downright ridiculous claims made by Man City after the game whilst also failing to acknowledge their disgusting fan base mocking the deaths of those in both Hillsborough and Heysel.

The coin throwing is not on by fans and perfectly allowable to be criticised, as is attacking the team bus (although so far the echo reports that the Merseyside police haven’t actually received a complaint and have found no wrong doing) .

The most disappointing is City indirectly inferring that the comments by Klopp (which they ridiculously describe as Xenophobic) would have caused the city fans to act in this way and incited fan trouble. Not only is the xenophobia claim absolutely absurd it’s also really worrying because it is promoting criticism and drawing attention away from a manager who has rightfully called out sportwashing. As for Man City’s public handling of the situation, absolutely atrocious. Liverpool were quick to condemn their own fans for their actions but call out those idiots in the city fan base. As of yet there has been no condemnation publicly by Man City directly. Only bizarre and baffling criticisms of Klopp and his words, which are literally accurate.

The suggestion Klopp’s words could have incited the chants and behaviour of city fans is also quite frankly grim.

I imagine behind the scenes there is a lot of anger brewing also. Rightly so.

{Ed025's Note - I have heared some one sided arguments in my time MM but that takes the biscuit. You make it sound like pep is the devil incarnate and klopp mother Theresa mate!!..

That's the problem ed25 mate when you've no idea what's going on and yet jump in the middle of conversation ??.

I think MM makes some fair points. Klopp has put his hands up and admitted he was wrong and I assume he will take his punishment on the chin. He and the club has also condemned the tubes that were throwing coins, again they will be banned from the ground. Yet City have said nothing about the songs or graffiti. City also have an unfair advantage, everyone knows that! Absolutely nothing wrong in your post for me MM.

Hello MM and timma, Great coach as he is Guardiola (would like to see how he would fare on JKs budget? ), personality wise he's a bad loser concerning us, such as telling his side not to collect their loser medals after the Charity Shield.

Also he has the disgusting "spitting" habit when the cameras focus on him?

I also wonder how long it will take Pep and all the other managers in the prem to "COPY" JKs new 4-4-2 formation, as i have an idea JK is going to stick with this 4-4-2 all season, it will bring the best out of Nunez and Salah (our new centre forward and more happy it seems playing there! ) two in the centre of midfield blocks a big hole through the middle, and also means you can rotate two out of three (thiago, hendo, fab), so one centre midfielder is always fresh for every other game, two in centre of midfield also covers both full backs when attacking, the wingers can now combine with the fullbacks when attacking and defending and vice versa.

Teams had worked us out and particularly the set in stone 4-3-3 system, i hope Jk perseveres with it all season as it seems "echo-nomical" for this very long season ahead?

Ed025 I disagree there mate. Nothing is private on tinder. I tried explaining that to my wife but she believed she had a right to read my messages ??.

Ed025, this isn’t really about Klopp or Pep as such. Klopp was rightly sent off but there can surely be absolutely no criticism of his comments.

My criticism is towards Man City’s response to their own fans disgusting behaviour and them seemingly blaming their fans actions on some words Klopp said about the finances of both clubs. Claiming that it incited a horrible atmosphere and tension and also naming it xenophobic.

It’s not to do with Klopp or Pep being angels or devils. I feel you may have missed the point entirely.

{Ed025's Note - it seems that I must have mate. To me it seemed like you were deflecting any blame from klopp onto pep. If I have that wrong I apologise..

It's not about this site Ed 25 mate ? it's abt City briefing journalist privately to blame Klopp for their fans behavior and even requesting them to Put serious allegations on Klopp which has literally divided journalists and are going at each other since yesterday ?.

First ed25 saying the OP makes Pep look like the devil when the OP didn't mention Pep and then another poster inferring the OP said throwing coins was ok. serious doubts about the comprehension ability on this site
:D.

Hi Ed025, not at all mate. Don’t really think Pep is to blame at all for any of this.

Just a criticism. It’s causing an absolute stir on social media with journalists at each others throats and widely split opinions from multiple different fan bases.

I for one think those sticking up for the clubs who aren’t owned by states using the goodwill of clubs to sportwash are the ones on the correct side.

{Ed025's Note - that I agree with mate..

How is it xenophobic?

Klopp can have no complaints about his sending off- and he doesn't- but Gladioli could have also been shown a red for his antics when Foden's goal was rightly disallowed.

I’m more worried about the s##t state the country is in and how people are going to feed and keep their families warm in the winter months.

Pep and Klopp are millionaires 20 times over. If they want to squabble leave them too it.

18 Oct 2022 22:10:03
Jk23 mate it has nothing to do with Klopp or pep seems you're missing the point like ed25

A state owned club is trying to control the media in UK by briefing them privately to put serious allegations on Klopp that's the problem. Hence it has erupted in SM and the journalist are going at each other. That is extremely dangerous.

That's a good point, JK.

I don't think so 25. I think the OP was referring to the owners or whoever the mouth piece for the owners are. the things mentioned had nothing to do with Pep.
Think you've jumped too quickly on this one mate.

Fair play 25, you stayed in the thread. Made your point, accepted any misunderstanding etc. Very good contribution. Didn't abuse your position. Had the Craic/ banter.

Would be easy (but wrong) to tell the lads to f☆☆☆ o☆☆ there and not let them make their point, So fair play.

{Ed025's Note - I think I’m pretty fair MLG and treat people with respect. I debate like I would with anybody down the local pub mate and if I get it wrong I will apologise. Thanks for acknowledging that my friend..

The three clubs that are owned by nation states can get away with pretty much anything. UEFA have no control and the financial fair play rules are unenforceable against the likes of Citeh who simply out-lawyer them. Klopp is spot on in his comments. Football is being cheated by the billions awash n the oil states. Sportwashing at its peak.

24.) 19 Oct 2022
19 Oct 2022 09:37:26
City's owners don't think much of their own fans if they think Klopp's comments could be seen as inciting them ?.
If Klopp's comments were out of order why didn't they take legal action instead of worrying about how their fans will react?
To be fair, SOME of their fans didn't let them down.

Etihad, the airline, recently received a £1.2 billion loan to get them out of the red, yet they continue to plough sponsorship money into City like there’s no such thing as a world-wide economic slow-down or C.V..
Other City sponsors emerge from out of nowhere, state funded.
One NFT sponsor turned out to have no staff or premises.
Haaland’s wages are a joke.

26.) 19 Oct 2022
19 Oct 2022 10:41:43
I suspect that Manchester City’s reaction is just a knee-jerk thing. There aren’t many sides who have beaten City in their last 3 meetings and, as Pep said in the lead up to the match we are their biggest rival. I think Liverpool are winning the mind games with City at the moment.

On a separate issue, Klopp’s sending off was the correct decision and anyone throwing coins or other dangerous objects is an absolute moron who shouldn’t ever be allowed back into the ground.

For me, you got to be able to recognize a propaganda hit job when you see it. IMO, this is all happening as a propaganda stunt by City to deflect from the fact that they got outplayed, outfought and well and truly beaten vs a team and manager who EVERY man and their dog thought they would roll over before the game and simply cannot take the L. And also, to deflect from the abject conduct of their own manager provoking the crowd cos VAR didn't let him steal a goal which he is YET to apologize or address, mind you.

Ask yourself this: Would all this rubbish about Xenophobia, Klopp and all that have come up had City thrashed us like EVERYONE thought they would? Why has City not come out publicly to openly condemn the disgusting chants and conduct of a section of their fans signing about Hillsborough and/ or Heysel after 3 days? And why did they use some nameless journalist to post a nothing burger story about Klopp being xhenophobic based on comments he made when he answered a question he was asked (he didn't even bring up the topic) where he literally said "Everybody knows the answer I will give BUT yet you ask me"?

Klopp didn't even mention any club or any country's name. Klopp didn't even say we could not compete. He said, "We cannot act that way" as in, we cannot pay a player 850k a week. That's it. So we went from there to Xhenophobia? Come on, connect the dots. So Klopp's comments was inciting their fans to sing disgusting chants about a tragedy and painting vile grafiti on the Anfield concourse BUT Pep provoking the crowd openly at Anfield wasn't an attempt to incite the LFC fans, yeah? Again, connect the dots.

Sorry guys, I just want to amend one thing in my last post. I said Klopp did not mention any club's names in the answer he gave to the question he was asked on Friday when he mentioned that 3 clubs can do what they want. He did mention City and Newcastle, not PSG. Just wanted to correct that part of my post.
