Hi Ed001

To me it is quite the Dortmund nightmare happening in Liverpool, which is once again the 7th year coaching time of Klopp.

If you were Klopp, with your hands tied in the transfer window, what will you do to make things happen again?

I am really appreciated for you sharing professonal football information.

Have a good one.

{Ed001's Note - Dortmund was different. Players were constantly sold out from under Klopp, eventually that just took its toll. Even so, the 7th year they just didn't get the results their play deserved, a bit like us right now just missing too many chances. If that is fixed we will be fine, like they were.

As for what I would do if I was Klopp, I would stop moaning and making excuses about pitches and injuries and signings. The club tried to get the player he wanted, but he only wanted Madrid, so clearly they will find the funds if the right player is there. He needs to go back to basics and get the missing intensity back in our play.}

The midfield players can’t really do intensity to the level they used to, which in turn makes the high back line a big issue. As for missing chances I disagree completely the opposition has far more clear chances than us so far this season.

Ed, have you read Lijnders book and what do you think about him writing one and launching it in pre-season?

{Ed001's Note - I haven't read it nor do I have any interest in it. I don't like these things they always seem to come out and the team's form falls apart. Save this stuff for retirement.}

Ed001 mate if you have time, what's your opinion on pep linders. Do you think he's getting ahead of himself with all his interviews, book release and patrolling the technical area designated for managers.

{Ed001's Note - yes. It is starting to look confusing as to who is the boss. You need to have one clear leader. }

It's more of a 7th season with a low net spend and Klopp not having the squad he deserves, being low net spenders every season and needing top class players gets you in this mess.

Another one if you may ed001. Do you agree with people saying that klopp is sometime too loyal to his player? Player that should not been given new contract but got one, player that underperform but still be selected to start etc. It got me thinking that some of it is true. What your opinion though?

{Ed001's Note - yes it is his big weakness.}

I know people are looking for a story or an angle and the seventh season thing looks to be the latest. After three games!
What about the fifth season injury list, all centre backs being injured and the midfielders covering the centre being injured? When we signed Kabak on loan?
If Klopp's seventh season is as and as his fifth then there might be some in it but until it is I'm putting it down to superstitious nonsense.
Come on, Redmen.

Thank you Ed001 for your comments on this thread.

Some sensible thoughts at last.

I was getting pretty fed up with all the panic and knee jerk reactions we have had since the start of the season.

{Ed001's Note - it is the same all the time, everyone judges everything on one game when the season is played out over 38.}

Cheers, Ed. I am inclined to agree with you that it was a really stupid idea writing/ releasing that book.

When they filmed the book launch at the training ground all I saw was cringed and puzzled player faces when being handed the books by him.

Is he just a bit, much?

{Ed001's Note - I think he might be getting a bit carried away with it all. It is becoming more about Pep than Klopp and that should never happen. Klopp is too generous with his praise for others and too modest in talking about himself. Pep needs to remember that his time will come and there is no need to chase the spotlight, it will happen for him if he just bides his time.}

Ed001 couldn't agree more mate. He should remember he is an assistant and cut out the crap. He should remember what he is employed for. Wouldn't mind so much if he had any success attached to him but he got binned from the only managers job he ever had in the dutch league after a few months. Living off klopps name and success. Really beginning to irritate the life out of me.

{Ed001's Note - he is obviously a big part of the success, but only a part.}

Shows how simple people are. The only similarity between this season and klopps 7 to at Dortmund is we both going through a crap load of injuries. Dortmund got most of their big players back around Christmas then went on a run to charge up the table. And they lost a final.

If Klopp was still at City he’d still have Hart Kompany Delph Fernandinho Silva Aguero Sterling. I don’t think Pep gets attached and friendly with the players like Klopp does. Has its pros and cons. I still see people saying Milner brings ‘experience’ to the team, that’s what he was there for in 2015 this team has won the lot they have experience themselves. I don’t think Pep could have done the rebuild job Klopp did with us but Klopp i don’t think could have done what Pep did at City either. I think we all want Klopp to be a bit more ruthless.

'If Klopp was still at City. '
If he was, I'm sure they'd have won a European Cup. They haven't.
Constantly comparing ourselves to City is getting pathetic.
Come on, Redmen.

When was Klopp at City then?
I must have missed that one.
