Are City only playing 2 pre-season matches? I looked at their website and they've beat Club America (Mexican top tier side) today (2-1) and play Bayern on Saturday. and that's it?
Haaland was an unused sub. Are we going to be burnt out or better prepared for the Charity Shield or will Guardiola play full teams with fewer swaps in those 2 matches.
Seems odd to me.

We haven't even warmed up yet and you're worried about "burnt out"? ?.

The Charity Shield is one of those things that only ever matters if you win.

This year both clubs, along with a lot of other clubs (just look at Everton ?) will be under prepared because the season is being messed about by the lads who run FIFA who wanted to obtain financial gain for the whole of football (of which, of course, the lads are a self-important part) by staging the World Cup slap, bang in the middle of the season.

The Charity Shield, even more so that usual, is just a pre-season friendly (unless of course Nunez scores a hat trick and Haaland misses a string of sitters ?)

OP, why are you bothered about other teams’ preseason schedules, exactly? A bit cringe, don’t you think?

I’m worried Nunez is burnt out after playing 45 mins last night. If I was the manager I would have only played him for 44.

I don't think the OP was 'worrying about another teams pre season. I saw it more as opening a topic of conversation that there are clearly different approaches to pre season and who do we think would be in better shape come next Saturday or for that matter the start of the season. Of course in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter its only pre season and only time will tell but it seemed like a reasonable thing to debate to me?

So for what its worth OP I think that we will be more 'match ready as we have seen better the team look sharper as the games have gone on.

Enjoy the season guys!
