Ed0666 I would love Mo to sign a new contract it would be nice to know how far apart we are in wage demands or if it down the length because at 30 you would not want to give him massive wages for 5 years. For me that's a massive gamble because you never know when a player over 30 will start to lose them yards of pace what for a forward will take the goals down rapidly. Think the club has been to slow and should have done this a couple of years ago same as Mane taking them both to 33 rather than leaving till the last 2 years had this before the club is losing money doing this.

{Ed0666's Note - I would sell mane & Bobby and do everything in my power to keep Salah without it affecting the team moral. And if he doesent sign well there’s always options. Try and get 70-80 mill for him and buy Anthony, Diaby, Raphina or whoever and then let’s all put Diaz on a pedestal until he becomes world class (which he already is) and starts asking for insane figures and then we move on to the next player.

Even if Salah agrees to sign a 300k a week contract the issues that everyone seems to be bringing up about his age, form and other players wanting parity etc will still be there.

I’ve also seen posters say we can sell Salah because we now have Diaz. But one plays on the right and the other the left. That’s like saying we can sell Trent because we have Robbo.

Don't know how correct it is but saw somewhere few days back he's agent rejected 350k he's current salary is 200k. Not sure how correct it is but talk of the town is he's agent and MO believes he deserves to be highest paid player in the league.

Top 3 highest current players in the league are CR7 500k KVB 400k and Lukaku 350k.

Jk mate I love Diaz he has been live wire since he's debut but it's premature to start thinking Diaz or anyone will reach Salah's level anytime soon.

If Salah leaves then just tweak the system abit instead of replacing him with directly/ like for like that will never work.

What about Bowen?

Kopforever I feel like I’m Salah’s agent here the way I’m sticking up for him 🤣.

Truth be told he’s not even my favourite player, that is Mane. But I believe he’s our best player.

Over the last 6 weeks we have gone from saying Mane is over the hill get rid of him to f##k it let’s just get rid of Salah as well, we can replace him easily enough.

I just think we as fans won’t realise how amazing Salah and Mane have been and still are for this side.

It could very well be a case of we don’t know what we had until it’s gone.

As I’ve said before if Salah goes it’s because he’s a greedy b#####d but at no point do I want him to go or believe he will be easy to replace.

99% of other fans worldwide would love Mane and Salah at their clubs. And here’s us trying to usher them out the door whilst quoting YNWA.

I think this is the best quote regarding the Mo situation. 'Salah must decide if he wants icon status - or money' He has hero status now, stay and on to the the next level? Top 3 highest current players in the league are CR7 500k (over paid waste of time and space, no one is worth that amount) KVB 400k (Maybe the equivalent but don't think anyone worth that amount) the and Lukaku 350k (Way over paid) .

Jk mate I absolutely agree with you whatever u said there. I even think it will send a wrong msg if he refuses to sign and leaves

I'm Sure most of the fans will be absolutely happy if he stays but as I said down in my post at what cost?

Do you think he's worth-it to unrest the dressing room? Do you think he's Worth-it to set a precedent for future signings when negotiating their contracts?

Salahs agent didn't reject anything. He passed on a message that his boss rejected the clubs offer.

Kopforever it’s a tricky one mate. It’s not my money so it’s easy for me to say. But if Bobby and Milner for example move on in the summer then that frees up 320k a week that pays Salah and doesn’t change our wage bill.

Yes it sets a precedent but remember years ago when we used to say Utd, Chelsea and City bought the leagues and we wouldn’t do that and then we spent 75 mill on Vvd and set a world record for a keeper. Without changing that precedent we’d still be signing players 20-30 mill max.

If fans seriously believe Salah is about to drop off a cliff ability wise then we shouldn’t be offering him any kind of contract full stop.

Mane mane that’s spot on though mate. Salah would have had the final say in the offer. I wonder what Mane and Bobbys thoughts are on this. As they haven’t been given a second thought in contract negotiations and both them could also now move in the summer as they might very well be in the same boat as Salah in having no intention to sign.

100% JK23 that's why I intend to enjoy every minute they are with us. Contracts are outside my domain. We'll get a sneak preview of life without Salah over the next few weeks as, to my untrained eye anyway, his hamstring went yesterday. We all need to remember we've 1 trophy in the cabinet and still in the hunt for 3 more. F*ck contracts etc, support the lads and enjoy the ride.

{Ed0666's Note - I’m pretty sure it’s not the hammy mate.

We got a sneak peek with AFCON. To be honest I thought that we didn’t go too badly.

Mane mane always good to debate over it though mate. Only thing missing is a few pints and a pub.

I listened to Klops post match conference earlier and I’m sure he said it was Salah’s ankle but it is nothing to worry about.

Jk mate again you're missing the point or ignoring it purposely.

Don't think it has anything to do with Milner or bobby wages.

LFC can easily afford giving Salah 20-24M with it's revenue being over 500M.

But at what cost? You can't give Salah 25M and others 10-12M that's not going to work and will cause unrest in the dressing room.

Selling a player for 140M and buying another for 75M that has nothing to do with setting a precedent.

Hamstring?
Foot injury. Hopefully he won't be out for long, if at all.

Kopforever we’ll have to agree to disagree on this one then mate.

And to say I’m missing the point on an opinions site indicates that you believe you are right and I am wrong. Now that’s a dangerous precedence to set mate 🤝.

To be honest lads I watched it on a dodgy stream and could have swore I saw him holding the back of his leg so I just assumed it was his hammer.

Jk mate it's not Abt wrong or right you're Just thinking abt Salah and completely ignoring other players who're important as much as Salah.

You're forgetting despite Salah scoring 40 goals in he's 1st season we struggled until Allison and VVD arrived which is more dangerous then my opinion mate

I'm not Salah supporter I'm LFC supporter so I'm thinking as an LFC supporter which includes the whole team 😊👍.

Kop I’m not arguing with you mate I think it might have been a bit of miscommunication.

I 100% agree that we are a world class team and not team Salah. We have quality everywhere on the pitch as well as on the bench.

But for me we are a better team for having Salah in there than we are if he’s not. I think Díaz, Mane and Salah as a trio could go onto amazing things once they master playing together.
