The review is on the article page lads. Thanks for the review Ed. Klopp got of lightly in my view, Jones for Firmino was a shocker.

Sorry mark forgot to reply before pressing submit! You are very welcome. It was a mistake but I could see the thinking behind it, especially as Jones is not fully match fit and we have a lot of games to come.

Maybe Milner wasn’t fit either we really don’t know. But if Milner is on the bench he should be able to play 20 mins. It’s an easy sub to make, get the kid off, or get Jota off. It takes more balls to change Robbo, or swop Trent for Konate etc. Anyway no one is perfect so we live and learn and move for a massive week.
Well played to Brentford. Whatever happens it is certainly much more enjoyable than last season.

Brentford more than deserved their point. We did not deserve the win by any stretch based on the way we played. It's football. On to Porto.

Regarding the Firmino/ Jones substitution, I just assumed that Firmino had been prepared to come on for Jones because it was 2-2 at the time and Klopp wanted to bring on another attacking player to go all out for the win. Then Jones scores just as the substitution is about to me made, which puts us 3-2 up and I honestly don't think Klopp would have made that change at 3-2 but whether in the moment he got carried away, didn't think about it for a moment or calculated that it was a good time to really go for the kill and try to get a fourth, we then ended up with a lead heading into the last twenty minutes and bringing on an extra striker.
If we'd scored the third earlier and been going into the last twenty minutes 3-2 up, I think Milner would have come on for Jones and Firmino on for one of the three strikers.

RR I thought Millner would have replaced Jota just after the goal but that never happened and we just went with 4 up top.
