Hey Ed's and reds

This season will go down in history 1 way or another whether it suits us reds or not . Embrace it I've almost forgot about football but my weekly fix on the site keeps me in the loop . Hope we look back in 2 years time and it's a bad memory .

For everyone saying no19 it's no1 as it would be our 1st prem title not the old division 1.

I’m in stitches when I hear opposing fans saying we haven’t won the premier league.

In fact, the league has changed names 6 times since 1992.

{Ed001's Note - it is just idiots trying to wind people up that think it is different. Just like saying the League Cup is different now as it was once the Milk Cup and the Littlewoods Cup and the Rumbelows Cup etc. It is still the League Cup, just a different name.}

Also, on that logic, the only teams to have won the "Premier League" are Leicester, Man City and Chelsea.

Between 1992 and 2016, it has been called "The FA Premier League", "FA Carling Premiership", "FA Barclaycard Premiership", FA Barclays Premiership" and "Barclays Premier League". It's only been called the Premier League since 2016, so Arsenal, Blackburn and Man United have never won the Premier League either.

You now see how stupid that logic is?

Dhfc, that last line is just nonsense. It's like saying Real Madrid have only won 7 or 8 Champions League titles whereas the other 5 they won should not count cos the competition was under another name and another format.

I expect that last line from ignorant rival fans trying to get some banter (weak banter, I might add) . I do not expect that from fellow LFC fans who should be smarter than the average rival troll. You're better than that.

Come on Dhfc, don't get sucked in by the Skysports razzmatazz, Prem and old Div 1 are exactly the same. That said, the old div 1 had 22 teams for a while, so maybe it was a harder league to win.

It will be the 19th top flight league championship. End of.
But, just a thought regarding the Walk of Champions. At the moment there is a silhouette of the 1st Division trophy with a big 18 emblazoned on it. What happens when we win the Premier League trophy? Do we just change the 18 to 19, or do we add a new silhouette, or make a sort of combined silhouette of both trophies with 19 on it?
I guess we'll find out soon enough, but what are everybody's thoughts?
