I feel I'm on a different planet with this transfer window stuff.
I think it's a good idea to shut before the season starts
"But foreign teams can still come buy our players"
So surely we shut the window, IN AND OUT.
why has the premier league not even thought of this option.
Is it against Fifa rules to stop the out signings?

In some cases they already close later, Spain closed 24 hours after us and I think Turkey closes today. I'm delighted it's going to close before the season starts and I don't see a problem with sales continuing afterwards. Just like we did with Coutinho, we can just say no.

I agree with Benny on this! If you close, close it completely. No in comings and no outgoings!

{Ed002's Note - That is not possible.}

Clubs are not obliged to sell players 🤝.

Why not ed.

{Ed002's Note - Because there is is no window to sell - only to buy andregister new players.}

Surely the premier league can put into their new system that players may not be relieved from their contracts? I know it would get extremely complicated.

{Ed002's Note - They have no authority to introduce such rules as that - and no other country in the world imposes such restrictions.}

The rest of Europe will just have to catch up like Brexit.

It will only make it even harder for foreign clubs to buy from English clubs. English clubs will be very reluctant to sell their best players late on as they won't have an opportunity to replace them.

Prem clubs will just stick massive price tags on players and if someone is willing to pay it then you sell.
