I'd just like to say that I can't quite fathom how any one can rate emre can when he can't even get in Germany's starting eleven its an absolute joke the sooner we get zeilinski in to replace him the better or even dahoud at least he's young or better still both as we could finally replaced henderson who doesn't even get in a team that loses to Iceland.

Ok mate, because Can doesn't play for the word champions he's rubbish.

And yeah because Roy Hodgson doesn't pick Henderson he's terrible as well, you know the manager who in his infinite wisdom took Jack Wilshere to the Euros.

Oh and the icing on the cake, we replace them with Zielinski who warms the polish bench, and Dahoud the uncapped German.

Although I agree the Can is quite overrated by a fair few on this site it is not always about the ability of a player but how they complement the starting 11. What you offer another side really doesn't always have much bearing on what can you offer Liverpool. As well not starting for Germany really isn't a stick to beat someone with.

Yes you are correct.

He is highly overreted by fans and also by Klopp due to German angle I guess.

I quite liked the look of Can initially but he hasn't improved. The same number of opportunities if given to other youngsters. who knows what they might come up with.

Actually it takes a lot of courage to accept that one has got it wrong.

say Lallana - thought he would be great but have realized how poor he has turned out.

in fact even Clyne is also pretty average. But was very sure he would improve us before signing.

Sami and Queen, you are talking nonsense. Queen, did you know that the great Cafu was a benchwarmer at the WC in 1994 and didn't get into the team until Jorginho got injured before the final? Did you know also that the great Roberto Carlos didn't even make the Brazilian team to the same WC? I guess he must have been useless too, by you logic. Moral of the story? Can isn't playing because the manager has gone with someone else which doesn't mean he's useless. It's called coaching decisions. If you ever played sports, you would know that coaches make such decisions. Sami, u may not rate Can and that's fine but many of us rate him and think he can get better and the excuse you gave for him being picked because he's German shows that you have no argument at all.

Can is making sufficient progress considering his age and will only get better from here on in.

Far more relevant question for me, with Can is Germany seem to see him as a RB - considering Flanagan's injury record and personally I'm not sold on Clyne I'd be interested in seeing him there if we can get a solid midfield in place.
