This isn't moaning, it's just describing my feelings
and even though we won the game I felt/feel so disappointed
I don't want want my/our team just to win (if so, I wouldn't be supporting liverpool for so long)
I want them to play football, to want to play for the shirt and I didn't see that
What do others think?
Thank you all

I agree with you there Armendn. I simp,y want my team to entertain me and if they win something come the end of the season it's a bonus. A few years back we were the most entertaining team in the league.loss of Suarez, poor signings, poor tactics and a mid table mindset has changed all that.

Armendn, It's OK to think we didn't play great on Sunday and to wish for better, as many posters have pointed out we're unlikely to challenge for the top 4, let alone the title, if every game is similar to that, we could just as easily lost as won against Stoke.

But try not to look at games in isolation, over the season we'll have bad games and good games and neither on their own are representative of where we are as a team, give it at least till game 5, preferably longer, to make your judgement.

Rodgers wants Liverpool to play classic, good, quick, short passing football, that's his vision of how to make Liverpool successful. But if that doesn't get results he'll compromise as points are the priority. We saw a bit of that on Sunday with the defence playing much further up the pitch and long balls being played to Benteke.

Hopefully as the team settles and Rodgers fine tunes his tactics we'll be happier with how we play.

Very good performance and result. i think you did not watch out last game with stoke.

I still believe its goals and number of goals which will determine our chances, mind that we were able to keep lot of clean sheets last time.

Also none of our strikers received enough service last year. every one is not suarez, but if they are given enough service players like balotelli and lambert can finish.

This year we have bought players who can create and score the likes of ings and firmino, they have played both no 10 and 9 role.

{Ed001's Note - how can you accuse people of not watching the game when you call this one a very good performance? Get your head out of your backside please. I am astounded by the deluded few calling it anything other than a good result but the performance needs to improve for the future.}

The only difference between us and stoke was Countinho. Since stoke ain't equipped with Aguero and costa up front we survived. Any decent striker would have scored against us.

It is not a real choice between two options. If we play badly we will lose. it is a very competetive league. You can be lucky once or twice and its not that we play a very defensive game. saying this it is always good to start with a win. it should bring some confidence and it will be easier to improve when we have 3 points in the bag. In any case this is exactly how we started last season. played badly and won

Really, you got serious there, that was just meant to be a joke. :).

We didn't play well, i think firmino can change it. Can should get into midfield.

Ben,firm,cout can,hendo,milner

Will improve the attack.

{Ed001's Note - sorry mate, misread it.}

But Musacred, it's not just one game. We've been seeing the same thing for the past 3 years.

Jax, that's not really accurate is it. We played badly certainly for parts of last season but certainly not for the last three years.

Also, we clearly played a different style on Sunday to how we've played in any game before under Rodgers so this game should be looked at in isolation, it's unique.

{Ed001's Note - how was it different? Other than a few minor tactical tweaks it was the same. The main difference was purely that Mignolet hoofed it at Benteke for him to fight for, whenever he got the ball. It is hardly a huge change in emphasis, as the rest of the team were not continually launching it long to him.}

Jesus the time since we were playing well just gets longer and longer it's been a year and a couple months. The last few weeks when we started talking about this season it already became two seasons since we came second and now somehow it's at 3 years? I don't understand the thought process of some posters (although maybe that's the point)

Ask Shanks about winning vs entertaining.

Win first, then we'll worry about the performance.
