Hi eds002 with nunes joining city there seems to be gathering whispers that Phillips may be coming to us on loan for the season with no obligation to buy ??‍♂️ . I'd personally take that and see how he settles. You've mentioned in the past that klopp likes the player and there's a possibility we'd take him. sorry to be a pain but have you heard anything about this so called loan deal.

Phillips is just another Arthur Melo. Unfit, injury prone and a desperation signing. Once again another window ends with a poor signing if true.

Gravenberch and Phillips would add depth. Were reaching the non-HG limit so a low-risk loan isn't the worst idea.

I’m guessing Gravenberch is plan A (looking likely if Bayern get their man) and Philips might just be a low risk plan B if that doesn’t work out.

Nothing unfit about Phillips. He doesn't stop running. Blatently just heard Pep mention his weight a year ago.

{Ed077's Note - if a player is returning overweight from a mid season World Cup then surely his fitness and attitude towards the fitness is rightfully a cause for concern.

For all it's worth, I would be happy if Kalvin Phillips signed for LFC.}

He was a good player before joining city. so I wouldn't say no. he's been treated badly there and deserves another chance at a top club but they'd try to have our pants done if we tried.
Pep seems a bit of a nob the way he treating some players.

He is injury prone and he is unfit and overweight, he’s barely bench fodder for city. Those are objectively true statements. Even Pep called him out for his lack of professionalism. The fact that United fan would be delighted we signed him should serve as a warning. Arthur Melo all over again. Rinse and repeat.

The lads last injury was a dislocated shoulder. Barely a fitness related injury is it. Unless he hurt it eating all those pies he clearly does.

VV to be fair at least Phillips has actually been a good player at this level. Arthur Melo flopped at Barcelona and only ended up at Juve because he was part of an elaborate accounting trick.
