As long as we don't consider Gibbs from Arsenal we'll have done well.

Looks like it will only be Chilwell coming in at LB. I am fine with that as long as Klopp believes he is ready to be our first choice LB and relegate Moreno to the bench.

I'm not convinced that Chilwell is ready for the first team.

Yes Indian buzzer, chilwell will definitely take us forward won't he. We need more ambition.

Kman, what makes u think he wont? Chilwell's a good prospect, but i would not mind another experienced LB as long as we move Moreno on. Its about whether all our targets for that position are attainable. If the clubs put ridiculous prices on their players, there is not much Klopp can do about it.

WOW. Transfer window not even open and already were belittling signings and prospects. Wouldn't it be great if potential future players could read what we really think of them.

YNWA ?

The fact that Leicester are willing to let him go, not even keeping him as back up if Fuchs was to get injured. If he was that highly thought of they would keep him as they are going to lose a lot of their players. Either way, I'm not convinced by him, I've watched 3 games since we supposedly signed him and only thought he played half decent in one of them. IMO he would be a replacement for smith and to provide Moreno with 'more competition' instead of replacing him. I do hope we sign hector but I'm not convinced we can get any of our number 1 targets, even though he might not be.

{Ed001's Note - Leicester willing to let him go? You talk some bollox fair play. Whinge whinge whinge, that is all you do. They do not want to lose him, but they won't stand in his way when he has the chance to make a dream move.}

Get rid of Moreno and look for a cheap loan signing to plug the gap until next season. If you can get your 1st choice targets move on.

Maybe try a loan for siqueria until next season. We will have xplayer, flanno, can, sakho, smith and clyne who can all cover until next year.

Move flan to left back after he has had a good solid pre season to get fitness up and bring Cafu back from retirement after last nights game with soccer aid - Still hasn't lost it.

The Koln Sporting Director will be waiting pointlessly if he thinks Liverpool are going to pay that sort of money for Hector.

The thing is there's not a lot of quality out there. Looking who we've been linked with i'd say that Chilwell is too young and inexperienced to be thrown in at the deep end in my honest opinion, Hector may be too expensive, the lad at Villa is too injured and Gibbs isn't good enough for that Blue mob down the road let alone us. So back to square one.

I'm sceptical about ALL transfers of players bought in to the club. I'd always a risk.

However, I'm willing to give every one of them a chance. Kman, I'd encourage you to do the same.

Of course, some scepticism is understandable but writing off players before they join the club is not. Give the lad a chance!

I want the club to improve our weak positions and GK and left back are the weakest positions we have. Chilwell won't improve that, that is my opinion. It's not because of his name or his nationality or anything stupid like that, it's because when I have watched him I saw nothing that suggested he would be picked above Moreno.

Ed01 the reason I really wanted ed02 to stay is that I always respected his opinions. He's normally right. Your opinions, I feel a lot of the time are just as good as any of ours. Maybe it's because someone that doesn't support the club doesn't put tinted glasses on. Your typical response will be 'you talk nonsense' or 'you know nothing' but it's rich coming from you. Valuble person to this site of course, but sometimes you can be a right knob and you know it. Don't act like your opinions are better than anyone else's just because everyone licks your arse because they know you run this site. If you where one of the posters a lot of your opinions would be bullshit. No hard feelings, but don't think you can talk shit to people and not get it back because you're the almighty ed01.

I'm not slagging off chilwell, but when a target isn't good enough, he isn't good enough. Sometimes they prove us wrong, that is football. And yes Leicester definitely didn't want rid of him, that's why they loaned him out to Huddersfield last season. To help him progress? Give me a break. They will sell him, not because they rate him but because they can get decent money from his sale. If they really rated him they would keep him, not give him his so called dream move lol.
