Ed2 morning, hope your well buddy. Two of Portugals top papers are saying Markovic could be going back to Benfica. Is this a non starter?possibly on loan? If true, would mean you were right, when you said chelsea wanted him to stay for a year.

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea's plan was to see him stay at Benfica getting good experience and regular football with a view to taking him this summer. Liverpool paid such a high price I understand that it will have been a surprise not to see him as a regular. Tough to see any plan moving forward.}

I hope he stays to get a real run at LW or at left attacking mid in a 4-2-3-1, and Sterling moves on to fund the purchase of a top striker to back up Sturridge.

He needs to get game time and will develop. Between all our midfielders its difficult to see how it will work out though.

Shame really as for me was never really played in his best position. Always taken off when others were poor. Must of knocked the guys confidence aswell.

Word on the street round Liverpool Ed is that he is REALLY homesick and wants to go home badly and will take a massive wage cut to do so. Hasn't settled at all here someone was saying Mario has caused more trouble than anything to the young lads he was the same at City too throwing darts at the young players permanently fined for being late and missing training not to mention the amount of effort he trains with is a joke all round add in faking injuries i have no idea how LFC can ask for a fee for either player! Markovic is terrible at best 20 million is laughable! Mario is Mario and should be banned from melwood till he finds a new club!

What you mean Ed002 is we bought a player prematurely, didn'play him often enough and when we did it was invariably in the wrong position and have probably set his (very promising) career back 2 years. Does Brendon have no consciene about these players he wrecks?

Apparently not.

We'll be lucky to break-even on any deal when he leaves (which he will and who can blme him)

it is the same as coutinho at milan. under used. the problem wwith liverpool is they do not have patience with players. for god sake markovic played very well against real madrid. give players time to play and adapt. we need a manager who gives players time to play. question to brendan when buying any player:
do we actually need to buy this player?
will this player improve the team? if so in what way?
how much playing time do u think u will give the player?
is there any youth who could play in that position?
are we going to get value for money with this player?
if it was your own money would u pay that much?
