Ed2 tentative links with Marlos Moreno, also saying we've scouted him heavily. he's an exceptional talent. Anything your end? I expect work permit issue but surely should get an exceptional talent one.

This deal for Ter Stegen could happen don't they owe us circa 13 million for Suarez so an offer for 7 million and he possibly could be ours hope so, if not would take Marc Bartra instead think he would make a great right back, Barcelona could possibly be forced to give us Bartra for free to finalise the deal for Suarez.
Jurgen will be right on this now that he knows Barcelona OWE us.

ED002 - not necessarily for this deal for Ter Stegen (if it ever happens) but does this happen? That future payments between two clubs are deferred/ transferred to another deal?
{Ed002's Note - It would be very rare, expensive from a legal perspective, would require UEFA approval and would require the club to talk to the tax authorities. What has happened in the past is that there has been intervention in cases where clubs cannot make payments - Glen Johnson being an example.}

It's all academic anyway as the Telegraph are reporting that Man City may have agreed a deal with Ter Stegen. I only hope we don't end up with a second rate player like Begovic, Mandanda or Sigiru.

Ed2 what's your thoughts on the players on loan? Do any have a future at the club come the summer? I personally don't see any staying unless Allan gets a work permit. Looking at the squad its still hugely bloated, if you include the players on loan.
{Ed002's Note - Ward is the pick of them but Liverpool will need to have a plan for him next season. Assuming Mignolet and Manniger leave and Ward returns then they will still need a third pick - perhaps Fulton would work. If the club look to another add a second pick ahead of Ward then he will know his time with Liverpool is over. Allan is expected to build a decent career - but I rather doubt it will be at Liverpool in the long term given that the club remains. Flanagan is another deserving of a decision in the summer - back in to the fold of the first team or move him on.}

Oh that's right, i somehow forgot that he didn't got a work permit. Fingers crossed that he somehow end up qualifying for a work permit and he'll get his chance. I think he could have a great career with us.

What would you about Dele Alli? What do you think would have happened if he were not given playing time, both for the team and himself. And even the English team?
If Ojo I good enough he should be given enough games to prove himself.
{Ed001's Note - Dele Alli still needs to be given a reason to keep improving. It is a year or two down the line you need to think with players this age. Spurs need to add a signing to fight him for his place, or risk him becoming too settled.}

If there's one thing I've learned over the past season or so it's that Belgians do not work in this Loverpool squad especially that god awful Origi who seemingly scored a fair few goals fair play to the lad one of the better players I've seen in recent times at the club a big powerful lad strapping handsome etc

I'm sorry but Lucas is ok at CB for cup games and the likes of Bournemouth but his lack of pace, height and constant fouling will soon have everyone turn on him. Personally I'd be happy to see him go, great professional but his legs have gone and he gives away to unecessary free kicks away.

Sorry pegleg, you couldn't be more wrong.
Lucas is again showing his versatility as an alternate for defence as well as a dcm.
The guy started with us as an AM! Not many players have that versatility, not to mention loyalty.
Still got a couple more years at least in him, albeit probably as more of a squad player now, which, btw, he's happy with, an even further indication of the loyalty of the man.
He's the closest we currently have (alongside Cafu) of our Scouse heartbeat.

SG will never return as a defender. Lothar was always a brilliant defender (he was assigned to mark Maradona at the 86 World Cup from memory) so it was natural for him to drop deeper as he got older. So can't compare him to SG whose defensive skills (particularly his ability to read attacks) have never been anywhere near as good as his attacking skills.

Balotelli was on 90k skrtel little less but them 3 are over 200k alone. So closer too 300kpw.
