Anyone else notice Nunez holding his run and timing it better to stay inside? Thought that was a noticeable change. Everything else from Nunez was great, best moment was his yellow card in injury time.

Faith, Darwin has always been able to do that since his Benfica days and even last season when playing in a severely underperforming team, these qualities were always there and he was able to create chances from them alone with balls over the top.

I just think him getting called for offsides a lot was due to a lack of focus and concentration cos I too, did/ could not understand how a strength of his suddenly became a weakness. Awesome perf. from him and majority of the team today and Im struggling to find a true MOTM, at this point.

The goals aswell, he didn't just shoot hard when he got the chance. But seemed to try to carefully place it.

Oli - I’ve never thought it was an issue other than he was getting called offside more often than others. What I saw was an effort to time his runs better. Noticeable change for me.

Besides that and the goals, he is still Darwin. All action and a pest for the opposition all the way to until the final whistle. People choosing to focus on his apparent lack of goals are just wilfully ignorant imo.

Indeed, Faithinworks. Not arsed about focusing on the only thing a player is not yet good at esp. if he is either good at or improving massively in any other part of his game.

Like I said before, if Darwin's finishing is the only thing holding him back then, we have first world problems with him at this point.
