A couple of new names linked with Liverpool in the last few days. Pape Demba Diop (Senegal) of Zulta Waregem in Belgium and Andre Trindade (Brazil) Fluminense. Both are very young and inexperienced but likely to be cheaper than Lavia, Thuram and Caicedo.

Also worth noting that Curtis Jones played a holding midfielder role in the England U21 success this Summer and has played the position for Liverpool. Tyler Morton may also have a larger role this season and of course there is the possibility of spending on an RB/RCB And an LB/LCB and moving Trent into a full time midfield role - either alongside Bajcetic/Jones or even Andy Robertson in a 3-2-2-3 or taking the Fabinho role in a 4-3-3 with McAllister on the left and Szobaszlai on the right.

Are there any other youngsters from the Academy who could make a similar impression to Bajcetic last season? Obviously Conor Bradley will get a good go at the RB position in a 4-3-3 but who are the 'next most likely' players to step up - Bobby Clark maybe?

Worst cast scenario, we could use tsmikas as left sided midfielder.
He can cross the ball for sure.

For God’s sake, there’s that word again - cheaper. It’s like the Conservative Party.

HessleRedTom1980, I agree in part. Transfers are often not about being cheap or expensive cos all that is relative to uncontrollable factors like demand/ supply, the market rate for players etc., IMO.

For me, It's about getting value for your buck, cheap or not. LFC are the best in England at getting the best value for their signings regardless of the fee, expensive or cheap.
