Hello ed2. Any news on firmino whether he staying or not? Last thing I see on the search is around xmas time where u thought he would leave. I would reckon he will leave if nothing has been signed at this stage.

Klopp has said he wants him to stay.
Firmino has said he wants to stay.
It’ll be down to an appropriate contract being agreed.

A one year deal is good for us but not him i can see him getting offered 2 or 3 years elsewhere i wouldn’t offer him that with us.

I’d hope for two years. Like I say he’s not guaranteed a regular starter spot but he is high calibre back-up both off the bench and to cover injuries. Two years will see Gakpo, Nunez be 25 and hopefully in their prime with Carvalho at 23 and maybe pushing them for thr (false) 9 spot.
