James Wathland:
Barcola to Liverpool is essentially done.
The structure of the deal is what they’re going through now before everything officially gets over the line.
Barcola has shut the door on everyone else. Liverpool, Liverpool, Liverpool, that’s the message.
PS. The same Twitter account reported of the interest in appointing Iraola in May.

"Barcola has shut the door on everyone else. Liverpool, Liverpool, Liverpool, that's the message."
I'm calling it. ?♂️
Players just don't act like that. Their agents advise them against it. He might say it to his agent, but a good agent won't let the clubs know that. Sorry, Jamie, it's BS.
{Ed001's Note - Isak did, as did Wirtz.}

Ron, here's what The Athletic says: "The discussions are seen as an important step to establish a direction of travel on a potential move for the 23-year-old, who is committed to joining the Merseyside club." Which sounds to me as if the player has made it clear he wants to join Liverpool...

"The discussions are seen as an important step to establish a direction of travel on a potential move - Parklife!"
{Ed0666's Note - it’s all pie in the sky annd getting really tedious now. Most people on the internet are just aura farming and pretending they are in the know. If I was to make a superficial assesment I would say Barcola & Mbaye get done but we will pay an obscene amount of money and get our pants pulled down. This is in part to do with the fact that Richard Hughes isn’t a good negotiator and we sign players because we pay the asking price and tremendous wages.

Agree Ed. Seems to be the way to always make three bids for a player, make it look like we're negotiating hard, the board all nod sagely then we pay the original asking price that was known two months ago.
It's all a false construct to keep a load of sporting directors and agents employed. there's little to no value added.
{Ed0666's Note - or our men in suits are inept and get shafted by real deal makers who are consummate proffesionals.

If it's true that the player "is committed to joining LFC" then we should be a derisory amount as the player is "committed".
He's committed, at the moment, until another club comes in with a better offer or until the window shuts and he's committed to PSG.
