Morning Ed’s. Big game to day hope everyone enjoys it and stays safe. I’ll be taking flight at 3:40pm today to Dublin from sunny Cornwall ??‍♂️ Totally ballsed that one up. But I was hoping one of the Ed’s could tell us something about Richard Hughes? History, achievements, what’s to be expected from him etc? Thanks guys have a good day! YNWA 2-1.

Richard Hughes had several good seasons at Pompey under Harry. Played in the Prem and against AC Milan at Fratton Park up against Gattuso so has some top flight experience.

As a player I recall a no nonsense, honest denfensive midfielder. Certainly never let anyone down but not the most creative. To me Pompey always looked solid with him in the middle and you knew you’d get 100%.

I’m not sure of his achievements since hanging up his boots but I would imagine he’d be well respected. He didn’t seem the type to suffer fools.
