Good opportunity for Conor assuming he is back.

Regards Trent, I said a couple games ago that he doesn't look right and shouldn't be playing. A lot of replies just focused on that he is crap at defending, but to me it looked like he had lost some agility to change direction. That to me is related to his injuries and nothing to do with being able to defend or not.

Anyways, I hope they do him right and get his body right for the run-in.

Faith i think u r right as regards trent. pre injury he was flying and defending v well.
Him and szobo 2 massive losses and v worrying that both came back and broke down again with same problem.

If Bradley continues to play as he has been then we won’t really miss Trent on that right hand side.
I always worry throwing a youngster in the deep end, especially when there’s little to no cover for him until Trent’s back but let’s hope he just continues to flourish and prove himself.

Gomez can cover there,

Can’t Quansah play on the right side too?

Based on what we’ve seen so far I think it’s fair to say that Bradley can ‘get the job done’ and some.

Whilst Bradley has been excellent at right back, I feel we shouldn't be too relaxed about TAA not being available.

We'll soon miss his world class passing ability.

I feel TAA isn't being respected enough by some fans.

It's one of those things where you'll only know what you had, after it's gone

I feel we are weaker without TAA in the team as his passing ability gives us something different.

JLC - that much is obvious. We’re talking about while he is unfit.

Nice one, @Faith. First off, I hope Conor B. and his fam keeps getting the help he needs off the pitch and I agree that he should start playing again as a distraction from what's going on with him and his fam right now. A useful distraction indeed.

As for Trent, he was not match fit, looked unfit BUT he had to play the last two games and it showed palpably. He needs time to fully recover, get fully health and then get back to where he was in the first half of the season where he was by far the best RB (offensively and defensively) in the PL.

I'm not saying anyone on this thread has been saying it, but I have noticed a little dismissing of Trent lately, particularly after the Arsenal game.
Also, with the emergence of the brilliant Bradley, we finally seem to have top class cover at right back.

But just going back to Trent for a second. I think we are really going to miss him and his skill set. Before his unfortunate injury i believe he was playing his best ever football for us. He has really grown into the leader role on the pitch and it has brought the best out of him.

I was actually listening to a podcast with Carra, New and Keano etc a couple of weeks ago. They were discussing the season so far and they were struggling to come up with a stand-out player of the season so far.
In the end they all agreed that Trent was probably the best best thus far.

Let's hope he gets back to that high level again in March.

Alison out for tomorrow now.

Macko, I've been seeing the same thing on here a bit BUT mostly on social media posts and chats during PL podcasts that I watch. I think it is mostly down to fans who either dislike Trent or think he should be playing in midfield esp. now that Bradley has emerged. Sometimes some of our fans can be that wild esp. those on SM creating agendas against players they claim to love for no damn reason. Sad, IMO.

And if Alisson is out due to a hamstring (just read that right now, @JK23) then, winning this title just got even harder BUT of course, not insurmountable. We have done great rising above injuries through out the season BUT there is a danger for a pile-up which may at some point, become to much to overcome. I hope not.

Macko - I agree. I haven’t paid much attention to who is doing that cos I usually just jog on from those comments. To me the dead giveaway was when Trent’s opponent would cut inside and Trent had no ability to turn. In hindsight, it’s a bit surprising that they allowed him to be out there for more than a half whilst still clearly not 100%.

Oli - the thing that frustrates me most about some Liverpool fans is how it seems loyalty only goes as far as these fans determine.
