Do people expect Klopp to say "yes we are after a centre back"?
Come on. Puts clubs on alert, attracts interest from other clubs, clubs put prices up etc etc.

When we approach a club is absolutely the correct approach. What I have said in my post is that why would you need to say if you're interested in anyone. I'd rather we went under the radar so not to invite potential interest from other clubs which does bump the price up. I can completely understand Klopp saying he is covered in defence and wouldn't be completely surprised if we then did go and sign one.

I think if klopp actually tried to buy someone the correct way ie not tap them up the 1st club contacted will then spread the message we're after a player.
Then we will be priced out of players having to make do with what we have then struggle mid table.
