What are your thoughts on Mason Mount as a player and his move to Utd?

Unlike many on here, I actually quite like him. I do question why they went in for him though, to me his best positions are as an attacking midfielder or as a left winger/ forward, but two of United's key men play in those positions already, so where's Mount playing? When you factor in the price and the wages, I would say they could've used the money better and strengthened the spine first with a GK, ST, CM and perhaps even a CB before signing Mount.

I like Mount, I enjoy watching him play and I'd have absolutely taken him at Liverpool but I don't rate him at a level were I'm particularly upset United got him.

I think the best move for him would be to Liverpool and to develop under Klopp for the next few years.
And I wouldn’t have minded him moving here at all, I think he’s a pretty decent player that with the right set up and guidance can go up a level. I just see him stagnating at United though.

genuinely don't care. wouldn't have minded if we bought him, I could see how he may have thrived with Klopp. But equally, now that he has gone elsewhere I'm 'meh' about it.

This might be totally wrong but won’t him and Fernades just be in each others way and space trying to do the same thing.

He's ok as a player and I hope he has a good, if unsuccessful, career at United.
I don't really think about any interest we might have had in him.
I'm not sure how he's really performed in the past but United might be good for him and vice versa.

I think he’s a good player with the potential to be great. Wouldn’t have minded having him in this new system we seem to be employing but I think Dom fills the void of a goal scoring midfielder now.

If Klopp wanted Moiint, I was fine with it even tho, I always thought we could do better than him (which we have, IMO) . However 60m with 240k reportedly with one year left on his deal? Nah, bro. Ain't having it one bit. Utd are welcome to him. They are known to overpay for such players.

I like Mount- hardworking, reliable midfielder has an eye for goal and a good passer of the ball. Energetic too and i think he would have done well in a Klopp side - But £60m in the last year of his contract and 250k a week? Nah far too much money involved.
