Just rewatched the goals on match of the day. Because I'm a glutton for punishment and also fancied them in HD rather than a grainy stream on a cracked phone!

1. What a howler from Lavia. Was he trying to show Klopp how well he can pick out Jota's runs? ?

2. We would be mid table without Alisson. Kelleher wasn't even that bad but you just know Alisson would've stopped 3 of their goals to turn that into a comfortable win. We truly are spoilt and I hope Ali doesn't realise he deserves better than the defence we have in front of him. He's worth 15-20 points a season I reckon.

I saw a few people earlier in the season saying we should sell Alisson, replace him with Kelleher and use the funds for Bellingham. This game shows why this is a bad idea.

You could make a case for Alisson saving all of those that went in yesterday.

Yeah hsf, that was the stupidest idea I have heard on here in a while, and there are enough stupid ideas here every day. He's probably the best goalkeeper in the world, and I think our best player. The guy is an absolute phenom. Kelleher is good, but he is not good enough to replace Ali yet. I don't think anyone will ever be. I do hope kelleher gets a move though, he deserves to be playing regularly, even though yesterday was not his best game. He will only grow further with regular football now.

Bit harsh to judge Kelleher on yesterday. He's barely played all season.
But Allison is a ridiculous keeper. I've never seen a keeper where I feel relaxed when players go through one on one as I know he's probably going to keep it out.

Just to add to the above, Kelleher also had Trent, Gomez, Matip and Tsimikas in front of him so it wasn't exactly a solid defence!

At the times I've seen Kelleher play he's looked relaxed and calm with the ball at his feet and a more than competent No 2, but, I do think he needs (and deserves) 1st team football. He's too good for the bench.

Ali still has a good few years left in him and he is, in my opinion, still the best keeper in the world right now! What always blows me away is his positioning. You rarely see him making acrobatic saves or being full stretch to tip one round the post because his positioning is so good.

I notice there's a lot of keepers nowadays who fling themselves in the air to tip a ball over the bar that's right above them and I don't really know why they do it?

The game was a nothing-burger for me personally so wasn't arsed about what the lineup was, who played well or not nor the scoreline. The season's been a failure and Klopp said it himself. We go lick our wounds n hopefully, we do a LOT better next season.

As for Lavia and as much as I love him and would like him at LFC as a personal preference but at the same time, I currently do not see the point spending a whopping 50m on him as a 19 yr old whereas we have Baj over here is is already more experienced than he is in the system and who is also a 19 yr old.

Alison has had some great days between the sticks. However he's had some major fart brain moments. Conceded goals I would have saved and I've not played in 12 years.
To say he gets us 20+ points a season is a far stretch. Maybe 3-7 additional points is more likely.
