Henderson has been cleared by the FA, over that "incident" with Gabriel in the Arsenal game. Relief. The last thing we needed now was further de-stabilizing headaches.

Why would you feel relieved? There was never a doubt in my mind about Hendo's character. There should be consequences for false allegations.

Nor mine BILL. Of all the players, you would be certain Hendo wouldn't come out with that sort of nonsense. Glad it's been sorted.

What was the specific accusation, racism?

A nothing-burger from jump, IMO. Whoever made whatever accusation needs to apologise to Hendo cos he was getting absolute dog's abuse online from loser rival fans accusing him of everything under the sun including racism. His reputation has been damaged by such a frivolous accusations. That is what I found disgraceful.

If Gabriel is a man and most of all a human being then he needs to apologise personally to the LFC Captain?

{Ed014's Note - let’s take into account his first language isn’t English so it may well have been a genuine mistake, if you watch the incident the way Xhaka turns to face Hendo and the look on his face suggests something was said.

Agree if a mistake then an apology never hurts.

Yeah similar thing to Bobby a few seasons ago w Holgate. Person making the false accusation should be held to the same account as a guilty person would. It's only fair. To make such an accusation you have to be very certain.

This now becoming a problem people making allegations that are not proved in football and the person making allegation walks away scott free and the person left with a stigma over their career.

ED14, I fully agree. If Gabriel really cared about the damage he has done to Hendo's stature and reputation on and off the pitch then, he should apologise for taking things the wrong way. That's defamation and one can be sued for it.

I literally could not be arsed for a nano second about whatever Xhaka or who ever else looked like on TV. A false accusation was levelled and his reputation is damaged cos I have seen the dog's abuse Hendo had been getting online (and is still getting, btw) .

IF I did that to a fellow human being, I would want to apologise for the damage I unknowingly caused to his reputation. If it was a mistake then, we shall see if Gabriel will issue the apology.

{Ed014's Note - my point about Xhaka was that something was clearly said Oli.

It does concern me for more than a nano second because for me it’s shows something untoward was said albeit not racist. But Xhaka didn’t look impressed.

The unknown is what was said and in reality if Gabriel misunderstood what was said.

That doesn’t mean Hendo should get dogs abuse and I’d ask, has he come out and said I didn’t say anything or that maybe I called him a knobber (or similar) and he’s clearly misunderstood my words.

Unfortunately no one is saying anything about it and more unfortunately the internet is full of moronic dick heads who love more than anything to jump on this kind of thing.

Hendo is a top bloke in my eyes and personally never had nor ever will have an issue with the guy.

Rather think it was old school football language than discriminatory. The FA are petty these days. Passion is slowly being sucked outta modern football as with VAR.
