Thanks for the review Ed, great read as usual. I do agree that it’s difficult to review something that’s quite farcical and so many things would have influenced the outcome had they been decided correctly.

Why do you think their individual games were littered with mistakes though? Not the first time different personnel were asked to play with each other mate?

{Ed001's Note - probably more of a mental tiredness than anything. This time of year you get a lot of these kind of performances as squads get stretched and players play more than they would like. Travelling etc all takes a toll.}

Many thanks Ed. The refereeing in that match was the worst I’ve seen since Everton away last year. Though Its pales into insignificance compared to Keita bottling that challenge for the first goal. I’ve played in Sunday league teams where that wouldn’t be accepted. He should have been subbed straight away.

Love Klopp but it took him until the 60th minute to change things up when Spurs could have had a Villa score by then. Did he really think Matip could play Son 1 on 1 and if so after the first 15 mins it was obvious he couldn’t. We’ve seen those games before so I’m guessing Klopp thinks it’s not worth sacrificing our attacking game but when we are getting cut open so easily it’s not a pleasant watch and we were very lucky they missed gilt edged chances. Personally I don’t get it.

Great read, Ed. I said the exact same thing. If the ref dies his job, Kane gets sent off and none of their chances happen the way the did. I also read people saying it was a fair result. Really? How can we class that as a fair result which 3 huge mistakes ref mistakes that the other team got away with to our own detriment? Imagine if we had lost? Would that have been a fair result? Farcical, really.

That said, I fully agree with you that we did not play well enuff to win individually and collectively cos some players dropped absolute stinkers so we take the point and we move. Happy Holidays to you and yours, sir!
