Milner did his job I was there.

Milner did quite well against poor opposition. Moreno was still a clear liability when he came on.

Sorry but those slating Moreno's performance in the Barcelona game obviously either never watched it or just want to slate Moreno to look like they're agreeing with others. Both Milner and Moreno looked pretty solid when they played considering the opposition and both had reasonably good games, Moreno especially linked up very well with Mane and could be the choice pick when we're at home and more attack minded. Yes Moreno has had his faults but you cannot come on and spout nonsense for the sake of it.

Milner's poor opposition was Messi for the majority of the first half, thought he had a blinder.

Hey I'm not saying Millner had a bad game. But a midfield player at LB is clearly not for the long term.

And as far as Moreno is concerned yes he is always brilliant going forward but unfortunately he's a left back first and if you guys claim to have watched the game you would have definitely him being twice being caught out of position which lead to Barcelona offenses.

I'm not slating moreno for the sake of it but it seems like he does not have positional sense.

{Ed041's Note - I thought Milner had an OK game, got caught out of position a few times but also covered very well to. He's not the answer though IMO.

Moreno was caught out positionally countless times when he came on. That's not spouting hate that's just fact.

He had been on the pitch for two minutes, ****ed about with the ball, ran down a blind alley and lost possession in a dangerous area.

if you thought his performance was solid then we have serious problems.

Fair enough that's your opinion poolie but this is not a vendetta, just an observation the way I saw it yesterday. Personally I thought Moreno was poor on the ball giving it away almost as soon as he was on the pitch, and positionally suspect. That said, no doubt it was a good team performance with lots of positives in defence and attack.

That was one of Morenos better performances, especially considering who he was up against. Him and Mignolet are just easy targets for criticism now. At least give them a bit of credit when they do very little wrong.

Have to say I don't think Moreno played badly yesterday. But that's tempered by the fact it was only a friendly. If he concentrated more and wasn't so prone to 'brain fart' moments then thus wouldn't be an issue. But he switches off to often and makes too many critical errors. I'd like to think that's being worked on by the coaching team.

I find it amazing that people can say 'moreno' and 'brilliant going forward' in the same sentence.
