The Independent has released an 'Exclusive' even though its been known on here for a while, nice one eds ;) Anyway they are saying that the interested party from China is a state backed group called SinoFortone, apparently they have committed a lot of money (5.2Billion) to projects in the UK in the last 12 months, and are now looking to buy Liverpool for £700m. They also have explored the potential to revamp Melwood and build a new stadium.

Why would they build a new stadium when we've just spent a fortune extending the current one.

The letter they send to UKSV was in February. But strange that they didn't know about LFC staying at Anfield and renovating the stadium.

They specialise in large infrastructure projects.
No real surprise they looked at the possibility of a new stadium but they obviously hasn't heard about the local council 😄.

I honestly believe the next owners will drive the club forward. Thanks fsg and all that but they can't take us to the top I don't think.
