Does anyone else think Milner has improved of late?

Hugely. Maybe not the most gifted technically (though certainly not terrible) but he's been involved in something like 5 goals in the last 6 games. Fair play to him, he's a good player.

I think it's good having one player like Milner in your team. The problem is when we have 3/ 4 whose main strength is fitness and running and not overly talented players.

Milner does a great job when you need someone to provide something in both Attack and Defence, but he lacks pace and trickery so he needs others around him to create movement, pace, finishing ability. Hence why he looks better with Firmino and Sturridge over a 4-3-3 and Benteke, Llalana (similar mould) and a midfield of Hendo, Can and Lucas.

Fencey had it spot on, we just had too many grafters and not enough stars when a solid side ideally has a bit of both.

He a far better player when pushed outwide. He has good delivery but needs to stay out there. There are far better options for centre midfield.

Not Milners biggest fan, but looked improved, that said i'm still not too convinced by him, but if he carryies on getting involved with goals one way or another then i can't say anything!

Also agree with Fencey, good to have a player like that who runs a lot but when you have a few players very similar you start lacking another dimension!
