a few issues still need ironing out, whilst I agree mignolet has been playing better open to debate in my eyes but not going to argue with people, but when was the last time he made a save that made you think ' wow' that was great. I for one can't even remember if he has. the goal conceded today won't go down as a mistake from him but why on earth didn't he push the first header out for another corner? secondly I think we could give moreno 100 crosses and the lad would hit the first man 95 of them he gets in great positions but needs a lot of work on his final ball. my main positive from today's game, whilst at 1-1 klopp goes for it, off comes can and on comes firmino you can tell he a manager who goes out for the win I think we got a very exciting season ahead when we get everyone back fit.

Not really. Can was rubbish through out and I knew that change coming. Klopp like Lallana and Ibe had a great game. So it was obvious.

Mignolet will likely be for sale this summer as with other big earners who havnt been good enough.

{Ed002's Note - Certainly Liverpool has looked at another goalkeeper again recently, but I am not aware that any decision has been made about the future of Mignolet at this time. It is a long time to go until Summer.}

Mignolet looks like he is asleep in the first ten minutes of every game.

That first shot the opposition have seems to never be saved if its on target. Its sounds daft and I agree with the people who will have a go at me, but watch him after this post at the start of every game he never seems to be at the races.

Klop dropped the ball today with his substitutions, Phillip was on his last legs at about 70 minutes and lallana was to. Should of given origi and texi at least 20 minutes to freshen things up. He will learn.

I hope he is loking for a crative mid and a gk for January or the summer because that is what we lack big time. Somene to split the defence with and outrageous pass and a goalkeeper who makes that Dave which keeps you in a game (not to disimilar to the ones bogers made agaidnt bournmouth)

Other than that where not going to see much difference from the team whilst operating in Europa league and not having hendo back in the middle is killing us. Can i like but years away from starting in the middle for Liverpool, he will be better when he understands the game more and I personally think he needs to hit the treadmill, he always looks like he is in quicksand! Very slow with his passes and always truding about. Never seems really sharp.

Edd002, i definately see us signing a quality keeper in the summer . Ino its a long time away but there are positions the club is weak in that we can't improve really until the summer window. so we will have to make do until then.

{Ed002's Note - The money was never going to be there this past summer for an expensive goalkeeper given the significant spending (and over-spending) on other players. The club were clearly happy with Mignolet and never tried to replace him. I am not sure that anything has changed much in the month Klipperty has been around and I would be very surprised if a decision has been taken this early to replace him next summer. The club has, as I have previously explained, looked at another goalkeeper since Klipperty arrived and they have continued to look at other players from a scouting perspective. But right now this does not mean too much and please don't read too much in to it. Unless Liverpool are planning something for January, then right now they are browsing and tyre kicking like many other clubs. Klipperty has said no changes in January and there is no money to be spent. I have said that, without calling him a liar, if the right player became available at the right price, then I would expect something could be done. The fans tend to see giant holes across the squad and often have distorted views - "we need a striker", "Mignolet has to go", "Can makes too many mistakes", "Lucas has to be moved on", "Moreno is not a good defender", "we must get four new centre backs", "Ilori is the greatest footballer of all time" etc.. Coaches and managers take in to consideration how a squad is built and how teams work together - they will look more at the group than individuals - and then they will look to individuals who can improve that group. Fans tend not to see that and simply crave "marquee" signings. It is a long way to go still. Rebuilding and make large numerical changes year-onyear has not suited Liverpool in the past - I doubt it will next summer either.}

on another side note I thought ibe was excellent again today. it's amazing what confidence can do to a lad, he has so much to learn but by heck he 'could' be a special player that boy.

edds wat I've seen of Bogdan he has done nothing wrong maybe a run in the side to really see how he does also are keeper on loan at aberdeen seems to be playing well. if you don't mind ed wat keepers have we been looking at cheers.

{Ed002's Note - I don't see Bogdan getting a "run" of games without injury or suspension and whoever is at Aberdeen will be staying there. Patricio was again looked at.}

Great post ed! Not fair though to brand everyone in the same bracket ehrn it comes to fans, some of us understand!

What I don't get is why it takes so ling for coaches to make decisions on players!

I get the what you have said above.

We have seen it though with every manager even back to rafa, the same with tactics or subs. Your screaming st the Tele to make that substitution and the cosches never seem to see it. Are they to close to the group and game. I mean because they can srr what a certain player can do in training do they leave a player on for that alone, knowing that they can do it even though it doesn't come around in matches.

Today lallana and courinjo needed bringing off. What is the problem with subs, someone like Tex coming on for 20 mins in place of lallana, the eay I would see it is there was no way Tex could drop below lallans level toward the end so what do you have to lose.

Bogdan I watched him against bournmouth and I don't think I have ever seen migs ever look as composed as he did and he made some great stops and made me and a lot of other fans feel like we were sound at the back. Why wouldn't he or won't he get a run in the team as I said above he can't do worse than migs (when he has those days) I've seen the eds mention the level of bogdan but what does anyone see in mignolet I personally think he is woeful and championship level at best! He only makes the saves that he should make as a goalkeeper bht offers nothing that he should to be at the top levels of the game. Does he perform well in training? Or do they see him as better than bogdan because I don't and a lot of other fans don't.

Could we really be stook with nigs for another season after this one? I really have to question the coaches eye for talent then because he is terrible. And never in a million years a top ten (league) goalkeeper.

{Ed002's Note - I don't bracket everyone together - just that most of the fans are not bright enough to realise that.

I am not sure I understand the "stook with nigs" comment but if you brush your tentaferes in a widdershins direction all of your fadgets will harmonise.}

Edd002, lfc need 3 top class players as i have said the past 2 summers and we have ended up with 8 plus who fail to make a real impact. We have failed to address the goalkeeping situation for years now and it is a major weakness in our team and has been for too long.
It is just of my opinion mate that we may be a lot better buying players we need in the future under klopp.

{Ed002's Note - Substantiated by what evidence to date?}

I just don't understand how Mignolet has any fans at the club. All keepers at the top level are excellent shot stoppers so that is not a reason to keep him. He can't kick straight, his decision-making is terrible, he flaps at crosses or punches (badly) like today when catching the ball was a real option. He doesn't seem to be vocal and able to organise his defence. Please someone tell me what they see in him?

Edd002 klopp bought well at Dortmund . i'm not a fan that expects rues etc to be brought in. Funds will be limited and expectations should be lowered however under precious management we bought players in positions that were not needed or young potential talents such as markovic that were expensive and ended up badly.
i just believe klopp will rectify were the team is weak in the future unlike past regime. Is there much evidence that will happen? No as he's just in the job but i believe in the man and his fantastic work at dortmund.

{Ed002's Note - I suspect that he is yet to reach the messiah status you are giving him. You are giving him the credit for everything at Dortmund and only remembering the players who did well - not the bad times, the grief and the issues. The expectations for change are far too high right now.}

Edd002 don't let this effect our bromance. We've been through so much, would be a shame.
