Well done to Chelsea Norwich and hearts for agreeing to pay all full time employees the living wage. Lfc should be next but let's face it not going to happen

Jose Enrique wouldn't be affected by any change to our policy as he's one of our part-timers.

I'm sure most of the staff behind the scenes on minimum wage are working harder than most of the playing/coaching staff right now.
Get it sorted LFC, you should be first in the queue to treat your staff properly.

It's a shame they don't do the same for matchday staff

Why treat the staff probably when they've always treated us fans like dirt?

Liverpool Football club and the moral high ground thing doesn't quite work for me.

As well as giving the staff more they should recruit more too as the customer service department is a load of plums.

{Ed001's Note - so it is ok to slag them off, yet you object to the obscenely overpaid manager being given stick? Hypocrite.}

It's a real special skill you have Davey of constantly talking out your arse.

Everyone should be paid a living wage and the fact that LFC has lazy players on tens of thousands a week but can't pay all it's staff a living wage is a disgrace, as it is with all the other non-compliant clubs.
Shanks would not approve of the current situation.

{Ed001's Note - I just wonder how these players can not be embarrassed by it myself. Especially someone like Gerrard, who was a local lad, earning well in excess of 100k a week, surely he must have been a little embarrassed when dealing with the staff at the training ground on minimum wage?}

Obviously not embarrassed enough to do anything about it ed.
The players collectively could have put up the difference to pay them all a decent wage and it wouldn't have made a dent, I know a lot of the players do a lot for charity, but charity must start at home.
Like you say these players deal with these staff on a daily basis.
Player power these days, they could have forced this issue.

The players aren't responsible for LFC staff wages - the club is.

Who knows what the players do with their salaries.

I know lots of footballers and many do far more for their fellow humans (giving up their own time or money) than the sanctimonious hordes on the internet who are always up for redistributing other people money.
