Hello ED02, if you are around, DO you see us signing a center back this window?

{Ed002's Note - Centre Back: Liverpool should be looking to add a CB but have stalled on pushing ahead to try and sign preferred options like Van de Ver and Schuurs. Perhaps they are waiting to make a decision on Jarell Quansah (who had a very good loan last season) or Billy Koumetio (whose loan was not really successful). Schuurs is still available and very experienced. They should look again.}

Surely it's a left food centre back lfc need. Isn't quansah right footed. In a back four you can have two righted footed players like vvd but if this back 3 tactic is staying then I don't understand why we didn't push for van de ven or inacio who had just signed a new deal with sporting. Schuurs is right footed and not the quickest so doubt he would be able to cover left back with the running requirements klopp would surely need. There's the brazilian at zenit but i cannot for the life of me recall his name,
he's 6ft plus, fast, composed, good in the tackle. Think his name is renan or similar.
Koumetio needs a loan and quansah's position in the squad will be very limited unless matip or gomez leave.

When Jorge became Sporting Director and it was clear that we were wanting a left-footed CB I assumed one or two of Matip, Phillips, Gomez would go and we'd look at Van De Ven, but he went to Spurs. I then thought we might trigger Inacio's release clause but he has now signed a new contract. We seemed to want Colwill but never had a realistic chance and we now seem to be about to start this campaign pretty much as we were. Strange.

Earlier in the summer Max Kilman was mooted as a possible option but at the time likely to move elsewhere. As a left footed HG CB, does he remain an option several weeks later or is a move elsewhere still more likely?
