Manu Utd interested in Joe Allen along with West Ham and Stoke. Any truth to these rumours Eds?

{Ed002's Note - Swansea approached Liverpool in respect of taking Joe Allen on loan in January - it was rebuffed but they might well make an offer to buy him this summer. Celtic are interested but might be priced out of the market. I am not aware of any approaches by Manchester United, West Ham or Stoke at this time.}

I thought reason he'd be looking to move is game time - which surely rules out any of the top half dozen clubs and suggests he'd be looking mid table and below for a move? Or do we just put much less value on his capabilities than others?
