Hello Ed's i was wondering if there has been any contact with Matip about a new deal?

is it a case we have one on the table and he doesn't want to sign or we just haven't offered one yet?

cheers.

thenaughtibear

{Ed001's Note - I don't know of one being offered to him yet, I am not 100% sure on that though.}

1.) 13 Aug 2019 18:36:16
ed001 is matip not in his last year if so the club seem to be moving abit slow on this one.

{Ed001's Note - I am sure they know what they are doing.}

2.) 13 Aug 2019 20:41:09
Matips' contract ends next summer. I am not sure if he has an option to extend the deal by a further year, but maybe the player is waiting to see if he will be first choice while the club looking to see if Gomez can cement his place in the starting eleven, before making any decision?

3.) 14 Aug 2019 09:02:10
Hopefully a new deal can be sorted, he was excellent alongside VVD last year.

4.) 15 Aug 2019 00:47:57
Similar with wijnaldum I feel, the club could simply be letting these guys earn their contract, 6 months ago matip was well out of favour, can't just throw him another 4 year extension when he's only proven good enough standard for 6 months over the last 3 seasons.

Gini too has improved and proven his worth but into his late 20s the club might be wanting him to show he can keep the high level to warrant it.

We've seen with likes of lallana, sturridge that guys can have a great season but then steal wages for 3 or 4 seasons. Matip and gini probably won't have offers from more exciting squads than us right now so let them prove they are worthy of an upgraded deal, no rush on our behalf.

Origi was far off being offered a long contract a couple of months ago and with just a year left he stepped up and earned his new deal but he's still young while matip and wiji are at the stage where a 4/ 5 year contract sees them past their peak, caution and patience can't be questioned.

Hi Ed's

Not sure if you remember but my brother in law is the bodyguard house sitter watcher type for both certain Everton and Liverpool players.

He is certain the Clyne is heading to Bournemouth (couldn't tell you any ideas of prices) the reason for this is that it has come up that they will need people on shifts watching the house from Saturday 21/7/18.

The same player has said that he expects Lallana is staying and not going anywhere.

Andrea Pinamonti (spelt it right this time) is still supposedly coming

Another one not Liverpool related is the man of the moment Jordan Pickford being linked with a move to Chelsea but all depends on what Courtois does.
This seems very farfetched I know and I agree id laugh it off but just passing on what i've been told which is direct from players too him (obviously take in to it Chinese whispers and all that aswell)

I know none of this is ground breaking but thought I’d share.

1.) 09 Jul 2018 13:26:24
Andrea Pinamonti, not a name I've seen linked. Good old fashioned rumour. Thanks for sharing.

2.) 09 Jul 2018 13:42:59
Cheers for passing on info mate, that's what this site is all about.

3.) 09 Jul 2018 17:26:30
Interesting that one because Chelsea were supposedly interested in Allison. So it might be liverpool related after all.

4.) 09 Jul 2018 23:11:42
Thanks for posting.

5.) 10 Jul 2018 11:52:22
not shooting you down mate but don't Liverpool go to America that day? just saying maybe wants his house looking after while on tour.

6.) 10 Jul 2018 17:48:38
Could well be. But its until just after xmas that they are contracted in for the shifts. It could all be a bit of nothing but just going off what a player has said and passing on chap.

7.) 10 Jul 2018 18:22:52
cant see andrea coming. he's just broke into inters team. can't see him playing third to bobby/ brewster and that's assuming all sturridge. ings. solanke move on.

Hello Eds,

I have been a reader everyday for about the past 5 or 6 years.

Finally I have a bit of something I can post lol. My brother in law works security for both Liverpool and Everton players/ staff. (can prove it to Eds with pics of him with mo salah and fat sam when he's been working) .
Some of the people he looks after are:
Leighton Baines
Fat Sam
Ross Barkleys gaff and moms place
Mo Salah
Lallana
Moreno

So he's given me a little nugget of info from one of the players apparently Clyne is looking to go to Bournemouth and his place is going to be rented out so my bro in law will have another job looking after his empty house until its sold.

The other piece of info is that we are after some chap Andrea Pinmoti? sorry about the spelling

Hopefully you have heard of this chap and my bro in law isn't being lied to loads haha.

1.) 09 May 2018 17:39:18
Thanks bear for the information.

2.) 09 May 2018 17:46:11
The lad i think you're referring to is the young inter milan striker Pinamonti who is only 18 19. He apparently had a good record at scoring at youth level. And is being tracked by a few clubs. Am sure eds will have more info than me.

3.) 09 May 2018 17:46:32
Thanks for the info!

For anyone else, to save a bit of Google-detective work, his name is Andrea Pinamonti and apparently Wolves are also after him - 19 yo forward from Inter Milan.

Know nothing about him - Adam/ anyone got any info? - but the last 'youngster' signed from Milan did OK in a red shirt ;-)

4.) 10 May 2018 08:43:41
Got to be honest Zeddicus, i have never seen him play. Italian youth football is obscure even for addicts like myself 😂

I've not had wi-fi for nearly 2 years now so I have to go to my parents or my mother in laws to stream games. So I tend to make the most of it and only stream Liverpool, RB Leipzig, or Roma games regularly.

I do know an Inter Milan fan from Brazil though, so I can ask him for his opinion if you'd like?

Ed's do you have info regards to Klopp siging a new deal? has a new deal been offered?
are the talks of him off after the current contract ends true?

cheers appreciate if nothing has been said as i expect its paper talk.

thenaughtibear

{Ed002's Note - He has three years to go and at this time that will be it- that could of course change.}

1.) 16 Sep 2019 18:00:09
I'd offer him the biggest manager wages in football to stay. In fact id double it. I'd do everything in my power to keep Klopp at Liverpool for years and years.

2.) 16 Sep 2019 18:28:29
Of course everybody is to a certain extent, but Jurgen seems more ambition driven than money driven. He's already getting a huge salary and I'm not sure he'd really be that interested in a salary rise unless we can match his ambitions.

If the owners can show that they'll back him to what extent he needs without putting the club under financial pressure, I think that's enough for him, to want to stay.

On the other hand, there is his own physical and mental state. If he thinks he needs to take a break for his own health and wellbeing, then that is exactly what he will do.

3.) 16 Sep 2019 18:45:06
Epic- Kloppo isn’t thinking about my physical and mental state (if he leaves) 😂😂😂.

4.) 16 Sep 2019 18:50:40
Until things change hopefully, Klopp will be done after his contract expires in 3 years.

5.) 16 Sep 2019 19:22:53
Haha Para-red.

I'd like him to stay for 20 years or more, but some things are more important than football. Not many, but some.

I, like many others, would be happy for him to take a sabbatical and return a year later. As long as we don't get relegated while he's having a break, haha.

6.) 16 Sep 2019 20:22:15
Wasnt that long ago people were saying that he's won nothing and never wins any finals. and how is win ratio was worse than rodgers. how times have changed
Id have his children.

7.) 16 Sep 2019 22:37:16
I just had a look at Klopp's first ever press conference when he first joined the club. And I look at him now (I watch every single post match conference) . It's been only 3 years but the man has aged as if was more like 10 years. Clearly the job takes a heavy toll on you. If the man wants a break after his contract then let him go. I'll miss him massively (as will everyone else) but personal health comes before everything else.

8.) 17 Sep 2019 18:16:04
Klopp addressed the contract issue apparently it's the drizzle on Merseyside that holding him signing a contract extension

Aray but his teeth have gotten 10 years younger 🤣😃.

9.) 18 Sep 2019 02:55:04
To be fair another 3 years left is a long time, no need to panic and try to renew, it's not going to be a situation where he's getting his head turned by Madrid or Barcelona etc, his contract really doesn't hold much importance. Remember 3 years ago we were finishing 7th or 8th outside a EL spot so just envisage what could be different in another 3 years time, no need to throw huge contracts or silly money at him now.

At Dortmund he went from winning the league to spending most of his final season only short time after struggling in the bottom half of the table.
Klopp isn't an individual who works towards his next pay rise and contract benefits.

This is amazing, i've never seen anyone say Bobby has been rubbish. The guys play opens up so much space for the others to get forwards, the only striker who plays like him is the one at wolves, You lose Bobby you lose a very integral part of the team for the style of football we play.

Not sure if you watch any of the games on tv or have ever been to Anfield but the guy is an absolute terror to defend against.

meh infact this is like talking to 6 year old man utd fan who says but he doesn't score more than blaaa blaaa.

Think of it this way, Jordan Ibe cost 15 million. Shaqiri will be a squad player and if he turns it on will be first team its a win win if he's poop he will get sold for 12 mill minimum. he's good just needs up his work rate which I'm sure will be discussed before being signed. Good squad player for 12 million for sure.

Wow did someone say spurs have a massive squad? Spurs are bare bones after the first 13/ 14 players.

Your judging a player v a team that is still missing 4 amazing players lol. do you think he would have that much space if he had to track back on mane bobby and mo?

we all want 100 million pound signings and such but wouldn't you want klopp to actually work with what he has as well? I know i do.

ha some of the replies from Ed25 are superb. DCL will be nothing more than he is, he's 22 now if you had signed him you would be kicking off that he's rubbish and booing him around October time again, he just won't ever score enough to move you on from where you are blinkered (same as you to our fans on origi) .

Origi is by no means a great option but at the same time why would we be spending 60-70 mil for someone to be a sub 80% of the time?

yes City have a better bench but as one of the other Eds has said, there is a lot of moaning about this.
