Saints reporting us to PL wtf happened there?

heisenberg

1.) 06 Jun 2017 11:44:48
Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!

We've been single handedly financing that club since Suarez left!

Since he's retired today wondering if I can get your take on Cisse ed01? Always thought he was unlucky with his injury and could have been good player in the prem.

heisenberg

{Ed001's Note - he was very unlucky with injury but I always thought he was a bit too inconsistent anyway. One minute his touch would be beautiful, the next it was that of a donkey with its eyes shut. Could be sensational one minute, the next terrible.}

1.) 08 Feb 2017 07:13:53
Cheers.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate.}

2.) 08 Feb 2017 09:38:52
Was he ever angry at Liverpool? I remember he was quite emotional when scoring for QPR against us, he seemed really ticked off.

{Ed001's Note - I am sure he was angry at times. He was brought in by a manager who had left before he arrived and Rafa was not sure of him. He had off field issues as well, personal stuff going on that affected him at times. He always seemed a very emotional guy to me.}

3.) 08 Feb 2017 09:39:18
He came to the club with blistering pace if a bit raw and I had high hopes for him. Unfortunately that broken leg against Blackburn seemed to effect his pace and he never quite lived up to expectations. Wish him all the best in retirement.

4.) 08 Feb 2017 14:15:39
I'm surprised that Cisse even had a more than decent career after the leg break cos he would late break his leg again while on international duty and it took him 18 months to come back from that BUT still had a decent career at OM, Sunderland, Panathinaikos (top scorer in the league), Lazio and Bastia.

5.) 08 Feb 2017 19:39:00
Scored a brilliant volley against West ham, Still one of my fav goal.

Everyone in the media is going on about how we can secure champions league football if we win but I just want to win to win a trophy. Champions league is a nice bonus but I want to see us win trophies. We're not arsenal.

heisenberg

1.) 06 May 2016 08:27:48
Heisenberg - I could hug you for that!

2.) 06 May 2016 09:16:12
Spot on Heisenberg, that's a bonus collecting the trophy is what it's about!

3.) 06 May 2016 10:26:54
For us it is all about trophies - for those in charge though I'm sure it's all about the revenue from the CL unfortunately.

4.) 06 May 2016 09:25:20
Exactly Heisenberg - when we look back, we'll be celebrating the trophies we have in the cabinet and the medals around our necks. Not how many times we finished 4th.

Now let's go on win the damn thing!

5.) 06 May 2016 12:42:31
Yeah that's why I always thought Europa was still a competition to take seriously because it's a decent cup. I would probably only put the premier league and champions league ahead of it in terms of prestige at club level. FA cup is historical but only big in England. I never understood the argument about it being a second rate competition. I know CL is where everyone wants to be but winning trophies is what it's all about. That's why I was so upset after we lost out on the so called 'Micky mouse cup' in Feb. Trophies are trophies.

6.) 06 May 2016 15:41:30
What makes it a second rate competition is the fact that they send teams relegated from the CL in the group stages into it. Until that point it's just a tourament for teams who aren't quite at CL level yet to experience top class European football. That point makes it a conceptual mockery but if you can overcome it, especially as one of the original team.

Think we need to get at them from the off on Thursday. Get the crowd going. If we get an early goal brilliant. If not need to not let it get us down and keep going.

heisenberg

1.) 04 May 2016 19:25:57
It'll be like Juventus 2005.

2.) 04 May 2016 19:50:22
an that Garcia goal.

3.) 04 May 2016 20:50:01
We have to tie the game before we can win it. Wi will not win the game by trying to score three games at a time. We attack them from the off but need to remember that be fore you win, you must first cancel out the deficit. if it goes to extra time and pens, so be it.

4.) 04 May 2016 23:09:13
And Sami's goal john. What a finish that was!

5.) 04 May 2016 23:51:35
Sami's goal indeed. What a strike!

02 May 2016 22:17:17
Congrats to Leicester.

heisenberg

1.) 02 May 2016 22:20:47
To be fair they have deserved it and I'm not sure I'll ever witness an upset like that over a full season ever again.

2.) 02 May 2016 22:25:57
Well done Leicester.
A great day for your City. with a World Snooker Champion tonight too.

3.) 02 May 2016 23:38:02
One of the greatest achievements in sport. Cup runs are one thing, and giant killings another, but over a season, is incredible. Admittedly the 'big' teams were poor, but 7 points clear is massive and will never happen again in my opinion.

4.) 03 May 2016 01:58:32
This why we love sports, an arena where the little engine that couldn't, not only could, it did. Congratulations to LC. You've deserved it, hands down.

5.) 03 May 2016 04:34:12
Congrats Leicester great day in sport.

6.) 03 May 2016 06:04:33
Yeah agree, congratulations to them, what a team.

7.) 03 May 2016 06:35:59
My salute to the team of Leicester and their manager.

To win a League over 38 games cannot be chalked down to luck or other teams being poor etc. This is pure hard work, team play and managerial success.

I feel there is a lesson here for Liverpool. It's a simple game where anything is possible. Let's take inspiration for what we want to achieve!

8.) 03 May 2016 08:19:48
Incredible Roy of the Rovers stuff. Amazing for LCFC, the city and their fans AND just as amazing for all the fans of football around the world. Fantastic and will make a truly wonderful film!

Not too old but clearly there's a problem failed to really make an impact at Newcastle or Hull.

Thoughts on the future of Sturridgeach ed?

heisenberg

{Ed001's Note - depends on him, I know he doesn't want to leave, but I also can't see him getting regular football with us, which he clearly needs right now. Personally I think he will have to leave for the sake of his career.}
