Hey ed001 wanted to ask why Clyne was not offered an extension to be part of the squad until the end of the season similar to Lallana. The whole circumstances of his exile from the squad especially his never ending back injury is suspicious to say the least.

dilakh2

{Ed001's Note - nothing suspicious about it, the guy was a party animal and was completely unsuited to a Klopp team. He is the kind of guy you don't want around a bunch of professionals, he would drag others down with him. So you get rid. If you search online, you will find lots of pics and vids of him and his wild parties. He upset Eddie Howe by taking a day off midweek there to fly a party of hangers-on and random insta-'models' abroad for a wild party.}

Hey ed001 seen we have been linked with Todd Cantwell. What do you think of him as a player, to me he seems raw and can be inconsistent.

dilakh2

{Ed001's Note - too lightweight, takes far too many touches, no brains. Lots of potential though.}

1.) 13 Feb 2020 19:12:46
If he did that celebration in front of the kop I'd knock him out.

But I like him as a player. Yeah he's small but so was benyoun. I see some similarity. I think there's a player in there.

2.) 13 Feb 2020 20:25:43
nowhere near lfc quality.

3.) 13 Feb 2020 23:04:37
Cantwell = Lallana Mk2.

4.) 13 Feb 2020 23:42:09
Nah agger do. Lallana can tackle and cantwell can finish.

Match review Ed01?

dilakh2

{Ed001's Note - trying to do it now mate.}

1.) 08 Apr 2017 19:24:48
Match review ed?

{Ed001's Note - still working on it, there was a lot of editing to do across the sites, so I have only been able to do it in fits and starts. Should be done in ten minutes or so.}

01 Apr 2017 16:03:05
Match review ed01 when you get the chance.

dilakh2

{Ed001's Note - doing it now mate. Would be done but I was watching the 3pm kick offs.}

A question for ed01 it seems we have a real conveyor belt of talent coming through our youth system. I wanted to know how much of it is down to the restructuring benitez done of the youth system all those years ago.

dilakh2

{Ed001's Note - pretty much all of it.}

1.) 16 Feb 2017 05:06:02
Fantastic i guess you could say it is benitez's lasting legacy.

{Ed001's Note - one of. He has had a number on Merseyside as a whole that are far more important. The best thing he ever did was bring his family to Liverpool, as Montse has done so much for the city. If anyone deserves legendary status within the city, it is the Benitez family. Forget the football, the work they do for charities etc is immense.}

2.) 16 Feb 2017 07:54:19
it's nice to hear stuff like this ed.

3.) 16 Feb 2017 08:39:26
Fantastic family, huge respect to them.

4.) 16 Feb 2017 09:36:56
Rafa still loves the club and easily inside the best tacticians in clubs history. During his time he had a brilliant core of staffs around him who were simply the best. His family still lives in merseyside and I do remember him applauded and crying in one of the Hillsborough memorial Day.

5.) 16 Feb 2017 10:48:11
Loved rafa like ed say the hole fam love liverpool. Also u wouldn't see jose or pep drop down a league like he has legeand.

6.) 16 Feb 2017 11:55:51
Would you ever have Rafa back one day ed?

{Ed001's Note - not as manager no.}

7.) 16 Feb 2017 14:14:26
If it wasn't for Klopp. I'd love to see rafa back but that won't happen. I love the man but I believe Klopp is by far the better man to manage our club.

8.) 16 Feb 2017 16:20:14
I wouldn't, LFC16. His time is gone and it should stay that way. As for what he and his fam did for the club and the community, he deserves the credit. It shows that a true gentleman cannot be found on the pitch where the cameras are on. It is when no one is there to see the great things that they do off the pitch that they can be judged and Rafa and his fam passed that test swimmingly.

9.) 16 Feb 2017 18:09:19
For all the good things Rafa and the Benitez family has done, I still can't quite forgive him for selling Xabi Alonso.

10.) 16 Feb 2017 22:13:52
Good old Rafa, brought some great memories but also put his nose in where it did not belong. In the end, he was to keen on getting involved in politics, like he has at every club he has managed at. Leopard does not change its spots. Except at Chelsea where he was like a pawn.

Around the dinner table he probably will be the most humble guy you can find but I would definitely not want to see him back managing Liverpool. His time had come and gone which ended up being the better for Liverpool.

11.) 17 Feb 2017 01:26:22
Not in a million years, Max. Rafa is history and should stay there.

ed002 I keep reading that he will have a chance to train with the first team and be offered a path into the first team. However isn't he under 18 and won't be required to complete his education until he is older than 18.

dilakh2

{Ed002's Note - Well if Liverpool have him training full time and are not meeting his educational needs then they will be well and truly screwed. Maybe Liverpool are above the rules that they have signed up to?}

Hey kloppboss go watch an actual game were Mina was forced to defend. One of the worst defensive performances I have ever seen in Barca's last game of the season. Cost them an unbeaten streak in the league. How can you say you don't care that he struggles with the basics of defending, you can't just buy a player just because he excels at one part of the defending.

How can anyone even believe this rumour. Why would Leverkuson allow a contracted player to visit another side. It makes no sense it would be blatant tapping up.

Has to be Trent, nothing against Milner but Trent needs a run of games to prove that he can be the teams first choice RB.

He was a good defensive mid jonny but his lack of footballing brain limited any other role he could play. Hence why Barcelona shoved him at cb were even there he is rubbish.

dilakh2

{Ed007's Note - You can't beat a good defensive mid jonny, they give much needed extra protection compared to those ultra thin ones that just rip when you try to stretch it on.}

To be fair he wasn't tested defensively. The one time he was Zapata fella got in behind but Gomez covered for him and followed the run. Mind you Zapata still got his shot away and was unlucky not to score. The thing with Rhys is although he might be comfortable on the ball, he is painfully slow and if he does get caught out which he will as he is still learning the game. He just doesn't have the recovery pace to get back.

Ed001 have you seen Bergkamps article on the BBC football page. Mentions everything you always say how youth coaches no longer let a player think for themselves and that is what cryuff taught him. Essentially creating robots who struggle in matches when something goes wrong and have to look over at the bench for help.

dilakh2

{Ed001's Note - I haven't read the article, but you see it all the time, young players not figuring out how to fix things for themselves. That is one of the differences with Klopp's system over Pep. Klopp gives players freedom to think for themselves, hence why they get given so much freedom to roam about. Pep wants 11 robots doing exactly what they do in practice, repetitive tactical plays that have to be done exactly right or he is in their ear.}

Alonso is one of the best players of all time, especially in the role he played. Gareth Barry was a decent player but is not even on the same planet ability wise compared to Alonso.
