Brewster to Palace for 19 million, 6 million in add ons apparently.

1.) 21 Sep 2020 12:25:23
I was expecting upwards of £25 mill.

2.) 21 Sep 2020 12:26:00
Apparently we have first refusal and a buy back clause set at £37m too. Pretty decent deal, if you ask me.

3.) 21 Sep 2020 12:46:32
Sounds like a good deal but I'm not sure if Palace is the ideal club for him. Whatever it is, if he goes, I wish him the best.

4.) 21 Sep 2020 13:14:18
I'd say that was a good deal in the current climate. Especially if the first-refusal and buy-back options are true.
Let him commit to another club and reach his potential and if he proves to be the player we think he could be, then we buy a great player for 12-18m (the difference) . I know there would be all types of other fees involved, but it has got to be best for him at the moment if he is not going to be getting regular game time with us.

5.) 21 Sep 2020 13:25:35
Not ideal in terms of play or coaching staff but should get plenty of game time. Should be a starter straight away.

6.) 21 Sep 2020 13:33:19
Palace is perfect for him. He will score goals for them because they have players on wide that will cross to him.

7.) 21 Sep 2020 13:44:27
To get that much for a player with 0 minutes of top flight football and only 6 months of professional football under his belt is pretty good I would say.

8.) 21 Sep 2020 13:57:35
I agree, Palace is perfect for him. While Roy was not a good fit for us, he's clearly a good coach and I've been impressed with how he's handled some of the talent coming through at Palace.

He's probably a better fit for them than he is for us at the moment, as we don't really play with an orthodox number 9.

9.) 21 Sep 2020 14:27:14
Palace have denied this and have asked sky to take it offline as Steve parish palace chairman says they haven’t made a bid formal or informal and its totally fabricated.

10.) 21 Sep 2020 18:07:33
Bit disappointed that brewster is looking likely to leave. Hoping he could be our new Michael Owen. But he isn't going to get a sniff now jota is here. Good luck to the lad, hope the buy back is legit.

11.) 21 Sep 2020 21:34:59
Not sure how people think he would walk in to the Palace team. Batshuayi and Zaha both would be ahead of him and even Jordan Ayew at this stage would also be ahead of him.

Sheff Utd on the other hand, higher up the table but I think it would be easier for him to start there than with Palace.

12.) 22 Sep 2020 12:03:32
Leeds would be a far better option for him, similar playing style to us, would fit right in there in my opinion.

Apparently Origi to Wolfsburg on loan for a year.

26 Jul 2017 16:14:37
Apparently Emre Can has no intention of signing a new contract, anything on this?

1.) 26 Jul 2017 16:39:13
Think that says it all bye Mr can don't want people who don't want to play for the club. 35 mill an I'd be happy.

2.) 26 Jul 2017 20:05:46
That is not true, OP. Ed01 said Can is assessing his options which is normal as he want more game time as he wants to be in Russia with Germany next summer. Nothing wrong with that.

Manchester United have made a mockery of the word 'deadline' too.

"The treatment of Carvalho has been nothing short of a disgrace form Klopp and co" - Really? What if he just isn't good enough?

Liverpool spent massive money on Van Dijk and Alisson and went on to win the league and champions league. Not sure why people are trying to force the point that you don't need to spend. Spending massive amounts of money works, whether that sits well with people or not.

Origi is a top bloke but a terrible footballer, he has been diabolical when given chances to prove himself, bottling challenges and giving up chasing balls. He absolutely should be moved on, with nothing but well wishes of course.

Origi is dreadful. I understand after his goals in the UCL he has legend status and anything said against him is haram but he needs to be moved on.

In my opinion we need a world class attacking midfielder to give something different when Bobby is out of sorts. The Ox, Jones, Naby and Shaqiri are not it.

I like Clive Tyldsley and Ally McCoist. Carragher is an embarrassment.

Agreed Ed025. Origi scored some important and weird goals but he has never been any good, i recall Wolfsburg couldn't wait to end his loan he was so poor. For his limited abilities he has done VERY well for himself.

{Ed025's Note - yeah SG and who can blame him?, made a nice living out of being very average so well done to him mate..
