Would be great to have a stupid rumours slot say once a week.

To allow thise who need it to get it out the system.

Then the rest of the time have genuine natter.

I mean the mpappe rumour? Really.

The edd should have a code or word to signify nonsense/ absurdity. Maybe something like . DOH

Will save the edd a lot of time replying and the rest reading.

1.) 17 May 2019 10:53:04
You mean Mbappe is ridiculous because he obviously is joining he obviously isn’t?

2.) 17 May 2019 11:01:12
Used to just look at who was posting the rumour, it’s became a lot harder since Harry left though.

3.) 17 May 2019 13:51:31
Should be just the Eds posting the rumours. 9.9 times out of 10 the users who do post rumours have read it from the BBC gossip page or twatter, it gets silly.

4.) 17 May 2019 15:17:23
Ha exactly Salah. There’s a stupid rumours slot every day 😀.

5.) 17 May 2019 17:33:47
The old school rumours have died BECAUSE people get stuff from the BBC gossip page etc. Now all posters do is ask"i read such and such is signing, is it true? " And then argue when the answer is"no". I love a good "saw fekir at the airport" rumour, i don't love recycled news.

6.) 17 May 2019 22:00:03
Nah, Salah let anyone post rumours, just only pay attention when it comes from one of the Eds.

Question for Edds

Would reply appreciate your thoughts on silly season, I mean pre season.

I can imagine the rumours pages pick up in activity within a few days of the season finishing.

But particularly for edd2, when do genuine transfer activity info start to become available?

Last season The fabinho transfer came out the blue.

Do you see this as a future trend and is info getting harder to come by?

Finally, if info is leaked, why does it get leaked and by whom.

Apologies if this is a long answer.

{Ed002's Note - (a) Clubs are working on transfers year round. (b) Fabinho had been considered the previous summer when Liverpool were looking for a RB. (c) Information is not hard to come by in most cases. (d) Information is leaked by a chap named Bernard.}

1.) 11 May 2019 17:24:05
Klopp met Mbappe in a Blackpool patisserie promising him free crossiants for life, he signed on for £2.57 and a pear tart. . oooppsss there I go again.

2.) 11 May 2019 17:16:36
I knew it'd be a Bluenose.

3.) 11 May 2019 17:20:33
Bernard from Bolton? 🤔.

4.) 11 May 2019 17:34:51
No, Southampton.
He's a Saint Bernard.

5.) 11 May 2019 20:03:41
Thanks for the reply edd2.

I shall disect.

6.) 11 May 2019 20:06:03
Bernard not sure about patisseries in Blackpool. Do Sayers and Greggs count?

Loads of people throwing in the towel

To those I ask should we play the reserves against Newcastle and put everything into the Barcelona games.

No chance. We aim for 97 points. that's it.

When I looked at the fixtures 10 games ago i thought city may win all of them and if they did they deserved the title. The one team that stuck out was Leicester. My opinion.

I think the 2 teams this year that have been brilliant against us were an city and Leicester.

There is always hope and that in a nutshell is what football is all about.

Let's hope the players and manager don't feel the same and chuck in the league.

Had mahrez put the penalty away at anfield it would already be over. Talk of us throwing it away is ridiculous. We have done amazing to keep up with city.

Get a grip and enjoy the ride.

We hold our head high. We beat Blackburn all those years ago.

1.) 25 Apr 2019 08:59:08
Spot on buddy.

2.) 25 Apr 2019 09:36:23
No game is decided before the ball is kicked. they may not get points in the last 3 games itself. who knows?

3.) 25 Apr 2019 11:11:18
Great post Ravi, totally agree! We should be aiming for 97 points and see what happens. I think it'd be a major upset if City lost it now but you never know in football. The premier league throws up so many surprises, on their day anyone can beat anyone. Admittedly it's not looking likely but there could be one final twist is this title race yet.

4.) 25 Apr 2019 13:48:24
Burnley will kick and park the bus there the new stoke aswell eother way every game will be interesting we have 3 cup finals and a semi final left so let's keep working hard.

5.) 25 Apr 2019 16:00:42
It’s very possible they will win their last three games, but in no way a given. Don’t give up unless the last whistle of the last match.

6.) 25 Apr 2019 17:33:02
Burnley away can potentially be a major stumbling block for them, I certainly wouldn't want to play them away at this point!

Both teams still have all to play for and nothing is guaranteed. Honestly, we should never be sad at United getting beat (haha)

Whatever happens this has been a hell of a season and you could argue that both teams deserve the title, whoever comes out on top!

7.) 25 Apr 2019 17:35:53
Mahrez did put the penalty away - so far away that no-one has found it yet. It's floating around in space with Charlie Adam's effort in the Carling Cup Final in 2012. If Sané hadn't scored in January the title-race would be all over in our favour. 'IF' is the smallest word in the English language but it is also one of the largest. It's been a great season and I am convinced that next season is going to be even better with a couple of players leaving and a couple more stepping up.

8.) 25 Apr 2019 16:59:12
Like I said after last night's game, if you have given up and thrown the towel then there's the door. N btw, don't let it hit you in the arse on the way out.

23 Apr 2019 17:54:31
Great debate about salah on here.

For the rumours of him being sold my take is:

Why concern yourself when the season is not over. And if he decides he wants to leave, well good luck. The same was said about coutinho. I went as far as saying we finally got a chance of winning something with him gone as he was not a team player.

Guess who got criticiswd for that opinion?

There's always another player waiting to take the vacancy. We as a club know that better than anyone else.

As for Salah's season, imo the accolade he got last year has given him a big head and he controls his own emotions. If vvd wins player of the year, you will not see the drop in him next year and you certainly won't see him add the extra pressure onto himself. Vvd will remain vvd.

Salah is a fantastic player, the talk of him being amongst the messi's of this world are impossible to reach. He needs to be salah, a great player who with the help of his teammates can help his team achieve the impossible.

He seems to me to be a player who has started to believe in the hype.

Team comes first. Individual accolades should come when the team does well. Just look at sterling.

1.) 23 Apr 2019 19:35:15
Who said he's being sold?

18 Apr 2019 14:02:57
What I love about klopp.

One of the things that have made me miss the enjoyment in football is nervousness and apprehension.

Last years final run-up i just did not enjoy. I did not enjoy the build up to the final. The nervousness of knowing if we beat Porto we had the easiest fixture of the other teams. I hated the fact that I looked into superstitions and numbers.

A few things klopp has said has made me enjoy this year without the anxiety of the last few decades.

A perfect example of that was when he said we have THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY BARCA.

I sat back and thought about those words.

Think about those words.

Its a chance to prove yourself.

A chance to show the world who you are.

A chance to go up against the best and prevail.

A chance to show what experience has tought you.

A chance to get to where this team belongs.

An opportunity.

You have to work for opportunities.

Now let's go and work for the next opportunity.

Nothing but positives.

Those words have made me look forward to this game unlike last year.

Then after the game one of the players said we will try and win our games in the league. Aftrr that Whatever will be will be.

Last year I would have assumed that was defeatist.

Now I see it as a sign of assurdness. A belief in ourselves. If you going to take the title, you going to have to earn it.

This team and it's mentality is growing to be champions.

It's coming.

It's just when.

1.) 18 Apr 2019 14:28:55
Too right ravi. We are so balanced but with flair also, i think we are the perfect team to beat them.

And its a privilage to play barca. Amfield is going to go crazy. You'll hear YNWA in preston.

2.) 18 Apr 2019 14:37:33
What he should have said was Barcelona have the opportunity to play Liverpool and good luck they will need it.

3.) 18 Apr 2019 14:41:13
Wait, that seemed positive there Walter?

Are you okay?

4.) 18 Apr 2019 15:00:32
Lol c Matthews.

5.) 18 Apr 2019 16:14:20
NO WAY! Neg Walter made a POSITIVE comment? Hallelujah!

6.) 18 Apr 2019 16:21:21
Nice one Walter, you're almost a believer!

7.) 18 Apr 2019 19:12:54
I think Walter hit unit early. I'm sure the rest of that post was something like. "because FSG have been here for years and we should have been a multiple title winning squad 3 years ago if they spent money, not sold our best players and actually wanted to win things instead of making money. "

8.) 18 Apr 2019 20:43:52
You've got to beat the best to be the best.

We are really getting there as a team.

9.) 19 Apr 2019 15:30:35
Fully agree robbiesline.

I have watched them a lot this season and they love to be given time and respect.

Man utd showed that they are seriously vulnerable if you believe on yourselves.

I can't think of any time when we have played them and we have at least a 50% chance.

Anfield will rock them.

Good player Perez.

He at Newcastle and that explains his low passes.

Great shout to go for him imo.

Fully agree.

Please can any of the Edds now shed light in what his contract was at liverpool as it appears that stopped him. from making appearances. Or am I misinofrmed.

Will be interest in to. see how both ryan Babel and markovic do at Fulham.

{Ed001's Note - the only thing that stopped him making appearances was his terrible attitude and the fact he was crap when he did play.}

It would be great to go splashing the cash.

Question is on what area.

We need left and right back. But as they won't play much options will be limited.

For me recruit from within in these areas. Motivation will not be an issue.

We have grucic and ox who can make an impact in midfield and ox out wide.
So midfield is fine.

Up front we look light.

We have Brewster and imo we maybe need a number 10 who can fill both roles.

So not really a lot needs to change.

We need 1 may be or 2 new players and that's it, unless someone leaves.

I would love zaha. But do we need him. Well no. But I prefer us to get him than say man Utd.

If Firmino gets an injury we will be stuffed.

So a number 10 should be the priority.

They try their hardest.

I get the feeling only a select few really know what's happening with deliberate leaks here and there within football.

The issue is not the information the the Edds give out.

The issue is the ridicule passed out for getting it wrong for whatever reason.

Therefore those that ridicule ruin it for the rest of us and

it's these people that are the problem.

How many other midfield have achieved 97 points on a season and let's chuck in a euro cup.

It can be argued if it was the defence that was pivotal or the striker force.

The midfield was just as important.

This midfield is maybe one creative player away from being perfect imo.

My uncle's an Everton fan.

{Ed025's Note - at least there is some sanity in the family then ravi.. :)
