Liverpool rumoured to after Tottenham target Nicolo Barella from Cagliari.

Perception

1.) 17 Sep 2018 07:26:38
Ah classic click-bait. Are you sure it's not 'Man United and Chelsea dealt transfer BLOW as Liverpool move into pole position to sign Tottenham and Arsenal target from Cagliari City'?

{Ed001's Note - that is not even the true story. The story is that Barella wants a Premier League move and he is also desperate to meet LeBron James. James being a part-owner of Liverpool who attends the odd game, it was suggested Liverpool should use his influence to go and sign him. There is no suggestion of interest from us.}

#LFC have agreed a £2.9m deal with Anderlecht for Lazar Markovic.
What a coup!

Perception

1.) 31 Aug 2018 18:44:49
Agreed, money for a player most people were saying we should just give away for free plus a 50% sell on clause. Edwards does it again!

2.) 31 Aug 2018 20:04:14
The guy was purchased for circa £20 million. Four seasons of his career ruined while in his prime and A massive loss on his resale value. A disaster is the word I would use myself.

3.) 31 Aug 2018 20:40:55
You pretty much summed it up Irish Rover, Edo2 did say Liverpool massively overpaid what anyone else would, I think it was Chelsea who were originally interested. The Eds also said he was definitely not ready to move to the premier league.
4 years of his life wasted, let's hope he can resurrect his career elsewhere.

4.) 31 Aug 2018 20:50:29
Good luck to the lad, fingers crossed he can reignite his career.

{Ed025's Note - good riddance is the words you are looking for salah, a drain on liverpools resources for far too long and contributed absolutely nothing mate, i would whisper those 3 little words in his ear...on yer bike..

5.) 31 Aug 2018 21:05:15
Can’t just blame the club. Never done anything on any of the loan deals he had either! “On ye bike”.

6.) 31 Aug 2018 21:17:01
Lol Ed25, I can't argue with that mate.

7.) 31 Aug 2018 21:41:50
Blimey Ed. Someone's after a wooden spoon for Christmas. You're stirring yours down to the nub! ;)

{Ed025's Note - i just tell it like it is bardzo, i cant stand freeloaders i see enough of that drinking with my liverpool supporting mates.. :)

8.) 31 Aug 2018 23:05:36
“Almost” scored a screamer against Sunderland. Got sent off against Basil. Lazars legacy.

9.) 01 Sep 2018 03:19:37
Yet the move collapses.

10.) 01 Sep 2018 06:22:34
I think Markovic realises he will never make the same kind of money in his career, and he is trying to maximise on that income while he still has it. Terrible that he decided not to move for playing time.

{Ed0333's Note - I would have done the same thing. He’s probably on more money at Liverpool a week than what he was being offered by Anderlecht, so he burns the last year of his lucrative Liverpool contract and does a Bosman next season. He’s still young for a footballer and still has time to resurrect his career although i don’t think it will be a stellar one.

11.) 01 Sep 2018 06:43:43
To be fair, and I have no idea of the specifics, but he'll yeah I would burn a year on the bench on significantly higher wages then leave for free. He gets to train with this team and can continue some form of development that way. Go get that money Lazar!

12.) 01 Sep 2018 06:47:18
And what would he do next year Ed033? He would be a free agent and will have no suitors or only the same set of suitors who are offering today? He won’t play a single minute which means he will have nobody watching him!
If he is planning to retire this year then yes stick on to what you have.
He should have accepted the wage cut and play for an year or two and then big clubs would always come and offer him money!
If you play less, you get less! Simples!

{Ed0333's Note - Hello Harry, I hope your well pal and having a fabulous weekend. Let’s deconstruct the bunkum that is your post. You contradict yourself so much I’m wondering wether your on a wind up but knowing you I’m sure you endorse your post and believe it to be Pulitzer Prize worthy. “He would be a free agent and will have no suitors or only the same set of suitors”. How can he be a free agent, have no suitors and have suitors and the same time? Furthermore I suppose you know better than his agents at Soccer Mondial with regards to his career. Do you really think the player is gonna retire after his Liverpool contract finishes? This is pointless I can’t be bothered to invest any more of my time on this anymore...

13.) 02 Sep 2018 07:18:21
Since I assume we are paying him more in a week than most people make in a year, there must be some use we can put him to?

Making sure the footballs are properly inflated? Playing the Champions League anthem? Must be something . . .

14.) 02 Sep 2018 18:26:09
It must have been a significant pay cut for him not to pursue it. I actually rated him but he's not of the quality we need now. Shaqiri is a better player so he's pretty much no chance of getting any meaningful minutes for Liverpool now. Like Ed002 said, there's still a chance he'll move to Portugal as their window is still open for another 3 weeks.

30 Aug 2018 14:25:37
Anyone knows what's happening with Origi, Markovic and Mignolet?
Valencia has recently signed Gonzalo Guedes and that is the end of their pursuit on Origi. Dortmund won't pay anything close to what we ask for the player. So a loan is the last resort or he stays.
Markovic?
Mignolet?

Cheers.

Perception

1.) 30 Aug 2018 14:46:07
This is just an opinion based on what i've read but,
Marko to turkey, a guess would be Besiktas
Origi to stay, Solanke to go on loan instead
Migs to stay, although ed002 has said his agent is still trying,
Ojo on loan, ideally to championship, can't see playing in france helping him.

2.) 30 Aug 2018 14:48:10
scratch that, didn't see the news about ojo!

How you doing these days Ed01? Long time 😎.

Perception

{Ed001's Note - I am good thanks Harry, I would say it is nice to see you back but I see you are already moaning despite us having a 100% record!!! What is that all about??? Of course we rely on our front three to score goals, just like we rely on our back four to stop others scoring them - it is their job.

How are you anyway mate? Obviously not enjoying being top of the league that much.}

1.) 27 Aug 2018 16:55:31
Harry is probably happier that Chelsea also have 3 wins out of 3.

2.) 27 Aug 2018 17:24:27
Watching Leeds these days Ed01? I have actually subscribed for their games. That man is a legend. The bucket man. Marcelo Bielsa 😁😁. I have been reading a few books about him. First time in the history of English championship the games are televised in South America. You know why? Marcelo Bilsa, The philosopher 😈😈😈.

{Ed001's Note - I have been watching and enjoying doing so. Bielsa is a mad genius and a defo legend.}

3.) 27 Aug 2018 17:48:43
Good to see you back harry, hope you’ve been keeping well and taken that kovacic poster off your wall.

4.) 27 Aug 2018 18:16:49
I'd never seen Bielsa but imagined him and I nailed it exactly, hair eyes everything.

I'm watching Leeds now too.

5.) 27 Aug 2018 18:54:20
Fail to see the fuss myself.

Many a manager have created good ways of playing, inspired pleanty of people but legend?

He's a mad genius but that's where it ends. I'll probably be insulted and told I don't know what I'm talking about but in management apart from having his teams play well, he's done nothing. Constantly let his players and fans down, sickly volatile and nowhere near this legend status that should be reserved for people who actually gave back to the sport.

Fergie. Shankly. Paisley. Wenger. Klopp. Pep. These guys are and did not just play fabulous football but they also gave the people and fans of the club they managed glory and riches beyond there wildest dreams.

Klopp took Mainz to the budeliga for the first time in there history. Fergie did knock liverpool off there f perch. Wenger changed a culture of football and a football team. Pep took a very good team and made them possible one of if not the greatest teams we have ever witnessed.

I love beilsa but just don't believe he is a legend of the game. Someone who should go down as a very good do contributed and someone who gave us an great way of playing football, but many a manager has done that. For every single new method there was someone before it, there's people after beilsa and for damn sure there were people before him.

World class players and legendary people of the game should be reserved for people who actually deserve it.

A player who has world class talent but does nothing with it but be lazy does not deserve to be on par with a Ronaldo who had it and did everything with it, no matter how good said player could of been.

{Ed001's Note - whatever. Pointless talking to you.}

6.) 27 Aug 2018 19:07:17
Absolutely Ed01 😂😂. Utterly pointless. Those names he mentioned are managers and head coaches which is where the bucks ends!
Bielsa is a philosopher to modern attacking football. Those names used to sit in his classroom to pick up points.
Klopp and Pep would sit all day in his classroom😂😂.

{Ed001's Note - it is not that, it is the fact he suggests Bielsa has done nothing other than produced teams playing good football. A tiny bit of research would have shown him how ignorant that comment was, he even said he expected to be told it. It is pure WUM material and I have no time for trolls like him.}

7.) 27 Aug 2018 19:41:23
A difference of opinion is not trolling 🤣

Look at what he is doing at Leeds, magnificent, he's given those fans and that club the belief that they can once again be a juggernaut in the footballing world. Brilliant.

But

He would have absolutely no problem with resigning in March and just walking away no matter what happened to the team, his players or the fans and that's not a legend! For me anyway. He's just started there, if he does the job gets them up and actually starts delivering on his huge reputation then brilliant and he can start going down as this brilliant person but he could as easily just walk away and continue with the famous mad part of his personality.

{Ed001's Note - but that is not the point, nor what you said. Again pointless as you have no idea about his past but are judging him on it. A little bit of research would show you that he has delivered and that is why he has the huge reputation, unlike the nonsense you spouted about him only playing nice football.}

8.) 27 Aug 2018 20:08:21
Harry is back. Let the good times commence.

9.) 27 Aug 2018 20:27:28
Ed where going to differ on this till the cows come home and I'm going to end up banned 🤣

I'll agree he has done an awful lot and knows probably more than most but for me in my opinion he's not legendary material.

That old saying of talk the talk but can't walk the walk comes to mind.

{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't ban you, I would just not bother replying or reading them. Try reading up on what he did for Chile and how he is the one that transformed the likes of Medel and Alexis Sanchez and you might learn something about a world class coach does with meagre resources.}

10.) 27 Aug 2018 20:47:23
Sorry ed, I really do appreciate bielsa and he is a stupidly good coach, we have stleast I know of poch, klopp and pep to thank to what he knows and probably countless others.

Also I'm pretty sure every single club on the planet have wanted him and it is literally his own fault he has never been given a shot at the top, simple down to his volatile nature. Everyone knows how good he is.

It's just that for me that's stops him going down as a legend the fact he could just up and turn his back on a club and it's fans at the drop of a hat.

You would argue that Owen isn't a club legend over what he did off the pitch even though what he did on the pitch was world class. A ballon dore winner non the less, trophies everything but as you rightly point out to people who use thag as reasoning for his status, he did a lot off the pitch that was disgusting.

11.) 27 Aug 2018 21:04:14
'The Philosophy of Football: In Shadows of Marcelo Bielsa '

Ed1/ Harry, have you read this? if not I highly recommend it. What a man, what a manager, in my opinion he is a legend.

{Ed001's Note - I haven't yet, will have to try and find a copy. Never knew of its existence before.}

12.) 27 Aug 2018 21:10:57
Fair play Salah. Everyone has there own opinion and standards. that's the beauty of the world. Glad to see you back my man.

13.) 27 Aug 2018 21:15:30
Ah Ed1 typical mate if I was home I'd of sent you a copy but I'm still stuck in here until tomorrow I think (bloody hope so) . Once I get back I'll send you a copy over mate.

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate, that is the one thing that I do miss about the UK, books are not easy to get here. Plenty of bookshops but they all tend to stock the same things, so you only get the bestsellers etc really, as they have to cater for a number of different languages. Even getting ebooks is difficult because they are not normally licensed for here.}

14.) 27 Aug 2018 21:16:45
Thank you very much Kloppsboss mate, I appreciate it and yes of course, each to their own :) .

15.) 27 Aug 2018 21:37:25
Typical that Ed mate, I was unaware of that. Like I said before though, if there's anything you want, just send me an email mate and I'll try my best to get them to you. All of mine are Ebooks but I must admit, I much prefer a normal book.

{Ed001's Note - I much prefer real books, with Amazon buying the main online shopping company out here, I am hoping it will become easier to get books in time. The problem with ebooks is that the best time to read is last thing at night to relax before sleep but an ebook doesn't work as well. Still it is nice to be able to carry them all around on phone and read them if you get caught out having to wait somewhere for a while.

Btw kloppsboss I get what you are saying, I am not objecting to your belief he is not a legend because he has left a few clubs. I was objecting to your assertion he had done nothing bar produce pretty football.}

16.) 27 Aug 2018 21:49:03
Sure Salah. I will buy it. Thanks for the tip mate. I am fan of him.

17.) 27 Aug 2018 22:21:02
Kloppsboss Its guys like you who i worry about, do you even watch football 😉.

18.) 27 Aug 2018 23:56:41
Don't buy it Harry, I'll send you a copy as soon as I'm home mate, give me an email.

{Ed0333's Note - Harry’s e mail address is www.iwanteverylastdropofkovacic@hotmail.com

19.) 27 Aug 2018 23:52:14
Yeah fair play ed, read my initial post and it does come across like I was belittling him as just a manager who just gets his teams playing good footy, in fact that's exactly what I said

I didn't mean it to sound so passive about him. He's a massive contributor and huge influencer of the modern game, pretty sure he's the sole or one of the authors on the current play book everyone is operating off.

I started reading about him when you wanted him after Brendan. Incredible but as I said for me legend and I will add world class are bandied about a lot and beilsa frustrates me so much because he has thrown away what could of been the defining coach of a generation for someone who is lauded but just never applied it or properly applied it to go down as a legend.

Sickening to think what he could of achieved if he wasn't as mad as he is.

{Ed001's Note - he has stood by his principles, I do not see that as a bad thing.}
