With Liverpool getting Lallana and Lonergan signed to short term deals, does anyone know if there is going to be a similar deal for Clyne? Or is he likely to just be released at the end of the month?
1.) 10 Jun 2020 19:50:31
Think I read he won't get one but he may train with the squad to increase his chances of getting another club.
2.) 10 Jun 2020 21:08:19
What would be the point? Has he played for us in the last 2 years?
3.) 11 Jun 2020 10:19:47
What has happened with Clyne? All seems rather odd. There were rumours of drug use etc. Any insight eds?
{Ed001's Note - apart from not being very good and lacking in any kind of football intelligence you mean? His lifestyle is the kind of one that Ronaldinho would say was a bit too wild. If he perhaps stopped partying he would have a career.}
4.) 11 Jun 2020 10:42:06
No, no deal extension for Clyne, in fact he's currently training apart from the squad.
5.) 11 Jun 2020 12:46:50
Ye like Ed1 said he's a notorious party boy loves the lifestyle more than the game itself.
{Ed001's Note - he is as committed to partying as Cristiano Ronaldo is to training.}

Clyne has money than sense. Mind you if he had a fiver he’d have more money than sense.

Seen him in the post office by ours in Formby the other day. He looks physically fit. Most of the time I see him with his mates messing around. Couldn’t really comment on his private life.

I have never been a fan of the idea of a European super league, but with Fifa announcing that players within the league would not be allowed to play in any Fifa competition. I sort of like the idea that players would no longer have to go and play pointless international games!
1.) 21 Jan 2021 16:52:00
I think that Ed002 has already suggested that their stance would change over time.
{Ed002's Note - Actually what I said and have been explaining for years is exactly what FIFA have announced.}
2.) 21 Jan 2021 17:02:54
I would hardly call the World Cup pointless international games.
3.) 21 Jan 2021 17:09:33
The world cup is 4 week snore fest that lines Fifa's pockets.
4.) 21 Jan 2021 18:15:43
The world cup is the only half decent international football there is. the rest is utter tripe. Football is on a downward spiral for me. Love of the game is dwindling with every VAR decision.
5.) 21 Jan 2021 18:17:49
Apologies, I must be getting old Ed002. I can't think for one second that Fifa would maintain their stance. Imagine a World Cup without the best players in it?
{Ed002's Note - They would not be eligible as they would not be registered under FIFA.}
6.) 21 Jan 2021 19:39:24
4) FIFA would ban all players from the breakaway teams from International football - perhaps rescinding that position to stop FIFA breaking up as well.
This is from your good self in Feb 18. Has this changed since then? Cheers.
{Ed002's Note - They have only announced it today - so nothing has changed.}

This is the team I came up with, it was really difficult trying to find players that have never played at the same club, as so many spent a year or so at the same club during the twilight of their careers.
Cech (State Rennais, Chelsea, Arsenal | Czechia)
G Neville (Man U | England)
Van Dyke (Groningen, Celtic, Southampton, Liverpool | Netherlands)
Paolo Montero (Peñarol, Atalanta, Juventus, San Lorenzo | Uruguay)
Maldini (A. C. Milan | Italy)
Modric (Dinamo Zagreb, Tottenham Hotspur, Â Real Madrid | Croatia)
Dunga (Internacional, Corinthians, Santos, Vasco da Gama, Pisa, Fiorentina, Pescara, Stuttgart, Júbilo Iwata | Brazil)
David Silva (Valencia, Manchester City | Spain)
Messi ( Barcelona | Argentina)
Lewandowski (Znicz Pruszkow, Lech Poznan, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich | Poland)
Mbappé (Monaco, PSG | France)
