Have we shown any interest in Tammy Abraham, Ed's? Cheers lads!

{Ed002's Note - No.}

1.) 14 May 2021 16:48:28
He would be a good player for us.

2.) 14 May 2021 19:49:41
This is at least the 5th or 6th time I've seen Tammy Abraham suggested on here lately, and it seems to be coming out of nowhere.

Is his agent getting desperate to stir up some interest and is creating accounts on fan forums or something?

{Ed0666's Note - you haven’t seen Tammy’s new ‘you’ll never walk alone’ tatoo on his leg?

3.) 14 May 2021 20:59:02
I’m pretty certain we signed another young English striker from Chelsea a few years back called Sturridge. He did quite well for us….

4.) 14 May 2021 22:37:53
Haha no SR, just rate the player and reckon he could be a good fit.

5.) 15 May 2021 13:50:28
I asked a while ago as food for thought as he doesn't seem in tuchels plans but seems to know were the next is and offers something different.

6.) 15 May 2021 14:00:41
I'd love to see us add both Tammy Abraham and Dele Alli if we had some players leave this summer. Before any of you ridicule me, I know I'm in the minority on this one.

7.) 15 May 2021 18:43:14
Dele Alli? I think I'm going to ridicule you anyway mate.

Go watch the clip of Mourinho telling him (very nicely) he'll regret not getting his act together when he was manager. And then count how many games Alli got his act together for. I think it was about 5.

All the skill in the world is no good if you can't be bothered applying it. Just ask Naby.

8.) 16 May 2021 03:52:12
The player we bought from Chelsea set the stadiums on fire for 2 years (because he also had Suarez and Sterling along) and then spent 3 years in the physio rooms and on loan. Hardly a shining example of a great buy. But I remember and applaud the contribution for 2 years.

Hi Ed's, what's the current interest in Baby? (If any? ) Cheers 👍.

{Ed002's Note - Bobby or Nobby? Or is it the instruction you neeed again. When a man bunny rabbit and a lady bunny rabbit love each other very much ....}

1.) 24 May 2021 14:35:19
My sources tell me there’s interest from Johnny Castle.

2.) 24 May 2021 15:10:29
Class ed002 made me chuckle.

3.) 24 May 2021 15:31:46
If we do sign baby, i hope we keep her off set pieces. Nobody puts baby in the corner.

4.) 24 May 2021 15:31:51
Love your humour ed002, let's see more of it, you can be a really funny guy. Thanks for another season of insights, classic put downs and posts of the day.

5.) 24 May 2021 16:57:48
Loving MK Scouser’s response.

6.) 24 May 2021 18:21:56
Class MK.

7.) 24 May 2021 21:08:21
Baby as in, the rapper?

8.) 25 May 2021 22:43:54
Oh s**t! I've only just seen what I wrote ed002! :D
I meant Naby, are there any updates? Love the responses though. Gave me a good chuckle!

{Ed002's Note - Keita is being offered around - the club are happy to let him go. Spain may be an option but in some countries he would struggle to get a Work Permit because of his conviction.}

20 May 2021 09:34:57
With the new season kit being previewed I thought it'd be a bit of fun to find out which kits you rated the highest, the lowest and how the new kit fairs for you?!

1.) 20 May 2021 10:21:55
My favourite kit was the gold and black, think it was the 3rd kit we wore once.

My least favourite was the yellow and blue one as it had blue in it lol.

2.) 20 May 2021 10:40:43
The new kit is ok last years away was atrocious!
Nike have let us done I think!

3.) 20 May 2021 10:55:04
Early 80s (82-84 ish), Red with white pin stripe, Crown Paints sponsorship. I think that will always be my favourite.

Funny now to think that companies like Crown Paints were the shirt sponsors for the biggest club in the land.

4.) 20 May 2021 10:53:06
I don’t see the point in buying the new kits, much prefer the retro ones from the eighties. I’m still rocking the adidas reissue of the 1986 long sleeve shirt with number 7 on the back,

5.) 20 May 2021 10:55:04

{Ed025's Note - i didnt know crown paints sponsored everton RR..

6.) 20 May 2021 11:12:22
Favourites were before my time but the Adidas Equipment mid 90’s stuff and the 1990 silver flecked Candy kit. Also the 2017-18 home shirt was a thing of beauty.

Worst offenders have to be the final 2 Adidas away kits, the white and blue was horrific, then the 2012-13 third kit with all the horrible tribal patterns and mad greys and whites on it. Worst of all though were both warrior kits used in the 2014-15 season. As soon as i saw them i knew we were going to be in for a tough year! One look at them brings back memories of the pure arrogance and messing around of Brendan from day one of the season, honestly possibly the worst managing performance i’ve ever seen in football.

7.) 20 May 2021 11:55:20
Ahh look, ed025 is back. 👍🏼.

8.) 20 May 2021 12:57:18
Whats wrong with a red kit? Red, just red.

9.) 20 May 2021 13:40:49
Ed025 Nice to see you back hope your ok. Not sure how far down the league you can finish to get in Europe if Utd win the cup or Chelsea and Leicester finish top 4 if Everton can qualify.

10.) 20 May 2021 13:49:58
Ed025 is back! Just made my day. Good to see you Ed, you okay?

18 Sep 2020 12:57:38
Good press conference from Mr Klopp. With a watch redmen!

1.) 18 Sep 2020 15:41:09
Loved it, OP. Esp. the part where he addresses the fake, made-up "rivalry" btw him and Lampard. Killed that stuff dead.

19 Mar 2020 11:39:01
Bit of fun lads amidst the storm.
You're locked in quarantine for 14 days with one LFC player past or present. which player would you choose and why?

1.) 19 Mar 2020 11:59:06
Sorry none. If I am in quarantine with any Liverpool player, it means that he might be affected too. Wouldn't want to wish that luck to any Liverpool player.

Apologies, I understand the intention of your question, no offence to you.

2.) 19 Mar 2020 12:29:27
Wow bet you're fun at parties Chaki. Fowler all day.

3.) 19 Mar 2020 12:30:49
Wow you’re a barrel of laughs.

4.) 19 Mar 2020 12:32:35
Alisson. In case I get critical, he can baptise me. Does sporty spice count?

5.) 19 Mar 2020 12:48:00
Kirsty Linnett? I'm sure we could think of something to pass the time.

6.) 19 Mar 2020 13:12:18
No player too hot, the wife would be a little too happy having a few weeks to charm them. In fairness, they’re pool players so my thoughts on the matter would be irrelevant. Great question mate.

7.) 19 Mar 2020 13:38:31
Grobbelaar - he's got a few stories to tell to pass the time.

8.) 19 Mar 2020 16:06:04
Peter Crouch and he can bring his wife too 😘.

9.) 19 Mar 2020 16:59:48
Mane,

More chance of borrowing a couple of quid off him, he seems like a genuinely kind and generous guy. and I'm skint.

10.) 19 Mar 2020 17:07:46
Kirsty Ann Linnett.

11.) 19 Mar 2020 18:01:58
As Kirsty Linnett is taken, I'll go with Ashley Hodson.

12.) 19 Mar 2020 18:09:10
Brilliant responses! It's got to be Fowler hasn't it. he owns so many houses you could dip into for some loo roll!

13.) 19 Mar 2020 18:18:06
Anyone but the bore that is Owen. What a dull man.

14.) 19 Mar 2020 21:02:58
Bit of a dead horse int he!

15.) 20 Mar 2020 02:24:31
Got to be king Kenny for me. After reading his book, he comes across as witty and has endless stories from times when the football world had much more characters who were able to behave like normal folk.

16.) 20 Mar 2020 15:20:28
Present - Milner cause he seems a genuinely nice guy and must have some great stories

Past - Crouch or grobs would be a laugh but I’d also have to go with King Kenny.

17.) 21 Mar 2020 06:42:36
Mark Lawrenson. I've always thought his dry humour and wit goes unnoticed.

08 Aug 2019 12:25:03
Arsenal transfers are starting to look a bit scary in my opinion. Not sure if anyone agrees but there team is starting to remind me of ours a few years ago under Rogers. With no real defence, I wonder if they will play a game of score more goals than you concede. Who knows what will happen before it does, but this upcoming season could be really exciting. Looking dry as expected on the Liverpool front but we have such a well connected team and no significant leavers. Also, super glad Wilson has agreed a loan and not a permanent deal to Bournemouth. Eddie Howe is such a great English manager; I hope he manages to grow Wilson and can see him returning to us in 12 months for the better.
Have a good day lads and ladies!

{Ed025's Note - you too mate..

1.) 08 Aug 2019 12:44:42
You have a leaking wobbly defence, the one player, THE ONE PLAYER, you’d don't look to is David Luiz!

2.) 08 Aug 2019 12:48:38
I think Tottenham will close the gap if Loris can put together a good season.

The others for me have improved but not enough to challenge.

3.) 08 Aug 2019 12:51:19
Not worried about the Gooners just yet; if Luiz is their ideas of strengthening the defence then good luck with that.

Eddie Howe is no where near being a top coach level in my opinion but at least Wilson should get some game time.

For us it’s down to keeping clear of bad injuries. If we can do that we will be happy bunnies.

4.) 08 Aug 2019 12:53:31
I'll start to take Arsenal seriously when they sort that defence out. Until then it's same old.

5.) 08 Aug 2019 13:06:45
Spurs to win the league imo, there form at the end of last season was frightening.

6.) 08 Aug 2019 13:15:15
Except in the final lerchy, lol.

{Ed025's Note - they were both a disgrace in that one tim, most boring final in the history of football mate..

7.) 08 Aug 2019 13:46:20
Yea but we won that's what matters, yea not good game to watch but every supporter won't care if thrre team won it lol, but spurs form was crap at the end not frightning, just manage 4th after being well ahead in 3rd spot.

8.) 08 Aug 2019 14:48:27
If all these team have strengthened like everyone is worried about then they will take more points off city. Winner winner chicken dinner 🤷🏼‍♂️.

9.) 08 Aug 2019 13:50:12
I’ll take a boring Champions League final win every year Ed! We had enough fireworks in the Semi to prove ourselves worthy.

{Ed025's Note - but this was the showcase of european football SG, and in particular the premier league....but it was like watching a non league game mate..

10.) 08 Aug 2019 13:58:23
Yeh but we've also won the most exciting final in football history so who cares same result.

{Ed025's Note - i dont do ancient history LFC8.. :)

11.) 08 Aug 2019 14:30:45
Ed025 obviously never saw the 1991 European Cup Final then.

{Ed025's Note - i did actually johnny and very entertaining it was...so what happened in the last one?..

12.) 08 Aug 2019 14:35:59
Wow

you win the champions league final and get labelled a disgrace by a bitter blue nose on a Liverpool forum.

What is the world coming too?

{Ed025's Note - im not bitter KR, just a football fan who wants to be entertained...that was like having a tooth out mate..

13.) 08 Aug 2019 15:34:03
I don't know Ed, 1974 world cup final was a bore as well.

{Ed025's Note - its up there stone..but the monotony in madrid still takes the biscuit mate..

14.) 08 Aug 2019 16:09:47
Evertons 2005 Champions League Qualification Campaign has to be up there.

All the bitters I know still go on and on and on about Drunken Disorderlys disallowed goal.

Now that is boring for you.

{Ed025's Note - but that was a decent game KR, put the spade down mate.. :)

15.) 08 Aug 2019 16:32:56
Arsenal's front 3 will be really good. They've added some good young talent. If Luiz and Rugani both get across the line, they will be better. I think they will be in the hunt for top 4 this year and challenging even higher next season or the season after that. It does remind me of how the current Liverpool team was built, adding the pieces you want.

I really like what Emery is doing on paper. We'll see if he gets the results.

16.) 08 Aug 2019 16:29:53
I agree ED25, I was thoroughly entertained.

{Ed025's Note - you just like the fact we got robbed KR....bitter red?..

17.) 08 Aug 2019 17:25:43
Bitter? - Nah mate ill leave that to the blue half of the city they are experts at it now and I don't want to play catch up.

{Ed025's Note - there are bitters on both sides KR..

18.) 08 Aug 2019 18:41:56
Lerchy in what respect was Spurs form frightening towards the end of last season? They were within 3 points of us in February but ended up 25 points behind. Their form was shocking towards the end of last season.
Spurs are miles away from winning the league. Miles away.

19.) 08 Aug 2019 19:24:07
So were Leicester - just before they won it.

Let’s not make too many assumptions before the season starts!

20.) 08 Aug 2019 19:02:23
Why would we be bitter about the Bitters, Ed25? Any LFC fan who is bitter about a bitter, in not and never will be a real LFC fan, end of. Also regarding your comment that both teams (Spurs and LFC) were a disgrace in the CL final, only a bitter would say something that asanine.

It is not the job of either team to entertain those who don't care about them. The goal of a final is to win, period. When Ramos took out Salah and Karius in Kiev, we heard from every other fan or pundit that Ramos was some warrior who did what was necessary to help his team win and was hailed for that. Were you whining about how disgraceful he was then? If you said nothing then pls, say nothing now. Klopp himself said that the only diff. btw Kiev and Madrid was that we won. If you want to see us entertain the gallery, you can watch a mashup of LFC's gong=ho footie on youtube that won us NOTHING until now. When Neverton get to a final, they can entertain you then. That is not LFC's job, period.

Also, if a Spurs fan on Youtube can admit that LFC deserved to win the final cos well, they made things difficult for his team and credit to us, I could not be arsed about what some other fan from some other team (esp. form NEVERTON of all clubs) has to say about us.

{Ed025's Note - i imagine that the spurs fan was just as embarrassed as you lot were redwolf because they were part of that debacle, in the end its what you expect from your team i suppose, for me its an entertainment industry and as such i want to see things that i can applaud and gets me off my seat, maybe your a win at all costs kind of guy and dont care if the means to that end results in something akin to someone poking needles in your eyes mate...i honestly dont know..

21.) 08 Aug 2019 21:24:20
Ed25, You are gravely mistaken. I actually played football at a decent level and always loved free-flowing football. Unlike you tho, I don't mind a chess match where two teams with contrasting styles go at it esp. when games change due to a goal. Also, I am not a win at all costs guy cos as a former athlete (ran track and played basketball), I know winning is not everything in life.

For years, the "experts" lectured LFC and Klopp as to how we should be pragmatic and not go hell-for-leather all the time during games cos doing that has won us nothing. Then, Klopp actually listens to that advice and those same people are still complaining that Klopp should have gone for it more. Again, I'm over it. Klopp has learnt and we now have 6. Read it and weep.
N btw, the Spurs fan (who had a dog in the fight) showed a lot more grace than you are right now BUT I can understand that due to the rivalry (which is that much a rivalry if you haven't beaten your rivals in near a decade in all comps. )

I will say again, entertaining people who don't care about us as a club, is not our job. That is your club's job when that opportunity comes to play a final. So When your lot make it to the CL final (in whatever millenium that happens), you can write them an open letter, demanding that the team entertains the Neverton fans. Until then, we at LFC, will do what it takes tactically and legally, to win any finals we play going forward cos Klopp has learnt his lesson after losing a bunch of finals trying to what was that word again? Ah yes, "entertain". Peace.

{Ed025's Note - i can see your point about a chess game redwolf, 2 teams going at it hammer and tongs where the skill of the defence may be able to stifle the guile of the attacking team, i have seen some very good 0-0 games in my time i can tell you..... but alas this was not one of those times, this was about 22 supposedly talented footballers, the cream of europe, the epitome of the best league in the world...and they made a holy show of themselves, im talking not being able to control a ball or make a 5 yard pass, im talking slow laborious build up resulting in nothing, poor crossing, a plethora of offsides, and negative tactics from both sides, you obviously seen something different so i suggest the tv companies issue all the public with red tinted glasses the next time liverpool play in a final...just like the ones you wear..

Agreed. Traore still looks like a rough diamond and needs work. Nuno is a great coach IMO and it worries me that Traore still isn't looking polished. For me, he still needs a few more years, understanding the best position for his attributes and I don't fancy that dice roll at LFC. Especially if he's seen as a replacement for a 20+ goalscorer.

Chelsea could be fire next season. they have nearly all the aces in their hands now. If Timo and Haverts improve their game, they'll be stiff competition for an older Liverpool side and a newer city team. On another note, £5 on Ole getting chucked after 15 games next season. Replaced by Julie Nagelsmann for an additional £5 👇.

{Ed001's Note - why would Nagelsmann leave Bayern, the job he has always wanted? You may as well just send me that fiver as you aren't winning that bet.}

Easy to comment on Div's being below the level of quality at the club but quality wouldn't sit patiently on the bench for as long as he has IMO. Fairly, his biggest footballing achievement was probably described in a few banners. I think it's time to bring in the young hunger to replace him, that don't break the bank but want to make a difference in their 15 minutes of game time.
