They know say on Sky that we are looking at other targets, one of them being Chadli from Spurs.

In an interview in France, Andre Ayew from Olympique Marseille was asked about his future. He said that the EPL is the most watched football league in his home country of Ghana and that he wants to play there one day. And when asked about Liverpool, he replied: "Liverpool? I watch them since I am a kid". I don't know if we are interested in him but he's 23 and wants a move. I don't know him at all so I don't know if he would be a good signing. Your thoughts anyone? {Ed002's Note - There is a very good chance Andre Ayew will leave Marseille in the summer and the club accept this. Inter Milan, Arsenal and Dynamo Kyiv have already declared an interest in the player. Marseille has already lined up his replacement.}

Hi everyone, I would love to get some advice from you guys. I live in Quebec, Canada, and my dream is to go to Anfield to attend a game. I thought about going to Liverpool anytime between January and May 2016, I don't really care which game to attend, just a home game in that period. I have found everything I need to know about the flight and the accommodation (would cost around 1000 pounds for both), the only problem is getting tickets for a game. I looked on the official LFC website, and if you pay for a membership, it seems you have an advantage in obtaining tickets. For non-members, tickets are put on sale 6 weeks before the fixture. So, is it worth paying for a membership to get a ticket or is it possible to get a ticket in the 6 weeks before a fixture and still be able to book a flight and a room in time? Would really love to get some advice on this!
Have a good one

The Member option would be my route, mate. If the team is doing well you'll never get the non-member sale. Looking at the time you want to come. You might be looking at a lot of Monday nights if you pick a big game. The last home game of the season,vs Watford would be my choice, as it Will be rocking if we're playing for something. The players do the lap at the end with their children, so the occasion will last longer. Anyway good luck. Come on you Reds.

Hi

I am from South Africa. I buy tickets from Thomas Cook. They specifically cater for international visitors wanting tickets for BPL games

Hope this helps

3.) 06 Aug 2015 10:05:16
members still struggle to get tickets, your best bet is going for a hospitality package, that way at least you know you have guaranteed tickets in advance.

4.) 06 Aug 2015 10:30:35
Don't quote me on this as I may be wrong, my dad sorts our tickets with our memberships so I'm not completely up to date. I think they work on a points kind of basis, so you gain 'points' from the tickets purchased from the previous season. Different games require different amounts of 'points' i.e United and Everton would be top bracket games so you'd need more points to apply for tickets for them. So I'm not sure if a membership would benefit you just for one game. Like I say I might be completely wrong, so you'd be best checking with the club.

I also have no idea how easy it would be to get tickets through general admission 6 weeks before as we use our memberships.

Failing these you could look at tickets through tour operators such as Thomas Cook, although you'll end up paying more.

Hope this helps! Good luck.

5.) 06 Aug 2015 10:45:35
Hospitality tickets probably your best bet. Pricey but if you're prepared to pay flights etc anyway .

6.) 06 Aug 2015 10:59:44
Unless you can get tickets for a cup game, it will be very difficult to get general sale, hardly ever happens. Hospitality is your best bet, though the Thomas Cook option sounds like it could be worth a shot

7.) 06 Aug 2015 14:13:04
Buying a ticket face value is near impossible. Thomas cook is hugely over priced.
If you go on the lfc ticketing site and search for hospitality, you can buy the lower end hospitality tickets that include a match ticket and lunch or something for ~ 80 for cat c games.

Is the game on the 2nd of August vs Swindon behind closed doors or is it just not broadcasted?

I just saw some article about Rodgers behind interested in Jovetic for 15-16M£. Now that I saw that, I think that he would be a better choice then Benteke. He's quite young (25 I think), he showed his quality, mostly in Fiorentina, but also at City. I remember he had a run of games where he played really well, can't recall if it was at the start of last season or the one before. Anyway, I think he would fit Liverpool better, he's a pretty passer, very agile for his stature and also has decent speed. What do you guys think?

Always injured.

Sturridge & Jovetic?

2.) 07 Jul 2015 09:49:05
He would be my preference to Benteke albeit another with a dodgy injury record .
But whoever sign's will get my full support.

I think if you used the search function you would find that this has been discussed loads.

His quality has not been questioned but we have not shown any interest and the player has not settled in England. Injuries would be another thing on top of that but him not settling in England would be the biggest worry.

4.) 07 Jul 2015 09:54:25
Him and sturridge will form a great partnershi.at the clubs medical facility

5.) 07 Jul 2015 10:25:22
As ed said the guy wants out of England

6.) 07 Jul 2015 10:29:26
And we'd still have Balotelli who'll be out on loan.

That would be a great use of resources having 50-60m worth of strikers on a combined 400k per week not on the pitch for us.

7.) 07 Jul 2015 10:36:18
Way back when he was at fiorentina the medical staff identified a chronic knee problem not too dissimilar to owen Hargreaves which will keep him in the treatment room a lot and likely contribute to an early retirement.

Seems the staff were right (though not all of his issues are his knee) and so he would be a big gamble.

8.) 07 Jul 2015 11:28:06
Benteke's goal record is far better than jovetic. He also wants to play in England and jovetic doesn't. He has also expressed an interest to play for us and jovetic hasn't. His injury record is good and jovetic's is not. And finally, the club have shown an interest in signing him and they have not for jovetic.

So I'd go with Benteke

Just wanted to know your opinions on the Benteke rumours. A lot of people here are saying "we should spend our money somewhere else", but is there really a better choice then him? Clearly, we need to invest in a center forward and if you think about it there isn't much choice. Bacca is off to Milan, we just won't get Lacazette cause he wants CL footy and Higuain is way too overpriced (he would be my choice). So now, there's only Benteke left and even if they ask massive money for him, I think they'll find an agreement, or else there isn't much choice on the market for a quality center forward.

I think I'd prefer to give youth a go until January then assess where we are at then. If we need a striker, then we can go for one and if Benteke is available and playing well then, I think then and only then we should go for him

2.) 01 Jul 2015 21:44:46
We'll be well off the pace mate if you're pinning your faith on Ings (massive step up) and Origi (new to club and league and an even bigger step up). And how shafting Sinclairs confidence by putting pressure on him to contribute is helping his development I don't know.

3.) 01 Jul 2015 21:45:28
Not mitrovic no.

4.) 01 Jul 2015 22:07:59
Same thing I said the other day, would rather have Walcott. Can play central or with Sturridge and fits us much better I would think. Likely cheaper as well. Not perfect, but would rather him than Benteke.

5.) 01 Jul 2015 23:11:15
I think he's rubbish. His attitude stinks.
He's just like Mario. Why sign him when we already have a player exactly like him.

He doesn't make many runs unless there's a cross on the way. Never seen him tracking back for the ball.

Money for old rope.

6.) 01 Jul 2015 23:25:42
Without pulling a list of players there are a lot more than 4 quality strikers available this summer. Agree with boom regarding origi, Ings and especially Sinclair. Although I think Benteke would be a good option. He plays in a villa side who under Lambert did not know how to play ball yet he still shone through. With the supply I'm offer this year If he comes in will help him no end.

7.) 02 Jul 2015 07:46:10
I think, if there was even a remote possibility, that a lot of fans would be happy with Lacazette. Sadly no CL and our finances render it virtually impossible. Aubameyang has been mentioned by a few on here - I personally haven't seen enough of him to know, but he is lightening quick which already makes him sound a better fit than Benteke.

I know it adds pressure on Sinclair, but we need to start learning lessons from our previous mistakes. If the right player isn't out there we should not be panic buying or buying for the sake of it. Balotelli and Carroll didn't exactly work well - if we cannot get the right target then better to get nobody than squander the money on a player who will not fit into our style of play. Would also say that Sinclair needs some game time so it can be seen whether or not he can make the step up - he can't play reserve footy forever, he needs a real test on a regular basis.

Lucas wrote on his twitter that his injury isn't that bad and that he'll only be out for a few weeks. Good news!

We'll see if Ward can overtake Migs place as 1st GK, I really hope so. But if he doesn't show his class and Klopp gets a new GK in, I think Ward will leave. I don't think he would accept to be second choice.

Higuain and Lacazette won't come to us, we CAN'T stick with what we've got because we need a new quality center forward and there are no real options other than Benteke

Depay is better I think, he has everything to succeed. Firmino also has a lot a quality, of course, but he lacks the physical aspect and the power of Depay

I'm honestly scared of Depay, scared of him being succesful at MU. He seems like a freaking beast, I was shocked when I saw him play for the Netherlands at the World Cup, he was amazing. Some say he's the next Robben, but some guy said he's the next Ronaldo, and I agree. His style of play is way more physical then Robben, really similar to Ronaldo. I just don't want him to achieve his potential at MU, let him go to Real so he spares us!
