I heard that we are watching Jobe Bellingham very closely. He has improved drastically this season at Sunderland, would be interesting to see. Only 19, can score, can pass, is very strong in the tackle to say the least. one to keep an eye on.

KurtStiener69

1.) 01 Mar 2025 21:18:29
He would be a biblical signing.

2.) 01 Mar 2025 23:29:31
Is ‘watching …. very closely’ the next step after monitoring?

3.) 02 Mar 2025 06:57:11
I've never seen him play, but didn't ed001 say he was the opposite of his brother in terms of athleticism and mobility? In that case he doesn't look like a Liverpool midfielder.

4.) 02 Mar 2025 09:07:15
Then watch him play, he has improved his physicality a lot this season, never stops running so I don't know if ed means he is slow but so is Jude. They seem slow but are deseptively quick. In my opinion Jobe is going to the top just like his brother. If we don't get him he'll go to someone like Spurs or Villa and get Sold for a 100 million to City 2 years later.

{Ed001's Note - it was his acceleration I was talking about and Jude is not slow at all. Physically, I said he was big and strong, but he just had no burst of pace. Technically and tactically, he has come on in leaps and bounds this season.}

5.) 02 Mar 2025 10:37:09
Thank you for your insight ed001. I have been on here for 15-16 years for your player judgment and football knowledge so I really appreciate it. ?.

{Ed001's Note - thank you very much. I am blushing now!}

6.) 02 Mar 2025 11:10:42
Any truth to us being in for him Ed?

{Ed001's Note - no idea mate. His dad would still like both of them to play for us though.}

7.) 02 Mar 2025 11:45:18
The rumours i got are from an old friend who is a Sunderland season ticket holder who is adamant that he is brilliant and that he will join Liverpool if Sunderland don't get PL football. so to be taken with a pinch of salt i guess.

8.) 02 Mar 2025 11:46:16
There father an lfc supporter ed1? That why he wants them to play for us?

{Ed001's Note - I am not sure mate, I thought he was a fan of Klopp and just thought Klopp could get the best out of them, but now I am not so sure.}

9.) 02 Mar 2025 11:52:14
He’s very patient on the ball.

10.) 02 Mar 2025 11:56:54
Love this story about the Bellingham brothers.

Their parents each lives with one of them.

The mother gets to live in the beautiful and sunny Madrid.
The father gets to live in Sunderland.

Can see who drew the short straw.

11.) 02 Mar 2025 15:35:02
Thats interesting Ed. Didn't know that their dad want both to play for us. I thought I read somewhere that it was his dad that wanted Jude to play for Madrid because they pay him more money compared to other club. And it was his mom who wanted Jude to play for us.

{Ed001's Note - it was the dad that tried to get him to us. He kept trying to convince Klopp to sign him. Money has never been the motivation for his dad.}

12.) 02 Mar 2025 20:45:04
Mfahmee2 you might be thinking of Ødegaard who was VERY close to signing for us back in the day. There's pictures of him in training and talking with Rodgers. He was even in the team photo for the Christmas party. But then his tool of a dad got involved and told him to go to Madrid because they were offering more money and him a coaching role. A shame because he was apparently a childhood Liverpool fan.

09 Feb 2025 17:45:52
Someone mentioned he thinks Chiesa is Salah's replacement!

All i have to say is Chiesa will be on the 1st plane to Italy in the summer, i promise you this.

Salah replacement, you are having a laugh mate.

KurtStiener69

1.) 09 Feb 2025 17:58:41
In astronomical terms, the start of summer can be defined very precisely: it begins on the summer solstice, which occurs on June 20 or 21 in the Northern Hemisphere and on December 21 or 22 in the Southern Hemisphere

Transfer window opens on June 12th. So it actually could be before then.

2.) 09 Feb 2025 18:19:17
Nobody with a braincell saw chiesa as a replacement, he’s a rotational option and a good one for the price paid.

3.) 09 Feb 2025 18:33:26
He was cheap for a reason, we thought that reason was his poor injury record, but it turns out he's just not very good.

4.) 09 Feb 2025 19:22:46
Give his time there’s a much better player in there.

5.) 09 Feb 2025 19:26:58
The Italian pizza maker is no where near a salah replacement but it doesn’t surprise me with these owners it’s all about bargain basement signings recently with them.

6.) 09 Feb 2025 20:22:50
I was at work, did Liverpool lose again?

7.) 09 Feb 2025 21:13:16
Chiesa was poor today but no worse than Diaz or Jota. In fact he probably managed to get more involved than both of them despite there being zero service to our front players. The team lost today, not just Chiesa.

8.) 09 Feb 2025 21:18:13
Give the lad a chance!

9.) 09 Feb 2025 22:10:25
Chiesa was awful today. Looked so unfit, his head was trying things his legs couldn’t do. As for the excuse for Diaz, Jota, Elliot and Nunez… no words but clear that Elliot will not make it as a regular starter and should be sold imo. Given the number 10 position for much of the game and was woeful.

10.) 09 Feb 2025 22:21:37
One game Brummy. Give it a wobble.

11.) 09 Feb 2025 22:51:42
Chiesa has only played a few games the man needs games my god you call yourselves Liverpool fans what happened to YNWA you lot are playing to much football manager on your pc footballers are not something you switch on and off they are humans. Yes we lost today the coach made a decision to rest players for up and coming matches more important than fa cup and people moan probably lot of you never played football support the man in the shirt do not support just the shirt.

12.) 10 Feb 2025 00:15:42
Personally, I think any player who has a bad game should be shot and their families publicly humiliated, for as long as they live.

Imagine if everybody in the country who had a bad day at work was sacked. There wouldn’t be many left working.

13.) 10 Feb 2025 00:25:06
What has Chiesa's nationality got to do with it?

14.) 10 Feb 2025 06:06:28
They were on the wrong side in the ‘last show’ @Rigsby ….

15.) 10 Feb 2025 08:57:13
Not bashing anyone, could be decent back up but replace Salah? I just don't see it. Not sure what's wrong with this view. Same goes for Elliot, I just don't see him fitting into this team but i am not a manager or coach so what do i know.

03 Feb 2025 13:07:38
Kaide Gordon off to Portsmouth on loan for the rest of the season.

Jayden Danns off to Sunderland on loan for the rest of the season.

Best of luck to both ?.

KurtStiener69

1.) 03 Feb 2025 13:42:31
Probably best for both, Kaide doesn’t look like he’ll make it with us after injury came at the wrong time, hopefully Danns is still in with a shout when he comes back he looks like a good finisher.

2.) 03 Feb 2025 14:29:20
Shows how important that bit of luck is in making it. Gordon was starting a semi final at the emirates not long ago and got hurt at the wrong time. Hopefully he can play regularly and do well.

3.) 03 Feb 2025 17:04:17
Good luck to them both, a good move I think.

4.) 03 Feb 2025 18:02:26
Danns will be Arne's new "Divock Origi"!

"DANNS the MAN"

5.) 03 Feb 2025 19:03:54
Morton may have a permanent £10m move away to Sunderland, again sounds like the best outcome if he can secure that before the deadline.

6.) 03 Feb 2025 19:58:01
It’s Middlesborough in for Morton, not Sunderland. Not sure who’d be the best bet for him, but good luck either way.

7.) 03 Feb 2025 20:14:57
Just read an article that alleged that West Ham are pushing a move for Tyler Morton. Could be nothing but it is a rumour. Think it'll be a really good move for the lad if it has any truth.

8.) 03 Feb 2025 20:40:52
Looks like we turned down the 10 million plus with add ons from Boro. Could be how the add ons are set up. Could still happen and would be good move for him. Could very well be in e prem with them next season.

9.) 03 Feb 2025 21:54:22
Doue PSG a late rumour, maybe another summer option rather than today.

10 Apr 2025 19:01:22
I for one am very happy that Salah and van Dijk seem to be staying. Yes both have had some sus games lately but its to be expected playing every single minute of every PL and CL game apart from one. Hopefully Slot rotates them more next season so we see the best of them over the full season.

KurtStiener69

1.) 10 Apr 2025 20:04:32
Hopefully someone on here more educated in contracts can shut my theory down here.

Let’s say Salah and Virg both expressed a desire to stay at Liverpool last season or whatever.

So the club, and the players, agreed to run the contracts down until they ran out. And then re-sign for Liverpool, both taking a nice juicy Signing on Fee.

They then take a lower wage each week. So when the club brings in new players. It can point at the best player (Salah) and the captain (Virg) are on a modest wage therefore protecting the wage bill ??

But the players haven’t lost any money because of the signing on fee. If you get me ???‍♂️.

{Ed001's Note - not a chance that is what has happened.}

2.) 10 Apr 2025 20:19:14
I agree ed001 ? I’m just finding it extremely painful to believe we’ve let 3 world class players run their contract down at a club the size of Liverpool.
It’s genuinely staggering mate.

{Ed001's Note - to be fair, two of them were never going to be done early due to their age. It is only really Trent that should have been sorted over a year ago.}

3.) 10 Apr 2025 20:33:23
I still think Trent stays.

4.) 11 Apr 2025 03:06:55
Players getting to the end of their contract happens all over the world all the time. Other big clubs too.

09 Apr 2025 21:54:55
Ed001, i already told you how much i value your football knowledge, and after watching PSG being out of this world good again tonight, i got to take my hat off for you again! You had top a 10 managers article and you had Luis Henrique way up there, and now i know why. You should have worked in football.

KurtStiener69

{Ed001's Note - thank you Kurt, it is nice to see him getting back on track after the heartbreak he suffered. He deserves some luck after losing a young daughter. I can only imagine the pain he and his family went through.}

1.) 09 Apr 2025 22:38:52
Fully agree. PSG look very impressive and for me are the best team in the CL. They are very dynamic, fluid and have creativity buzzing through them.

As an LFC fan I am still gutted. We left there with a 1 nil win, and a great chance of progressing at Anfield and went out at a whimper that was totally uncharacteristic for an LFC team in the 2nd leg home tie.

Full credit to Enrique. He seems a quality manager and deserves the accolades.

2.) 09 Apr 2025 22:51:33
I want them to win it, just for him. An unbelievable man.

3.) 09 Apr 2025 22:56:16
based off of very little info, just what we see on our telly, I feel like Enrique is a decent enough bloke. Spoke humbly in our battles with them this year too.

With their team they have recruited well and built their team much in the same way we have built ours over the years.

4.) 09 Apr 2025 23:01:02
Faith, it’s easier to recruit very well when you’ve an entire nations wealth funding your transfers.

5.) 09 Apr 2025 23:29:06
I agree with RitchieK. I can't stand PSG but I hope Luis Enrique wins the Champions League. The team he has assembled plays the most exciting football I have seen this season and no one should have to go through what he has gone through.

6.) 10 Apr 2025 07:20:17
Psg head and shoulders best team I've seen this season.

{Ed025's Note - they are excellent Digger, but mind you they have not come up against great defences really mate, would the really be as good against a back line of Myko, Tarks, Branthwaite and big Jake? and Englands No 1?.. :)

7.) 09 Apr 2025 22:28:11
Edd001 doue for psg, any Liverpool interest? Lads a superstar.

{Ed001's Note - PSG are not interested in selling right now.}

8.) 10 Apr 2025 08:50:24
Anyone who blanks Gary Neville will do for me ?. Only joking, I don't really mind GN.

PSG is a good side but as Ed025 said, they've had it easy not having to feel the full force of Tarks and their wide players would struggle against Big Jake.
That's some atmosphere they create in Paris but I'm sure Doucoure and the others could handle it.

{Ed025's Note - PSG do have some fine players Rigsby. But could they cope with a rampant Jack Harrison?, we will see in a couple of years I expect mate ?

9.) 10 Apr 2025 10:36:38
PSG are the best team in the CL this year yet we went out with a whimper to them by losing on penalty kicks, crazy. Maybe at the time people should have been aware of how good a team we'd played instead of being intent on hammering the players for losing in the most cruel of ways.

10.) 10 Apr 2025 11:08:30
If we hadn't have given squad players a game against PSV then we could potentially have still been in the comp as we wouldn't have drawn PSG.

Yet lots of the arguments are that we should be giving squad players more game time.

{Ed001's Note - except you are conflating 2 different arguments. No one has said to play just the squad players, simply to rotate the first team a little more so that there is no need to play a team like went out of the FA or lost to PSV. So your argument is just nonsense and unrelated. Just another twisting of things to try and put out a false argument.}

11.) 10 Apr 2025 13:49:09
Against Plymouth and PSV we had seven full internationals in both starting lineups.
I get that a lot of changes were made before both games but it could show why the squad players- despite being full internationals- are not as trusted by Slot as the regular starters.
Versus Plymouth we had a front three of Diaz, Jota and Chiesa. Elliott and Endo played in midfield (I know there was a change because of injury but still) .
They are all experienced players and could have got the job done.

17 Mar 2025 18:36:32
I see a lot of the usual suspects who keep talking sh*te about how we are going to blow the league just like we did last season, and that this drop we're having now is exactly like last season!

Just a FYI, after 29 league games last season we were already 3rd in the league table 3 points behind Arsenal in 1st. This season we have a 15+ point swing compared to that. So its not really the same at all now is it?!

Arsenal's last 9 games are tougher than ours on paper (no easy games in the PL)

They have to play Real Madrid twice in there too, while we have 6-7 days to prepare for most of our games and jaded players will finally have time to rest and recharge for the final games.

Any talk of not winning the league is honestly pathetic.

KurtStiener69

1.) 17 Mar 2025 19:15:20
Hard hitting post that, Kurt.

2.) 17 Mar 2025 20:06:23
One game at a time Kurt.

I think most of us find it hard to see a drop off to the point that would be needed to not win the league.

But at the same time we have to go win it.

Next game is biggest always. I'm actually thankful for a small break myself now. Think we all all be ready to go once the international break is over.

3.) 17 Mar 2025 20:11:48
This season is a free hit for Slot. He's done better than expected. Having said that, it was known beforehand that he prefers a small squad. He's constantly quoted as believing the more you play, the fitter you get. Well, it's becoming obvious that, at the level we need to be at, these core beliefs don't hold up.
It's a season of adjustments for everyone let us hope he's not too stubborn and can revaluate his style.

4.) 17 Mar 2025 20:12:04
To lose the league, we'll need to lose 4 of the last 9 games and have a GD swing more than 13 goals in favour or Arsenal.

And that's with Arsenal having a perfect record. They've dropped 7 points in their last 5 games.

5.) 17 Mar 2025 20:30:12
The league is done, over. Nothing to worry about, just enjoy the march to the title. It’s been a great season enjoy it.

6.) 17 Mar 2025 21:42:01
I expected us to fight for 4th place this season. For #Slot to be in the cusp of winning it in his first season is amazing, beyond any of my dreams.
However, I hope he learns lots from this season in that you need to rotate and work with a larger squad to get through the hardest league there is. It's not the Dutch league when you can have rest mid game. You need to be on it all the time against every team.
So next season, get a few more players you trust and mix it up throughout the season and we could be even better.

7.) 17 Mar 2025 22:35:00
If you’ve ever owned an 80’s or 90’s Jag, you’ll know what limp home mode is. That’s what we’re in. We’ll make it, I’m sure of that, but it will be a grueling finish.

8.) 17 Mar 2025 22:41:02
as usual the narrative gets taken over by the extremes.

I've bene pretty bullish about the league being nailed on for us now, so I am at one of it for sure lol.

9.) 17 Mar 2025 23:05:55
We haven’t been in limp mode in the league. We have actually extended the lead. We will win the league by at least 10 points.

10.) 17 Mar 2025 23:19:49
We'll win the league, no doubt about it. I'm not worried about that at all, but next season is a different story with plenty of concerns. For now though, it's all about enjoying the history we're making. There's no chance we’ll bottle it, both us and Arsenal will drop points, but with the cushion we've built, we can afford it. If we weren’t this far ahead, then we’d have a real problem.

11.) 18 Mar 2025 05:34:44
Our first game back after what will seem like a super extended international break is the local derby.

I can’t work out if that’s a good fixture or the worst possible one.

12.) 18 Mar 2025 06:55:20
Viktor
I think Liverpool have done a hell of a lot better than you suggested they would . For me they can limp home all they want as long as they win that trophy.

13.) 18 Mar 2025 07:56:03
It’s a great fixture at home to Everton after an extended break. Get the crowd right behind the team.

{Ed025's Note - i think we will let you win Mark for the benefit of the city.. :)

14.) 18 Mar 2025 08:14:36
Rover they can limp, crawl, sprint, stagger etc etc once they win that's all everyone wants. Even Ed025 wants us to win for the good of the city of course ?.

{Ed025's Note - i really do Barry mate..

15.) 18 Mar 2025 08:20:34
That's what I'm hoping for ed025, then take points off arsenal and laud it over us how you helped us win the league ?.

{Ed025's Note - its a team effort WYred.. :)

16.) 18 Mar 2025 09:34:56
If we play like we did the other day Everton are getting the three points. I doubt we'll play that badly though, I think after the break we'll be well up for it - but so will Everton, it's one of them games. One I'm definitely not looking forward to!

17.) 18 Mar 2025 10:20:54
KurtStiener69, saw the same posts and comments as well. I mean seriously, how anyone can even think that we're going to blow the league when we have lost only 1 game in 29 with a 12 point gap (need to lose 4 with Arsenal running the table), a GD that is literally an extra point and needing about 5 wins give or take to clinch, is something ONLY members of our fan base can conjure up. Cos if City was in our position, you would never hear a soul say they could blow the title. This is the stuff of absolute lunacy.

Anyone who talks like this is outing him or herself as someone who is not ready nor has the stomach for a fight. They seem to be just there for the good vibes and as soon as some adversity hits, they give up, lose their marbles and run for the hills. As you said, pathetic.

18.) 18 Mar 2025 11:23:14
Vango - It may have been a free hit for Slot before we got 12 points in front, but not anymore. We have to win this league and that's all there is to it.

15 Mar 2025 15:27:37
really really really hope we stay far far away from Joao Pedro from Brighton, soo overrated, he is so slow, he can't pass, scores less than Nunez (90% of his goals are penalties) Brighton are too good for him, Welbeck is better and that says it all.

KurtStiener69

14 Mar 2025 19:37:54
If you're bored and want to watch some football Las Palmas vs Alaves in La Liga with Bajcetic from start for Las Palmas. Both teams are in the relegation spots so a very important game for both teams.

KurtStiener69

1.) 14 Mar 2025 23:10:43
Being substituted at half time and particularly for Ollie McBurnie, is not a good sign.

2.) 15 Mar 2025 02:27:53
Thar seems to be more of a tactical change rather than it because he wasn't playing well, Viktor. Palmas were playing with two deep CMs and I guess Baj was sacrificed to make way for another attacker, especially as they were chasing the game at that point.

3.) 15 Mar 2025 07:06:56
Carrying on making excuses for him lads he isn’t good enough.

4.) 15 Mar 2025 09:23:51
Sorry dracred, he was pretty terrible. The game just passed him by, he was just strolling around watching the action.

5.) 15 Mar 2025 11:52:45
Thanks for letting me know Kurt. Admittedly, I didn't watch the match and only read the reports and saw the timeline of events. Was just trying to play devil's advocate a bit but yeah, I have been disappointed with Baj for a while now as well.

I posted 2 or 3 months ago when i saw links to him that he is average and i don't rate him what so ever, very slow, very turgid in position, not very skillful, very average finisher and 60%+ of his goals have been penalties. Damn, i sound like viktor right now.

Salah-Gakpo-Diaz-Jota + one more striker.
Elliot can cover the RW if needed. Let Nunez and Chiesa move on.

Next summer replace Jota. Easy fix.
