According to Sly sports, we have shown an interest in bringing Ramos to the premier league. silly season at its best! 🤦‍♂️.

Kdfirst

1.) 25 May 2019 09:01:44
This is from the section where Sly sports just post rumours from other newspapers. This one originated from the Daily Star which tells you everything you need to know about the 'rumour'.

2.) 25 May 2019 10:20:21
Probably comes from the same source who thinks we are going to spend €700m on Asensio 😂.

3.) 25 May 2019 11:15:13
not going to happen. both of them.

4.) 25 May 2019 11:54:45
Came from AS so assume it’s BS. Hopefully he’ll join the pensioners club at United.

5.) 25 May 2019 19:13:30
Yeah, he'd fit right in at Utd.

6.) 26 May 2019 12:45:27
He may be 33 and he may be a cheating thug (so was skrtel) but the bloke is and has been one of the best in the business for a long time.

I hate him for breaking salah in the final. But players of his calibre should not be laughed off as only good enough for utd. (feels good saying that about utd) no offence salah mate.

W/ e though, he can't run fast enpugh to play in our system and he is a leader who will want to "run" whichever defence he plays for next season. Which i suspect will be real madrid. We have our leader at the back and i wouldn't swap him for 2 ramos'

27 Feb 2018 08:03:26
Before I get shot down, I appreciate this is probably sky click bait, but. they have been saying for weeks Bale is going to be leaving Real and now they are saying he is going to be offered to us in a swop deal for Salah. Please god (or Ed’s, basically same thing) tell me we are not going to entertain swopping one of the best strikers out there for Mr Injured?! I know the medical staff must be pretty bored now studge has gone but surely we wouldn’t be this daft?!

Kdfirst

{Ed001's Note - Bale is of no interest so why bother even asking? Just ignore the click bait and it would go away.}

1.) 27 Feb 2018 08:43:08
It’s click bait. Just remember what Bale is on record as saying about the City and people of Liverpool as well as his slagging off of the club itself. If you’re unaware, the gist of it is that he can’t stand people from Liverpool and he loathes us as a football club. And he said that publicly.

Madrid are desperate to get shot of him and takers aren’t exactly queueing up.

2.) 27 Feb 2018 11:12:47
Wow, thanks Shankly/ Ed’s. That would be some warm reception he wouldn’t get 🤣🤣.

3.) 27 Feb 2018 12:49:29
Bale? 1) he’s finished as far as the pace and power of the premier league is concerned 2) He’s a ManU fanboy. 3) He’s disrespectful of anything to do with LFC 4) his wage demands would be higher than Salah’s. 5) He’s over-rated but believes his own hype.

If that’s the swap deal then Real would have to chuck in 200million as compensation as well. 🤝.

4.) 27 Feb 2018 12:39:35
Is there any link to comments made about Liverpool from Bale? I keep seeing it being referred to but can't find them anywhere.

{Ed001's Note - I doubt it, you might find the video if you search long enough. It was a public video that got taken down afterwards. Does it really matter? Isn't it enough to know that he said some obnoxious things?}

5.) 27 Feb 2018 16:34:11
Ron, that would surely make the deal worth £100m if they paid us £200m and included Bale's actual value.

6.) 28 Feb 2018 09:49:31
If I remember rightly Aaron Lennon was an accomplice to Bale when all this anti-Liverpool (City and FC) vitriol came out. He was really bitter and that is probably the main reason that he put his tale (pun) between his legs and became a real bitter man.

7.) 28 Feb 2018 22:08:23
britle Bale and Klopps high intensity, high press don't match. He would always be injured.

Hope he goes to spurs in kane exchange.

Hi Ed002. Am I reading too much into the post that inter are interested in Mane, by thinking that some hints have been dropped in all the recent mega hype about Couts, VVD and Keita about the possibility Mane could be on his way out, and nobody has picked up on it? Really hope I am wrong!

Kdfirst

{Ed002's Note - It is a simple situation that Inter Milan would like to take Mane.}

1.) 30 Jul 2017 21:44:42
I'd understand if coutinho when to barca, couldn't handle mane leaving for inter.

2.) 30 Jul 2017 23:13:32
Not going to happen.

3.) 31 Jul 2017 02:57:28
I'm sure lots of teams would be interested in Mane, he's a very good player, however I can't see us selling him and I think Mane would see Inter as a step down right now.

4.) 31 Jul 2017 02:20:09
Has Mane shown any signs whether if Inter did make a formal bid he would be interested in the move? I hope not.

{Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

5.) 31 Jul 2017 06:57:37
Thanks Ed002, appreciate the quick response.

6.) 31 Jul 2017 08:31:26
Inter is a step down for Mane right now. Inter are the 5th best team in Italy (at best) . Juventus, Roma, Napoli and AC Milan are all streets ahead of them. Why would Mane leave a team hoping to challenge for the title and Champions league, for a team hoping for top 3 and Europa league glory?

Nothing to be concerned about. They can be interested all they like. They might as well chase Messi.

7.) 31 Jul 2017 09:00:38
Ha ha thanks MK Scouser :) . According to Sky (so must be true eh! ) Carra warning LFC fans we will likely only be able to keep Couts one last season before he goes to Barcelona. am I the only one thinking it's not a warning, most fans would bite the hand off for that guarantee especially as he will probably be worth a lot more this time next year and we will have had the best outcome possible this window of him not going. It's a bit like my bank warning me I only have a lot of money left in my account!

8.) 31 Jul 2017 10:15:37
Thanks for the reply Ed002.

9.) 31 Jul 2017 16:29:22
Spot on, MK. Inter is a step way down, for Mane and they can keep barking up the wrong tree. Mane is going nowhere.

10.) 01 Aug 2017 09:12:22
Inter would like to take Mane for peanuts, I would like to motorboat Kelly Brook but that isn't going to happen either.

I’m sure this post won’t be universally liked or agreed with, but I think we should get behind Mane rather than all of this “he is past his best/ sell him because he has lost his pace etc” diatribe.

He has been a fantastic player for Liverpool and by his own admission, hasn’t had the best of seasons (to the point he has sought medical intervention) so the guy must be pretty down at the minute. For all the well he should play 100% his best 100% of the time, don’t forget he is human. No salary in the world changes that fact and you only have to look how badly it all turned out for poor Caroline Flack after she got crap off the media - Mane is one of our own and as supporters we should be supporting him.

I dare say knowing we are all behind him and want him to do well will help him get back to his best, far quicker than the “he had a bad game so sell him” crap that gets spouted.

I always found words of encouragement to be more effective than a big stick!

Kdfirst

1.) 11 May 2021 19:02:26
There's a handful of 'supporters' on here that like to abuse players to make themselves feel better but on the main most on here have been fully supportive of Mane.
However, we also have to recognize that our front three are all ageing and our squad is in need of some pretty major investment. Mane turns 30 next year and this could be the last summer that we could get a reasonably decent fee for him.
Fergie mastered the art of letting players go at the right time, we have to be able to do the same.

2.) 11 May 2021 19:03:57
That is the reality of the world that we live in. We all want to players to perform like machines. A slight dip and people want him to be sold! Still we expect loyalty from players! A bit of introspection and the world would be a better place to live.

3.) 11 May 2021 19:25:45
Absolutely love the guy, great post Kd.
I have a minimal social media presence and feel much better for it.
Facebook and Twitter are now the root of all evil : (.

4.) 11 May 2021 19:57:52
“I’m sure this post won’t be universally liked or agreed with, but I think we should get behind Mane”

It won’t be universally like to get behind one of our player. What does that say more than anything else.

5.) 11 May 2021 20:04:16
For me the issue is that he has previous for it, when he was at Salzburg and heard about the Southampton interest he lost form/ downed tools. Same at Southampton when he heard of the interest from Us and United. I can accept a loss of form, but when there is a tinge of giving up then that’s where I can’t support it. When he is in our shirt then I’ll back him. But I don’t think he wants to be here anymore.

6.) 11 May 2021 20:04:19
I love mane as a player but just as you have to make tough decisions in life, so you have to make them in football. They may not be popular decisions either but as long as they are for the overall good, that’s the most important thing. In football, I don’t believe you can afford to be sentimental about players, after all they are only transient employees. If selling mane this summer allows us to rejuvenate the squad in more urgent areas, then so be it. No player is bigger than the club and if the club is going to benefit from a sale of a player, then that’s all good with me.

7.) 11 May 2021 20:16:27
I love Mane as well but Ed’s have said he has made moves to leave.

8.) 11 May 2021 20:40:46
I agree mate. For me the issue is who would replace Mane if he leaves and I don't think the alternatives are good enough. I like Neto and Raphinha but they are left footed wingers even though they can play on both wings and we have Salah and Elliott already who are left footed. So for me, I think we should bide our time with him and wait for the right replacement to become available instead of rushing him out.

9.) 11 May 2021 20:54:32
He’s signing for Palestinian Utd.

11 Dec 2019 07:31:12
Having checked my calendar and realising it’s not April fools day today, I am instead laughing my ass off because according to sky sports this morning, we are looking to sign not just Mbappe from PSG, but now also Neymar!

Brilliant reporting. What with that and Trumps team showing him as Thanos this morning, today is going to be a good day!

Kdfirst

1.) 11 Dec 2019 18:46:55
Kdfirst, Trump is terrified of what awaits him hence, his campaign is posting such nonsense to distract from this eventuality.

01 Jun 2018 17:44:11
Sorry guys. I did try to speak to a few of the players and Rio today to get an insight into the current transer rumours, his opinion on the Ramos incident etc. however Holly Willoughby then turned up and there wasn’t much talking I could do after that point. My dribbling however, was legendary 😂🤦‍♂️.

Kdfirst

1.) 01 Jun 2018 18:37:10
Worth a try.

2.) 01 Jun 2018 19:30:17
What Holly Willoughby Negative red Walter?

3.) 01 Jun 2018 20:11:55
Gazza, trust me I did 😂.

She's a married lady. I meant the players.

14 May 2018 10:32:25
Can I just say, before silly season starts with transfers, we gain a massive amount of very useful info from the Ed’s when we are all sat here wondering what’s going on and who we are going to sign. I know everyone gets excited but can we please show the Ed’s the huge amount of respect they deserve when they provide this free service to us, and not bite the hand that feeds (and risk losing the ed’s or making them not want to participate) .

Please guys, I know it’s only a few who seem to pick arguments but be considerate to the rest of us who get a huge amount of enjoyment from this site, courtesy of our great Ed’s.

Ps, another great season and let’s hope we can finish it on a massive high in Kiev! YNWA.

1.) 14 May 2018 11:29:34
I respect all the eds a lot. i consider it an honour if my post gets poster actually. so i hope for all the bad leaves out here they remember there are some following them a lot. i lost my phone last. week watching for updates in this website while in college 🤣🤣🤣.

03 May 2018 07:22:47
Nice one lads, never do it the easy way but well done! On to the final, that’s going to be an interesting one. If we play at our best we are unbeatable, if we play like last night it’s going to be a painful 90 minutes!

Can’t quite believe Roma chief is bemoaning the ref this morning for not giving them 2 “clear penalties”. they had two over the two legs that were never a penalty in a million years - ref was trying to stitch us up I think! And also moaning someone should have been sent off 63rd minute - is he referring to his player making the 2 footed challenge?!

Anyway, aside from the controversy, a win is a win and I am so proud of the lads for getting to the final, let’s just hope we can go one further this time for Klopp :)

YNWA.

Kdfirst

1.) 03 May 2018 07:40:34
echoing my thoughts there and I'd forgotten about that scissor tackle!

2.) 03 May 2018 08:01:45
I think taa should have given away a pen for handball but can't think what the other clear pen was?

{Ed001's Note - when Karius took out Dzeko but offside was given.}

3.) 03 May 2018 08:08:20
That's Karius again letting himself down you could see it a mile away what he was going to do thank god for the dodgy ref decisions.

4.) 03 May 2018 08:16:42
Let's not forget their player Shoving Mane in the back in the first 10. Blatant penalty. As stone wall as they get. As was proven when the ref then gave Lovren a free kick for Schick breathing on him, and gave one Against Milner just for putting his arms on the shoulder.

It was as clear cut as they cone and the ref bottled it.

I actually think the obstruction right on the edge of their penalty area was definitely a foul. Hard to see if it was in the box or not, but the ref gave nothing. It was at least a free kick in a very dangerous position.

The ref was absolutely awful all night and if Roma fans want to moan about penalties when they had 2 across the tie which were not even close to being penalties, it just shows how petty they are.

I Don't even think the Trent hand ball was a penalty because literally a split second before, there player slapped Trents clearance out of the air. If the argument is that he was too close to get out of the way of the clearance, then my argument is that Trent was too close to get out the way of the shot. You can't flex the rules to suit you.

5.) 03 May 2018 08:44:15
More to the point when their player slaps the ball, you can be too close to the ball to get out the way but he actually pushes it in a useful direction - it doesn't just hit him, he's dynamic in it. Stonewall handball.

6.) 03 May 2018 08:56:34
Spot on Hijkle.

On the obstruction I think we should've had in our favour, I just remembered that the ref gave them the decision in a near identical situation where Trent blocked their runner just outside our box.

The ref was giving them everything all match and for me the only decision that went in our favour was the Dzeko offside call where they would've had a penalty.

Aside from that, everything else went their way. The ref was trying way to hard to keep Roma in it. He booked Robertson for getting pushed off the pitch when it should've been our free kick. Nobody can tell me Florenzi was trying to play the ball!

7.) 03 May 2018 09:24:47
The scissor kick on Mane was bizarre and the tackle in first half on Wijnaldum.

8.) 03 May 2018 14:50:18
No point having an inquest into what went right and wrong last night. It was always going to be a tough match, they haven't conceded there in the champions league all season and battered Barcelona and Chelsea with no reply. We did enough to get through and that is all that matters, mistakes or not, we are going to Kiev and we have a chance to make history.

Can I just say well done to Ed002 for not having spontaneously combusted today (or this window) with having to repeat answers to utter nonsense.

Please keep up the good work ED002 (and the other Ed’s of course) I look forward to your insights.

Personally I would love to see him come in. Think he has the potential to be the next Bobby if he can stay fit.

Worst case, he can replace Naby on the medics couch, I wouldn’t want them to get bored now he has gone ?

On another note. On holiday and My daughter met Andy Robertson today and had photos with him. What a genuinely nice and very friendly bloke. Top class guy.

How long is it going to take for people to stop winding Ed02 up? Be grateful he gives his insights and leave it at that. He is clearly far more ITK than people posting pointless tripe so unless you are head of Liverpools scouting team, accept what he says and be grateful for the info!

Ed02, sorry mate. I massively value what you for all of us on here. As (regrettably) I have said many times before, don’t let the few spoil it for the many!

Thank you for your hard work, and obviously I extend that to the other Ed’s too.

Kdfirst

{Ed002's Note - Thanks but I am not taking any fr==grief like this at all.}

If (and I mean if) Salah did leave (and to be clear, I’m behind him, I don’t want him to leave) and went to Real Madrid, would there be a chance for a deal including Toni Kroos coming to us?

Apparently Kroos has turned down his contract offer from them, I know he isn’t young but play a slightly different formation with Kroos and Thiago behind Nunez and Diaz, that would be worth a watch!

I had to deal with Daniel Sturridge a few times, literally ranks top of the charts when it comes to being a complete ??. Conversely, had a beer with Paul Ince in Portugal and the bloke is an absolute legend.
