So Dani Ceballos doesn't want to move to the premier league and has instructed RM not to accept offers from Liverpool. Want to go back to Betis!

1.) 22 May 2018 16:45:32
Where did you get that information mate.

2.) 22 May 2018 16:49:24
I'm quite okay with that.

3.) 22 May 2018 16:57:16
Deep breaths JC, Klopp will have numerous targets, is proven at getting the right people on board and with our current squad got us to the CL final! Let's wait to end of the window and take stock then.

4.) 22 May 2018 17:01:49
Ceballos has already indicated he is interested in moving to liverpool. This has been confirmed on this site.

5.) 22 May 2018 17:23:39
Not the type of midfielder we need and definitely need more quality than him if we are to push to the next level.

6.) 22 May 2018 17:51:54
SALAH was 4th in the list i don't care if he doesn't come im pretty sure we are going to get someone special!

7.) 22 May 2018 18:10:52
I think you need to take every transfer rumour with a pinch of salt. Things change quickly this time of year, it wasn’t long ago that we all thought Navas was a target, now we are hearing it is Butland, only last weekend people were saying Fekir was 99% done, now it seems we haven’t even had discussions with Lyon yet. I only trust 2-3 sources for transfers, other than that I try to ignore the rest, if you believe them all it’s going to be a long summer.

8.) 22 May 2018 18:17:20
Were you got that from JC? Eds has already said the player wants to come.

9.) 22 May 2018 19:18:38
Read it today apparently quoted as saying he would rather stay in Spain and doesn’t want premier league move favours a move back to Betis. The owner/ president has followed it up suggesting they are also in for the player and says he’s confident of him signing.

Not saying this is gospel.

10.) 22 May 2018 19:20:11
Found it was on the sky pages from some Spanish place

Daniel Ceballos has told Real Madrid president to rebuff any approaches for Liverpool for his services, Don Balon reports.

The midfielder does not want a move to the Premier League and would prefer a return to Real Betis.

11.) 22 May 2018 19:36:03
I would rather have doucore or ndidi in midfield they know wat premiership is about an have more steel about them, we need a good defensive mid behind two box too box midfielders.

12.) 22 May 2018 19:36:44
Thank goodness for that!

13.) 22 May 2018 19:50:38
He’s obviously the Spanish equivalent of Siggurdson. Moves from a small club to a big club and can’t hack it, so ends up going back there. His next move after Betis will be to go to another small club, just slightly better than Betis.

14.) 22 May 2018 21:54:41
Ah Don Balon. a rumours mill classic. Almost as good as the metro or Goal dot com. 😂.

15.) 22 May 2018 23:06:56
Good news for us then. I believe that Ceballos as our new DLP would have been a big blunder by Klopp anyways.

16.) 23 May 2018 08:16:55
Ceballos would be a great signing because his potential is huge. Hosever, if he isn't fully committed (assuming this is true) then we dodged a bullet.

Nothing worse than Johnny Foreigner coming to England and sulking because the weather isn't great and the food is greasy. He's not so good that their are no alternativess.

Go land Doucoure instead. He's been flirting with us in the media anyway 😂.

17.) 23 May 2018 11:23:20
Ed sorry but do you no if there is sny substance to this? I thought player was keen. Shall I ignore it.

{Ed001's Note - no idea sorry. Last I heard he was keen on the move.}

18.) 23 May 2018 11:41:40
Cheers mate. Youll do for me.

19.) 23 May 2018 12:59:26
Ha, regards JC23 above. you lost me at ‘Don Balon reports’! They’re just click bait mate.

20.) 23 May 2018 17:42:35
Marca and AS have both reported that he’d prefer to stay in Spain with Betis. At the end of the day some players travel well and some don’t. I’d rather he stayed in Spain than travel here and get homesick after a month and want to return. It isn’t like there aren’t other tangible options. There’s Neves, Rabiot as deep lying playmakers or Doucoure or Ndidi for the less subtle more blood and thunder approach. And all of those would be within our reasonable price range and happy to join us. With the benefit of not having to talk to Real Madrid too!

08 May 2018 20:41:22
Dortmund apparently want mingolet. sell quick.

1.) 08 May 2018 21:42:21
Deal!

2.) 08 May 2018 21:47:31
Snatch. Their. Hands. Off.

3.) 08 May 2018 22:21:24
Part x with Pulisic?

I know Migs has had a bad run, but Pulisic plus £5m should get him for Dortmund.

4.) 09 May 2018 00:30:48
How much will we have to pay Dortmund though? 😉.

5.) 09 May 2018 05:14:47
Dortmund will probably demand our front 3 along with Migs to compensate for the goals he will cost them next season.

6.) 09 May 2018 07:20:12
Ive booked his flights 🛫.

7.) 09 May 2018 08:27:12
Think you missed a zero after the 5 zeddicus.

8.) 09 May 2018 09:57:48
Sorry mate, you're right.

Pulisic + £150m for Migs - fair deal :)

9.) 09 May 2018 13:33:53
This is one of our players you’re all talking about, just in case you’ve forgotten. Everybody makes mistakes but nobody makes them deliberately.

What next? Slating Salah because he’s had 2 average games?

08 May 2018 20:36:53
Jorginhos agent stated LFC arsenal and the Mancs have all been in touch.

1.) 08 May 2018 21:20:50
Jorginho fekir a right back and backup goalkeeper would do nicely 👌🏻.

2.) 08 May 2018 22:20:01
Also a Forward in the mold of Draxler to provide cover for Mane, Firmino and Salah. Fekir is a replacement for Coutinho and Jorginho a replacement for Can. We still need cover for the front 3.

3.) 08 May 2018 23:02:20
Fekir, Ox, Lallana, Woodburn, Wilson, Solanke, Brewster, Origi, Sturridge, Markovic, Kent, Ojo, Ings can cover Mane, Salah, Firmino.

{Ed0333's Note - im predicting at least 6 of those players won’t be at the club next season

4.) 08 May 2018 23:45:41
We have Ox gini Milner and hendo in the middle, if Jorginho or another cm came with Keita that's enough. Seeing as fekir could play there too that's good enough for me.

5.) 09 May 2018 02:22:03
Agree with ed33 - i imagine Sturridge origi lallana markvic and kent will be sold and 2 of Wilson Woodburn and Ojo will be loaned out. I also wouldn’t feel comfortable with fekir ings and ox on the wings so definitely in agreement with PowerLFc.

6.) 09 May 2018 15:25:49
Wilson needs to be given a chance next season. origi, Grujic, markovic, ojo, Kent probably need full time football they won't get here. Woodburn needs a loan same as Solanke. Need another player for the front three and two midfielders, one to replace can, plus a right back to replace Clyne. It's possible Trent will be brought into midfield though.

30 Apr 2018 16:59:58
Afternoon Ed1, firstly hope your well.

Apologies for the long list, we get a nice loan update on our players away from the club can you give an idea if any of the following have a future with LFC?

Grujic
Origi
Kent
Ejaria
Ojo
Wilson
Chirivella
Allan (WP? )

Assuming these players have no chance -

Markovic
Sturridge
Flanagan
Randall.

{Ed001's Note - Grujic - has not impressed on loan, his dad is a pain in the arse and he does not work hard enough in training. The plan is to get rid.

Origi - Klopp sees something in him and would like to develop him but the lad is keen to get regular starts, which we can't give him. If the right offer comes in we would let him go reluctantly.

Kent - he does not do enough and so he would be available for sale or loan.

Ejaria - too many injuries, doesn't work hard enough, looks like he will be moving on.

Ojo - looks to be another Ibe and is likely to be going back out again on loan or permanent.

Wilson - will get a preseason to see. The others above might also change minds then to be fair, as the World Cup will see a lot of players missing from preseason, so all this could be turned on its head by the time the season starts!

Chirivella - like Wilson he will get his chance in preseason. Has impressed in Holland by all accounts.

Allan - looks like his work permit issues are going to end his Liverpool career before it ever had a chance to begin.

Markovic - the club just wants to get rid of him to be honest.

Sturridge - he is available for transfer.

Flanagan - again available.

Randall - has apparently impressed in Scotland, but not enough to look like a first teamer, but he should be able to get himself a decent move at least.}

1.) 30 Apr 2018 18:23:24
Thanks a lot Ed.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome.}

2.) 30 Apr 2018 18:24:32
Great update! Would anyone actually pay for Sturridge?! Surely we need to just release him?

{Ed001's Note - Baggies paid to loan him.}

3.) 30 Apr 2018 18:36:17
Such a shame about Grujic, Ejaria and Ojo.
Still remember that Grujic header against Barcelona in the pre season friendly.
Thought we'd really found a gem.
Ojo and Ejaria both impressed with their limited chances.
Who knows what would have happened if Ojo hadn't hurt his back.
But if they're not working hard enough then it's their own fault.
Especially when they've seen Ings twice have serious injuries and twice worked his balls off to get back into the squad.

4.) 30 Apr 2018 20:02:49
Hi all

While it is romantic to support our players, realistically how many of the above would make a squad looking to challenge for the EPL and the Champions League? Ever?

You could make a slight case for Origi and Wilson covering for the Fab Three, but how confident would you be if one of them was injured for three months? Chirivella might be OK to cover for a reinvigorated midfield and play cup games but that is up to him. Goretzka would have been a dream in addition to Keita but that didn't happen and we need to find alternatives.

For me, transfer business has to be a RB to rotate with TAA so we can also give him some game time in midfield. If we can get Allison great, Karius good but Allison better (like Reina replacing Dudek) . A great holding midfielder, a first choice CB ahead of Lovren and a Son type cover for the front three and we'd be sorted. I'm not in the know as to what funds are available but that would prove good business to me.

Sell off those who aren't good enough (and there are many, as shown above) and buy first teamers, not prospects or squad players. Klopp has been brilliant with his moves so far (Salah for 34mill! ) and we are not far off being a real force.

What do you all think?

YNWAed.

5.) 30 Apr 2018 20:28:48
So disappointed if a player has got the talent but won’t work hard enough. The amount of kids that would kill to be in there position!

6.) 30 Apr 2018 20:22:09
Enjoyed your post eds1. The one thing I'd like to know your opinion on wilson? Personally think he could make it?

{Ed001's Note - difficult one. He doesn't work hard enough off the ball for my liking so I think he will struggle to make it with us. As Cruyff would say, players only actually, on average, have the ball 3 minutes of a match, so what they do in the other 87 minutes is the deciding factor in how good they are.}

7.) 30 Apr 2018 20:55:16
Wow like that thanks Eds1.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate. If I wasn't so busy I would have dug out the full quote as it was much better in his words! I was gutted I never found a place to include it in the article I did on him recently.}

8.) 30 Apr 2018 21:32:24
I'm very pleased I hear Chiravella is having a successful loan! Potentially an option for us in midfield for cover or do you think it's a year too soon for him ed?

{Ed001's Note - I think he was ready this year to be honest but we had cover until Can got injured so it was better for him to go out on loan.}

9.) 30 Apr 2018 21:35:54
Cheers Ed1 for the info.

"When you play a match, it is statistically proven that players actually have the ball 3 minutes on average. So, the most important thing is : what do you do during those 87 minutes when you do not have the ball. That is what determines whether you’re a good player or not. " - Johan Cruyff.

{Ed001's Note - that's the one. Salamat.}

10.) 30 Apr 2018 22:09:31
Thanks as always ed, and too assist -

When you play a match, it is statistically proven that players actually have the ball 3 minutes on average … So, the most important thing is: what do you do during those 87 minutes when you do not have the ball. That is what determines wether you’re a good player or not.

{Ed001's Note - he did make some excellent points that Cruyff fella.}

11.) 30 Apr 2018 22:19:22
Two I like -

In my teams, the goalie is the first attacker, and the striker the first defender

Players today can only shoot with their laces. I could shoot with the inside, laces, and outside of both feet. In other words, I was six times better than today’s players.

12.) 30 Apr 2018 22:26:09
Your welcome mate.

13.) 30 Apr 2018 23:40:34
That qoute by Cryuff explains 100% why many of us love Bobby Firmino.

14.) 01 May 2018 00:39:15
Really looking forward to Chirivella's return. He has been a regular pick for Willem throughout the season and he should be ready fitness wise and in terms of maturity to be an integral part of pre season. Could be a valuable option in the DLP and No.8 role for next season.

15.) 01 May 2018 07:54:23
I’m surprised we haven’t seen more of Woodburn given he was kept back to cover injuries and we’ve had plenty of those. Any ideas Ed01?

{Ed001's Note - he is not seen as ready to play in central midfield and we have not had plenty of injuries in the forward areas where he was intended to be covering.}

16.) 01 May 2018 09:08:10
Hi Ed001, do you know which teams would be interested in Ings, Clyne and Lallana as they all seem to have a good chance of moving in the summer.

{Ed001's Note - I know of no one interested in Lallana that he would want to move to, though he himself is talking about leaving, so he must know of someone. Spurs were interested but his season out has changed that.

Newcastle are very keen on Ings.

Leicester, Newcastle and West Ham were interested in Clyne, but again, the injury might have changed that.}

17.) 01 May 2018 09:49:08
Hi ed001,w. r. t to your reply on Woodburn. I guess he will never get his chance. Firstly the front 3 arw pretty fit. Secondly when they are tired or injured, Ings or Solanke deputise instead of Woodburn. So when will he get to play? Can't he try it out in attacking midfield?

{Ed001's Note - he was just unlucky as Ings got fit and back when he was expected to be finished, so it was only really Solanke he was competing with when he was held back.}

18.) 01 May 2018 12:29:27
I still think Ojo is the one who will make it, maybe not at LFC.

19.) 01 May 2018 13:08:31
I feel bad for Ojo. His loan to Fulham hasn’t worked out for a number of reasons. Firstly he has been unlucky with injuries and secondly he has struggled to displace a certain Ryan Sessengnon who regularly now plays as part of the front three for Fulham.

I think he needs to be sent on loan to a team that will view him as a key player for next season or we just let the lad continue his careeer elsewhere.

Red Sandman.

20.) 01 May 2018 13:55:53
“Grujic hasn’t impressed on loan” - is total rubbish I’m afraid. Visit any Cardiff City forum and you’ll find a vast majority of fans singing his praises, saying how he’s added steel and athleticism to their midfield.

On top of that he’s been nominated for their Young Player of the Year award which is no mean feat

Grujic, on the whole, has done very well at Cardiff, Eds not sure where you’ve got your info from for this one?

{Ed001's Note - if you say so, but fan forums are not an indicator used within the game to decide who to buy and sell thankfully. People who see their attitudes in training and the fact that he has not figured at all in 5 of the last 6 matches would say it is you that are talking utter rubbish.

The lad has been told time and time again about lack of effort, publicly called out over it, which is far more telling than a few fan forums salivating over a player.

This is why we may as well not bother giving out info, because we get this kind of ignorant response.}

21.) 02 May 2018 09:13:34
Dead right on Grujic, Ed001. He had a good start at Cardiff, played a few good games and had the perfect chance to establish himself and be a key part of a promotion winning team. He would then have been well set up to play in the Prem next season whether for Cardiff, ourselves, or whoever, which would really help his work permit issue. But, the lad has really blown it. After going away with the Serbian national team he seemed to come back with a stinking attitude. A couple of rotten performances later and he was dropped from the team. He made his comeback on Saturday, coming off the bench after 10 minutes, only to be substituted himself at half-time, the ultimate endorsement. He basically charged around like a hooligan for 35 minutes, got booked and should and would have been sent off if he wasn't taken off.

Like most of the young players mentioned above it's their work ethic that let's them down. Chirivella would be a useful squad option, although he has been consistent without being spectacular, and Ndidi for example would be preferable. I was disappointed Woodburn didn't start against Stoke, he couldn't have been worse than Ings who looked totally lost at LF. Hopefully Brewster can pick up where he left off and become an option next season. Origi is way way too inconsistent. Getting Markovic and Sturridge off the wage bill will be useful. If you imagine a midfield of Hendo-Keita-Ox being backed up by Ndidi-Ceballos-Trent it certainly looks pretty decent for the foreseeable future.

30 Apr 2018 12:35:42
According to an Italian publication, the 24-year-old Emre Can has agreed upon a five-year deal with the Turin giants which will earn him an annual wage package of around £5.3m a year.

1.) 30 Apr 2018 14:25:03
Bye now close the door on the way out.

2.) 30 Apr 2018 14:26:09
Well, thank God it's finally over, if he has finally declared his choice. It's been one of the longest "flirting" of a player with a team that I've seen in some time.

3.) 30 Apr 2018 15:01:11
Good luck to him, hope he does well.
He is not quite a perfect fit in Klopps system so hopefully his replacement does better.

4.) 30 Apr 2018 15:21:51
Glad its come to a conclusion. Was obvious he wasn't staying and holding out for best deal for him and agent. Good player but we mive on with players who want to be part of Lfc.

5.) 30 Apr 2018 19:43:04
So he’s not injured then is he lol. Good riddence.

{Ed001's Note - don't talk soft, what does this have to do with injury?}

6.) 30 Apr 2018 20:26:09
He's not moving for money then as I would imagine we would have no problem matching £100k a week. Good luck to him it's his contract and he chose to play it out.

7.) 01 May 2018 01:30:17
Can is a very good young player and was playing brilliantly until his injury. Gave his all and from the outside has looked very mature. he has known a long time now that Klopp does not see him as a first choice midfielder to build around. He could become one of the best midfielders around but that doesn't mean Klopp is wrong either. If he has a vision of what he wants and demands can't change that. Pogba has all the quality, Ozil is one of the silkiest players around. They wouldn't fit anywhere near a Klopp team.

Quotes from Anderson Talisca

"There is interest from Liverpool and Manchester United, but there is nothing certain, there is still nothing concrete. At the moment it is speculation. ”.

1.) 25 May 2018 11:55:51
So we have one of the biggest matches in years and you're focusing on rubbish like that! Give me strength.

Sadio Mane sent 300 Liverpool Shirts back to his village in Senegal lovely gesture from the man.

4 of my last 6 posts have been blocked for some unexplained reason. let's see if this one makes it.

YNWA.

1.) 25 May 2018 10:43:32
Who said that?!

{Ed001's Note - all JC23 does is repeat the same as I put in the review then wonders why it gets deleted. Try posting something original JC23 and it might get posted.}

I was going to make a repetition joke but I was going to make repetition joke.

We all the read the reviews JC.

18 May 2018 15:25:52
Afternoon Eds, quick one if you don't mind, as it stands I believe we have to enter the champions league at the qualification stage.

The question is if we are to win do we then not have to qualify?

{Ed002's Note - No, there is no Qualification stage for the English sides any more.}

1.) 18 May 2018 15:32:07
Perfect thank you Ed2 for your time.

2.) 18 May 2018 16:17:30
The top four from Spain, Germany, England, and Italy qualify automatically for the Group Stage. If Liverpool win the Final this season they will be seeded in Pot 1. If the Final is lost they will most probably be in the same pot as this season Pot 3.

17 May 2018 21:32:38
If as reported AC Milan have FFP issues I would take advantage and make an approach for Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Yes he has been misguided somewhat but he is young and has undounted talent and is the heir apparent to the Italy throne.

Under Klopps guidance and playing for LFC i would hope he would blossom and reach his potential.

1.) 17 May 2018 22:28:35
He's an unbelievable young goalkeeper. The best young goalkeeper in the world.

2.) 17 May 2018 22:32:19
He seems a bit of an arse to me - the last thing we need is more drama in the GK position. If he turns out to be a worldie, I will admit I was wrong. He has all the tools to make it, but I don’t think he will due to his arse like behavior.

3.) 17 May 2018 23:32:55
Unfortunately Nick, your right.

4.) 18 May 2018 07:28:11
The guy is 18! Everyone is a dick at 18.

{Ed025's Note - speak for yourself 87, i was very well rounded at 18 a pillar of the community working and a babe magnet mate..

5.) 18 May 2018 07:42:28
It’s more to do with his attitude, sure one of the ed’s Said a while back he refused any move other then Real Madrid as they are the only team big enough to match his ambitions lol.

17 May 2018 16:06:33
Ed’s any reason my posts aren’t getting through?

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea. Sorry.}

Found it was on the sky pages from some Spanish place

Daniel Ceballos has told Real Madrid president to rebuff any approaches for Liverpool for his services, Don Balon reports.

The midfielder does not want a move to the Premier League and would prefer a return to Real Betis.

Read it today apparently quoted as saying he would rather stay in Spain and doesn’t want premier league move favours a move back to Betis. The owner/ president has followed it up suggesting they are also in for the player and says he’s confident of him signing.

Not saying this is gospel.
