Do you know if Andre has a release clause and if so roughly the value of it?

JAG

{Ed002's Note - Andre Trindade (DM) Recommended to Liverpool as Fabinho cover a couple of years ago. Prior interest of Barcelona and Braga has gone. Fulham are keen to take him if the lose Palinha and Liverpool could potentially add him to their list of options - but there is a huge catch. Fluminense only own 80% of his rights and that would need to be resolved. They will also seek perhaps €40M including add ons. January seems a far more likely time for a move as it is too late to replace him this summer with the transfer window closed, but Fluminense fear Sporting Lisbon will offer his release clause. Agent has spoken again to Fulham but they intend to hang on to Palhinha, and he has discussed option for January with Chelsea but their need has passed.}

Is interest in Renato Sanches a thing of the past now?

JAG

{Ed002's Note - From others, but not Liverpool. Could be available on loan.}

1.) 25 May 2023 14:30:25
He's not very good, I watched him at Swansea on loan and sat on the bench mostly.

2.) 25 May 2023 15:27:19
Swansea was years ago Bobby.

3.) 25 May 2023 17:42:22
Injury prone hardly plays he’s definitely for us.

16 May 2023 20:46:29
Is João Felix on the market? Always thought he was a quality player with more to give. Still a young player but like Trent he has plenty of experience. Wouldn't mind him at Anfield with a Liver bird on the chest.

JAG

{Ed002's Note - Joao Felix (AM/F) Chelsea have no option to buy in the loan agreement but Atletico have given them an eye watering fee for which he will be available, but it may be possible to include a player in the transaction but Chelsea will not pay the full asking price, and they have already agreed the transfer of a similar player for the summer. Real Madrid are keen on him but would want to include players in any deal. Barcelona may look to him again but they are still working on wage issues that need to be resolved. Manchesteer United may offer a wildcard option but they already have Bruno Fernandes and there pressing need is for other positions. The player has made it clear he wants to stay at Chelsea. Interest of Bayern Munich and Manchester City will have gone.}

1.) 17 May 2023 08:01:21
Jag can’t see why we would want him so overrated is unreal and are forward line is full and would not swap any off them for Felix not even Jota.

2.) 17 May 2023 10:07:44
I think Felix has a touch of magic in him. In the right team and with consistent game time, he can be very good in my opinion.

I wouldn't mind him if we had a number of departures, but I can't see it happening and we have other pressing needs as he's more of a forward.

3.) 17 May 2023 10:21:02
Felix for me is an enigma, people always say he’s brilliant he never seems to hit the heights.

4.) 17 May 2023 11:00:46
I don’t think Felix would get a game at Liverpool in attack.

So many better options here already.

Hardly pulled up any trees at Chelsea or Atletico.

5.) 17 May 2023 18:01:32
Felix is one of the most talented players I have seen in recent years. His first touch and control are exquisite. However, he is not someone you can rely on to score goals consistently. Plus his defensive workrate is not the best. In the right system (playing as a second striker/ number 10 hybrid) with hardworking players besides him, he can be a superstar. Otherwise, he will struggle to really justify a place in the team.

26 Dec 2022 21:37:39
Are rumours of a bid for Gapko true?

JAG

1.) 26 Dec 2022 22:01:10
Psv just confirmed it so looks on.

2.) 26 Dec 2022 22:01:59
PSV just posted that an agreement has been reached. Seems that it mught be true.

26 Jul 2022 11:51:00
I read that Tyler Morton's loan has been delayed. Any insight into the reason please?

JAG

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know - perhaps Klopp wants to keep him as cover.}

1.) 26 Jul 2022 13:56:01
Perhaps even klopp has realised we are short in midfield if fab gets injured. ox and keita and thiago also being injury prone players.

2.) 26 Jul 2022 15:54:38
With all respect to the exciting prospects we have it would be nice to rely on some experienced players who don't get injured . Ox should be gone and replaced with someone who can help us week in week out, keita maybe the same .

3.) 26 Jul 2022 16:17:25
So hailstones in your opinion then how do you sell something nobody wants?

4.) 26 Jul 2022 17:36:46
And today's Daily Bla, I just knew I'd read down and see "midfielders might get injured, Ox and Keita need to go, NEED TO SIGN MIDFIELDER (S) ". Do folks never get tired repeating themselves?

I'm staggered that Klopp has the successful track record that he's accumulated over the years considering he brazenly ignores the advice he's offered on here.

5.) 26 Jul 2022 18:23:00
I wonder how much Spurs want for Harry Winks? Hardly ever injured.

{Ed025's Note - more is the pity..

6.) 26 Jul 2022 19:09:12
Harry Winks has Everton signing written all over him.

As for Ox, if we sell then it’s money in the back. He didn’t play much last season so it’s not like it’s a big miss. I can only see us buying again if Ox and Keita were to go.

Is Bacjetic nearing a return to the first team squad?

JAG

1.) 18 Jan 2024 21:57:12
The latest on the Premier League Injuries site has Baj, Thiago and Derek the Unicorn all returning on February 24th. The dates for both Baj and Thiago has changed from the 4th Feb since the last time I looked a week or so ago.

2.) 18 Jan 2024 22:31:36
Wait, hold on. Who's the unicorn? You mean to tell me we had a unicorn in the squad and I didn't know about it? I slipping, man.

3.) 19 Jan 2024 09:57:16
I’ve never heard of Derek the unicorn either, can only say I’m very excited. Is he a new signing? The one thing I would caution is that unicorns usually have magic power to heal injury, so either his magic power (or horn where he gets his magic power) is injured or he’s a bit of a dud. Can’t wait to see him…. in other matters- I wonder how robbos injury is looking?

4.) 19 Jan 2024 13:53:09
You got me WDW, I went and googled it lol.

5.) 19 Jan 2024 18:38:21
heard that Derek the unicorn has been told not to head the ball, you know why.

6.) 19 Jan 2024 20:39:59
Will be like a new signing having Derek back.

{Ed025's Note - i know im a bit Steve naive at times...but who is Derek?..

7.) 19 Jan 2024 23:04:22
This is what google says - Derek the Unicorn emerged as a prodigious talent from the renowned Real Madrid academy, dazzling scouts with his extraordinary skills and charismatic presence on the field. At just 22, he's already etched his name in football history, captivating fans with his unique somewhat magic style of play.

Hailing from a small town in Spain, Derek's journey began when he joined the Real Madrid youth ranks at a young age. His dedication and exceptional abilities quickly propelled him through the ranks, catching the eye of top-tier clubs across Europe.

Known for his elusive playing style and magical footwork, Derek the Unicorn is a symbol of his rare and extraordinary talent. After a series of stellar performances, Liverpool couldn't resist the allure of his abilities and signed him quietly from Real Madrid.

Derek's rise to success is a testament to his relentless work ethic and the unwavering support of his family. Now, donning the iconic Liverpool jersey, he's set to bring his magical touch to the Premier League, aiming to create a new legacy at Anfield and continue his journey as one of football's most enchanting stars.

{Ed025's Note - thanks for the info JB.....but who the bloody hell is Derek the bleedin Unicorn??

09 Jan 2024 13:36:21
Is Trent injured?

JAG

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

1.) 09 Jan 2024 13:53:09
A few weeks according to Ljinders. That we did not need.

2.) 09 Jan 2024 14:04:42
Not ideal. Confident Bradley can cover for now. Bigger concern is the risk of Konate or Gomez getting injured between now and February.

3.) 09 Jan 2024 14:05:54
Since it’s only a few weeks it could end up being a blessing if it means Bradley gets a start now. Despite how well he done against Arsenal, I feel Klopp would’ve kept Trent at right back for the Fulham game.

4.) 09 Jan 2024 14:12:26
Tsimi recovery going better than expected too with him and Robbo expected to be training by the end of the month.

It is a shame Trent misses out now but I am keen to see Bradley try stake a place in the first team.

5.) 09 Jan 2024 14:17:47
Bradley covering RB is not the big issue for me, he's certainly earned the chance against Fulham at least. I was hoping he could free up Trent to play in the middle to cover Endo.

Either way, the loss of his passing range at the same time as we're losing Endo and Salah is far from ideal. Hopefully we'll find away around it.

6.) 09 Jan 2024 14:37:29
Well, I guess it's time to unleash Connor Bradley to the world.

7.) 09 Jan 2024 14:47:56
We have one match to play, then a bit of a break until Bournemouth game. Not ideal but it could be worse I guess.

8.) 09 Jan 2024 15:21:55
It will be a tough few weeks without these key players but if squad members like Bradley and Elliott step up as we hope they can, our squad could be far better after these players return.

Big chance for these guys. I hope they can grab the opportunity. I'm optimistic they will step up for us in a big way.

9.) 09 Jan 2024 15:39:45
I remember this one time Nathaniel Clyne once got an injury which resulted in Klopp having to deploy a relatively unknown right back.

Here's to hoping this is history repeating itself with Connor Bradley.

10.) 09 Jan 2024 16:27:01
Spot on, Davey. There are two ways you can look t a situation like this. You can look at it as and opportunity to turn pain into purpose with the chance for these young guys to step up and grab their opportunity? Or, we can all wallow in our own self pity with the "Oh, woe is us with all these injuries" and all that. Personally, I choose the former. Im guess Klopp and the squad will do that too.

11.) 09 Jan 2024 16:35:30
On the CB front, if any of our CBs do get injured we have Phillips back from loan who can do a job.

For left back we now also have Beck in the squad after a very successful loan spell by all accounts.

Whats the point of the academy if we don't give these guys a chance when we have an injury crisis?

{Ed025's Note - i agree RS..

12.) 09 Jan 2024 17:02:19
gutted for Trent, he will be missed but the door has opened wide for Bradley, who will def take his chance, Ed called for Connor too, we should have VVD back, big game, shout out for Joe Gomez, he has made a big difference and so solid .

13.) 09 Jan 2024 18:48:21
The passing nonsense on here like Bradley can simply cover for the world class talent in Trent. We will struggle.

14.) 09 Jan 2024 18:20:04
Who would have thought Ed1, that Gomez is going to be the one out of all our defenders to be most reliable in term of injury this season. Except for Van Dijk of course, but still very impressive after all injury he has before. Good for him.

{Ed001's Note - to be fair, he doesn't tend to suffer niggly injuries. His problem has been the serious problems, so he does usually stay fit for a while before getting hit by yet another long term one while playing really well. Hopefully not this time, fingers crossed.}

15.) 09 Jan 2024 19:50:44
Frode Kippers, nobody is saying that. You're the only one saying that hence, have a word with yourself.

16.) 09 Jan 2024 20:18:55
Don't forget we have no game this weekend, winter break.

17.) 10 Jan 2024 03:32:57
Arleseyred, we have Fulham mate.

18.) 10 Jan 2024 07:09:56
Good opportunity for Bradley and I hope Klopp gives it to him and leave Joe at LB until one of robbo/ tsimi return.

19.) 10 Jan 2024 11:01:50
@Frode, enjoyed your post mate - it made me laugh. Great to read different opinions.

18 Aug 2023 19:53:43
Are all the regulatory requirements complete to allow Endo play tomorrow?

JAG

1.) 18 Aug 2023 20:06:11
The guy has only arrived in the country, can’t see him starting tomorrow under any circumstances anyway.

2.) 18 Aug 2023 20:28:57
I think he does I hope so.

3.) 18 Aug 2023 20:44:52
My argument for him starting tomorrow would be that first 20 to 25 mins of a game were its fast paced. crowd going to be roaring for first game, bournmouth by all accounts will press us high according to klopps presser, so I wouldn't mind throwing him in to see if he copes well because next week its newcastle away and judging by last season and villa last week they will try and blow us away in the first 30, and his head could be spinning if he's just thrown straight into newcastle away. I ain't trying to see mac10 at 6 away at St James's lol. But my guess is klopp will give him 30 in the second half.

4.) 18 Aug 2023 20:46:46
I’ve read that he likely won’t get his work permit in time. Also Jones has picked up an ankle injury so our only 3 available mids are Mac, Szob and Elliot.

5.) 18 Aug 2023 20:54:20
Jones is out apparently. Interesting to see who klopp goes with.

6.) 18 Aug 2023 21:29:05
Endo is done. Well, he is you want to make another word out of his surname. There two syllables in Endo and only one in done though.

7.) 18 Aug 2023 21:33:35
If he is allowed then he has to start. At home crowd with you playing against a team we would expect to beat no disrespect to Bournemouth.

8.) 18 Aug 2023 21:48:06
I’m not sure I would start a player that’s only just signed the day before. You’ll want to at least take a look at him to make sure you don’t end up embarrassed if he’s not fit.
If he’s available then he’ll be on the bench.

9.) 18 Aug 2023 21:49:01
Jones rolled his ankle, too many injuries for me,
dont think Jota should lead the attack, he was poor V Chelsea,
Gakpo anybody .

10.) 18 Aug 2023 21:53:17
I think he should start if he can. very experienced player so the atmosphere shouldn't affect him that much, IMO. I also feel the crowd will welcome him with open arms and loud voices.

11.) 18 Aug 2023 22:05:47
Wouldn’t be surprised to see Thiago start.

12.) 18 Aug 2023 23:23:35
It’s only 2nd game. Klopp said he’s had a full preseason and he’s ready so I don’t think pace/ tempo will be a problem that’s why I’d start him.

13.) 19 Aug 2023 06:08:34
Gutted Jones is injured. Just starting to find some form. Let’s hope he isn’t out long.

14.) 19 Aug 2023 09:24:25
Me too, Westwood. I hope he is not out for too long either, our CJ.

17 Aug 2023 11:20:02
After Endo, have we shown any interest in Abinho?

JAG

1.) 17 Aug 2023 12:32:47
Or Ante, maybe even Asmeiro or Ellingham.

2.) 17 Aug 2023 13:18:42
Or Illner.

3.) 17 Aug 2023 13:40:53
OP love it mate. have to say it went right over my head when I read it earlier though. Good work guys.

4.) 17 Aug 2023 14:17:53
You guys have too much free time.

5.) 17 Aug 2023 14:57:53
Or the more exotic sounding

Xlade Hamberlain.

6.) 17 Aug 2023 15:16:07
Hands up who Googled Abhino?

7.) 17 Aug 2023 16:17:04
Zeddicus - Hopefully if we repeat it often enough, the Chelsea scouts will be trying to figure out who Abinho is.

{Ed002's Note - Embarrassing for a cub obsessed withChelsea Academy plays and it was Chelsea who identified Caicedo Lavia rather than Liverpool’s. Perhaps looking closer to home would be better.}

14 Jul 2023 20:15:35
How long has Fabinho left on his current contract?

JAG

1.) 14 Jul 2023 20:29:58
Summer 2026.
