Hi Reds.

I don't know how much to read into this but Kevin Hatchard (Apprently a Bundesliga expert) has been talking to the Liverpool Echo about Thomas Muller moving to Liverpool in January.

Muller has been finding it hard to get game time since Coutinho has been there is is looking for a move in January.

I know he's a the latter end of his playing career but he's still a very good player.

Have you heard anything Eds?

{Ed002's Note - Thomas Muller (F) is miffed because he has been on the bench but Bayern Munich will not sell him without a replacement and there is nothing to indicate that he will be available in January. Additionally, he would I assume be a Firmino replacement if he were to join.}

1.) 12 Oct 2019 21:12:27
Leave Bayern’s bench to sit on ours?

2.) 12 Oct 2019 18:52:34
Thanks for the reply Ed002.

My feeling about it when I was reading it was that he'd still be a rotation player at Liverpool, due to Firmino being so vital to the team, and therefore why move?

If Bayern wouldn't let him go without getting a replacement, then he won't likely leave in January.

Thanks again.

{Ed002's Note - It seems like nonsense to me. If he moves to Liverpool it would need game time. It makes zero sense.}

3.) 13 Oct 2019 13:19:52
His form has been very poor for a long time now don’t see him getting anywhere near are first team. And if he did where would that leave Brewster.

4.) 13 Oct 2019 14:57:48
He’s been playing in midfield for Bayern too mind.

16 Sep 2019 15:19:02
With Origi doubtful for tomorrow's game versus Napoli due to the ankle injury he sustained on Saturday, is it likely that Rhian Brewster will make the bench?

Of course he could just stick with experienced players (e. g. Lallana or Ox to play wide) but it would leave us without a striker on the bench.

1.) 16 Sep 2019 16:25:50
I'd give Brewster a go for 20-30mins - if he's got such a big future then these types of games would be fantastic experience, especially if we've manage to grab a good lead in the game!

2.) 16 Sep 2019 19:07:28
Love your optimism, Johnny. Wish I shared it as they battered us last year. One of the most difficult places to go, for players and supporters.

3.) 16 Sep 2019 19:33:31
Rome mate, we got battered by every team away in the group stages last season, can’t get any worse lol.

Napoli look terrible at the back this season, to which we really should be able to exploit.

4.) 16 Sep 2019 21:18:00
We are better than we were 12 months ago. If at all possible get early points and reduce those pressure games at the end.

Agree with your comment re Robbo. Milner needs game time as well.

5.) 17 Sep 2019 01:29:19
> We are better than we were 12 months ago
Not sure about that we started last season very strong . As Drogie pointed out Napoli defence very suspect but they have been scoring loads of goals .
should be an existing game.

6.) 17 Sep 2019 02:26:20
Mane or Salah are also both capable of playing striker, I’d rather see Shaqiri or Ox used as subs for this game, and then ease Brewster into MK Dons. It’s a lot to ask for him to step into a Napoli away match, even if only a sub.

Hope Robbo is OK but if not I agree 100% should be Milner.

7.) 16 Sep 2019 18:01:38
He definitely gets that slot on the bench for me, if he doesn't then what was the point of signing him to a new deal. He is third choice striker and origi is injured, give him his chance.

8.) 16 Sep 2019 22:30:48
Everyone is panicking and chewing their fingernails again. We are Champions of Europe. We're altogether a different animal this year, more cohesive and certainly far more confident. Massive psychological difference when you're the champion of a tournament you're in, versus playing when you have lost the same tournament (and lost badly) the previous year.

9.) 17 Sep 2019 14:39:29
It's very possible that we would loose today . and no it won't be the end of the world . there will still be more than enough games to top the group.

24 May 2019 16:55:27
I've just seen an article linking us with Ryan Fraser. I know a few other big clubs have been monitoring him (Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U, Everton) .

Are we now in the running for him? Also, wasn't he this season highest chance creator? (And yes, I'm aware that it's quantity and not quality of chances) .

I was just wondering if anyone else knew anything about this.

1.) 24 May 2019 17:50:09
These rumours been going around for a few days. Yes I think after Hazard was top assists. I have never really watched him much and think there are better options out there.

Arsenal favourites to sign him.

2.) 24 May 2019 17:51:20
I don't think we have any serious interest in him, more effective as a winger then a CAM. I wouldn't be surprised to see Arsenal or Spurs make a move, though probably as a second choice or if their budget is stretched thin from picking up a couple players.

Ed002 said he hadn't heard anything about a Liverpool offer but mentioned him as a possible target on the arsenal page and said "Ryan Fraser (LW) has the advantage of being home grown".

3.) 24 May 2019 18:00:27
I’m not sure on the stat, but if he created a chance, I think it’s like created a shot, so I think that denotes quality. Maybe with a more clinical striker he would have got more assists. Again, it’s a stat that looks good, but means very little.

I think mane got three assists this year, and 22 goals. That would suggest he is selfish. but he’s far from it.

4.) 24 May 2019 18:48:58
We could do a lot worse imo, looked good this season when I watched him.

5.) 24 May 2019 18:48:58
Thanks for your replies, guys.

He certainly doesn't sound like the worst player we could be linked with. And if he's a left sided winger he'd offer a good rotation option considering that Mane played on the right before we signed Salah.

I guess it's just a "wait and see".

6.) 24 May 2019 18:58:11
He had a fantastic season, always remember him coming on against us and turning the game in their favour when they beat us 4-3!

Don't know if he has the quality we need but seems a Klopp type of player with pace to burn and good work ethic.

7.) 24 May 2019 22:23:10
Bit of a Liverpool fan as well by all accounts.

8.) 25 May 2019 01:23:10
I'd be happy to get Fraser he's a pest and would buy into the work rate that Jurgen demands also played with Robertson at international level . He's certainly got something about him on the pitch and doesn't seem to have a massive ego.

9.) 25 May 2019 06:01:34
Can anyone name a player we've been linked with who isn't a 'Liverpool fan'?

{Ed025's Note - gareth bale..

10.) 25 May 2019 09:10:59
Reminds me of the transfer of Charlie Adam. I'd look else where.

11.) 25 May 2019 11:09:23
magico. Because he's Scottish?

He's nothing like Charlie Adam in any way apart from that.

12.) 25 May 2019 13:54:42
About the same level if you ask me. hardly stands out in an average team. so in my opinion he isn't good enough. Each to their own.

13.) 25 May 2019 16:17:30
Descent player.

14.) 25 May 2019 21:08:56
Could be a all Scottish left side with and robbo and Fraser, be excellent edition to our squad at a reasonable price.

15.) 26 May 2019 04:46:12
I wouldn't mind him. He'd be like Robbo, Milner and Hendo when it comes to work rate and not being a flashy player but getting the job done.

If the price is right then why not :)

16.) 26 May 2019 12:52:52
Ryan frazior has been a phenomenon for Bournemouth this season. He deserves a move to a big club. I think he would suit our style well but id expect a higher profile attacking mid if we sign one. Arsenal bound sounds aboit right.

23 May 2019 09:09:13
Good Morning All.

The Echo are reporting that we're close to signing 16 year old Polish Goalkeeper, Jakub Ojrzynski from Legia Warsaw for £200,000.

I know it's no big name or even anywhere near the first team, but a rumour is a rumour, right?

If true, he must be deemed pretty good considering that our current academy goalies are already at a decent standard.

1.) 23 May 2019 10:22:02
Although much is expected of him, he's being bought to join the under 18s as competition to Jaros.

2.) 23 May 2019 14:21:58
I uh don't think he will get q good opportunity with us unless Alisson leaves. he is 26 now he will play till 34 maybe at really high level by that time the kid will have left us and become 26 year so i wouldn't read much into it. and ed02 has de ligt deal hit a snag? sorry if im being a bother. i understand he won't end up with us. i hope he ends up at Barcelona or madrid or psg nd not in england.

{Ed002's Note - I have explained the deal with de Ligt.}

3.) 23 May 2019 14:54:08
Think we need to De Ligt that question livebird, we all know that he is not coming Klopp isn’t interested.

Re goalkeepers, we don’t know what will happen in 5 years time, Allison may want to move somewhere else, it’s all about planning for the future.

4.) 23 May 2019 15:26:11
I like what you did there southern😂, that pun was DELigtful.

5.) 24 May 2019 09:37:23
You guys have a DeLigtable sense of humour.

27 Mar 2019 20:45:47
The first time I've heard of this linked player.

I've just read that we're interested in bringing in Norwich defender Ben Godfrey for £10m.

Anyone know anything about him or seen him play?

I've not found anything regarding it, so just asking if anyone on here knows.

What was Ayoze Perez's beef all about after the game? He looked like he wanted to kick off with anyone who came near him.

{Ed001's Note - did you not see the footage of how the Leicester players were all hammering into Lallana straight after the goal like a pack of school playground bullies gathered round to pick on a new boy? They were shoving him all over the place and Robbo steamed in to rescue him. Perez is just a bell who got put in his place and bottled out when Robbo asked him to come down the tunnel and sort it out after the game.}

1.) 06 Oct 2019 11:52:44
Ed do you think it was a pen? I think that chilwell pulling manes shorts just into the second half should have been a pen.

{Ed001's Note - it was a pen, but Mane did make the most of it. It is one of those that if it is given you can't argue, but you can't if it is not given either.}

2.) 06 Oct 2019 11:54:10
Why did they go after Lallana? Don't f##k with the Celts Ed001.

{Ed001's Note - because he ran and grabbed the ball rather than went and celebrated with everyone.}

3.) 06 Oct 2019 11:59:12
I saw that after the Peno was scored Ed, just don’t get why Perez was so angry. Did summin happen previous before we scored the pen?

{Ed001's Note - I have just explained it, why does it have to be more? If you seen the incident then you will know Robbo and him had words then and it just carried on from there. I don't see what there is to get.}

4.) 06 Oct 2019 12:18:24
Well said Ed001. I saw a video of fan footage of the incident. And 3 Leicester players have a turn at throwing or barging into Lallana for next to no real reason!

{Ed001's Note - they were just being dicks because they were annoyed at being behind.}

5.) 06 Oct 2019 13:19:27
Its irrelevant that Mane ‘made the most of it’ now we have VAR to consider every penalty given. The replay to the video refs show Albrighton tripping Mane up causing a foul. He could have done a Neymar and rolled a hundred times and it makes no difference to the decision. don't know what Brodgers is moaning about, a foul is a foul regardless of Manes reaction.

6.) 06 Oct 2019 14:18:49
Thanks for clarifying what happened Ed001. I didn't see that as I was busy celebrating myself. I just saw the aftermath after the final whistle and didn't know what it was about.

{Ed001's Note - I didn't initially, but I have seen quite a few different vids of the way they were hammering into Lallana, it was nasty and spiteful. I was very pleased to see Robbo come over and put a stop to it. It showed the team spirit within the squad.}

14 Sep 2019 19:24:35
5 points clear after 5 games. Amazing.

Is anyone else joining the Teemu Pukki and Tim Krul fan club?

1.) 14 Sep 2019 19:56:58
I expected them to give them a game but didn’t think they’d get a result nevermind win.

Hopefully gives us a reminder not to take anyone for granted and maybe the blueprint on how to beat city.

We are only 5 games in but it would be rude not to enjoy our position. 100% and the only unbeaten side left, after our preseason and players being at the AFCON it’s a really impressive start, we go again!

2.) 14 Sep 2019 20:08:37
I told my man city mate on Thursday that Norwich would get at least a point today. Stones and otamendi are far from a title winning defensive partnership.

3.) 14 Sep 2019 20:10:12
Excellent point of view WYred great result for us today but still 33 games left to play enjoy the moment but let's not get carried away ed666 is going to be so excited on podcast Monday what songs he going to start with this week.

4.) 15 Sep 2019 08:05:19
I wish more teams would take it to city. I still rekon you have a better chance taking points off them by having a go in a high scorer than ya do tryna keep it tight and sneak the odd counter attack goal.

5.) 15 Sep 2019 10:44:02
Might be a bit Krul, but yeah Epic, I'm team Pukki all the way lol.

01 Sep 2019 21:11:00
No summary for 1st of September, Tris? I thought it would be hotting up with the Euro transfer window tomorrow.

{Ed001's Note - I did one. It just didn't autolink, apologies. Review of the Day 1st September

It is because another article was loaded up after it was done ready, as I decided to do it in the evening so I could have a lie in.}

1.) 01 Sep 2019 21:27:48
Thanks mate. Giving it a read now :)

{Ed001's Note - very welcome mate, sorry it didn't link. If you don't see a link you can just check on to see if it is there.}

2.) 01 Sep 2019 21:34:57
Diego Laxalt gone to Torino on loan? Isn't he the guy that we had serious interest in? If they were willing to let him go on loan, surely we could have got him for a snip.

{Ed001's Note - I know, surprising move.}

3.) 02 Sep 2019 07:47:47
Do you think that's because our window shuts early they held out for a better deal and one didn't materialise or he didn't want to compete for a place?

01 Sep 2019 15:18:00
On a positive note, at least no-one invaded the pitch yesterday.

It was getting silly. Sooner or later someone's going to do it at Old Trafford and get Man of the Match.

1.) 01 Sep 2019 16:43:53
Kenny Dalglish decides to come out of retirement and play for Liverpool, he goes into the changing room to find all his team mates looking a bit glum.
"What's up? " He asks.
"Well, we're having trouble getting motivated for this game. We know it's important but it's only Man U. They're crap and we can't be bothered".
Kenny looks at them and says "Well I know I'm a bit fat and old, but I reckon I can beat them by myself, you lads go down the pub. "
So Kenny goes out to play Man U by himself and the rest of the Liverpool team go off for a few beers. After a few pints they wonder how the game is going, so they get the landlord to put the TV on. A big cheer goes up as the screen shows
"Liverpool 1 (Dalglish 10 minutes) – Man U 0
He is beating Man U all by himself! Anyway, a few more beers later and the game is forgotten until someone remembers "It must be full time now, let's see how he got on" They put the TV on.
"Result from Anfield: Liverpool 1 (Dalglish 10 minutes) – Man U 1 (Sanchez 89 minutes)
They can't believe it, he has single handed got a draw against Man U! They rush back to the Stadium to congratulate him. They find him in the dressing room, still in his gear, sat with his head in his hands.
He refuses to look at them. "I've let you down I've let you down"
"Don't be stupid Kenny, you got a draw against Man U all by yourself. And they only scored at the very very end! "
Kenny says "No, No, I have, I've let you down! . I got sent off after 12 minutes! "😂😂😂😂😂.

2.) 01 Sep 2019 17:40:52
How strange, a mean city fan mate of mine text me that joke yesterday, but it was Colin Bell instead of the king!

3.) 01 Sep 2019 21:30:41

Thanks for the reply Ed002.

My feeling about it when I was reading it was that he'd still be a rotation player at Liverpool, due to Firmino being so vital to the team, and therefore why move?

If Bayern wouldn't let him go without getting a replacement, then he won't likely leave in January.

Thanks again.

{Ed002's Note - It seems like nonsense to me. If he moves to Liverpool it would need game time. It makes zero sense.}

Jurgen Meister. He'd possibly be available pretty cheap due to his contract situation and also the fact that he's not been in the best of form this season.

Nevertheless, he's still a player I'd like at Liverpool. I think Klopp would be able to make a really good player out of him.

If it was as a replacement, then it's an absolute no go, as Neres is not fit to replace either Salah nor Mane. If he was to move to be a rotation player (which I agree with Ed002 regarding why would he want to move to be a rotation player) then I can see some merit for it from a Liverpool standpoint. I just think that there are better players around for less money than Neres.

"Unthinkable"? He's going to leave at some point, and if he doesn't, he'll get old and lose his pace anyway.

I think that Salah relies more on his pace than Mane does. I think that Sadio would be able to adapt his play as he starts to notice his pace deteriorating.

Also, let's say Salah gives us 2 more years. Who's to say that Elliott won't be up to the task by then?

Sancho, Yes Definitely but he'd be very expensive. But so would Salah leaving. So it'd maybe even out.

Neres is not the same level by a country mile.

At the moment, the only two players I see as being able to replace Salah are Sancho or Mbappe, but it's crazy how fast the up and coming players come into stardom. It'll likely be someone we haven't heard of yet.

Jadon/ RedWolf. I was suggesting a player to fit in with Ed025's mould of how a full back should be. I even said in my post that I'd pick Trent over him.

My suggestion was for Ed025, who said he couldn't think of anyone, but I think Pavard is the type of full back that he's thinking of. i. e. more of a balance between attacking and defending qualities.

For me, TAA would also make a world XI, but you can't look at everything on with a Liverpool slant and bias on it. I was just looking at the question from a non-biased standpoint then adding in my biased view afterwards (if that makes sense) .

Benjamin Pavard. Solid defensively, and good going forward. Not as good as Trent going forward but still decent. Saying that though, if I was to choose between the two, I'd still pick Trent. The quality of his passing and crosses are next level stuff.

I posted on the Everton page asking why Keane is getting picked as he's been poor when I've seen him, and they agreed.

I do agree that Trent needs to play ahead of Trippier though. Especially when Kane is playing up front.

He clearly needs some counselling.

He dislikes Liverpool more than Gary Neville, which is obviously very unhealthy when he has to live with the fact that he regrettably once wore the shirt.

A really horrible human being.
