As a loyal and devout LFC fan.
It's sad to see Raheem Sterling behaving as he is.
I remember the fly-on-wall documentary by FOX TV, when Brendan was putting Raheem in his place, telling him he'd be on 1st plane back home if he didn't sort his attitude out. Seems like he still has that attitude, in my opinion it's best we sell him for as much as possible.
Suarez earned better contracts, he bust a gut getting us to CL, even when we denied him his transfer, he worked his socks off for the team. Raheem has yet to achieve anything, he should show gratitude for game time. Shaun Wright-Phillips, Scott Sinclair, Jack Rodwell, Scott Parker, Francis Jeffers, Kieran Dyer, all chased big Bucks and look where they ended up! Sterling should've looked around Anfield on Sunday and took note of players the stature of HENRY, DROGBA, XABI ALONSO, STEVEN GERRARD, these guys are TRUE LEGENDS, and never in media for anything other than their accomplishments on the pitch.
I watched the Charity Game Sunday, and whether it's Suarez, TORRES, Luis Garcia, Reina, Alonso effc etc. Even non LFC players like HENRY showing love and feeling PRIVELEGED to be on Anfield Turf, representing Reds
Sterling should be sold ASAP, this scenario maybe brushed away for 1 season, but he's the type that will cause unpleasantness whenever it suits him. And if we keep him, every season he will cause problems.
Alternative, ditch him in reserves for next 2 years. And see who gives him a contract of even £50k per week after that, then he'll realise his agents aren't all that they making out, no Club will play top money to a player who hasn't played a competitive game in 2 years. He'll have to graft 2-3 years to earn a top contract, by then he'll be 24-24, and it may dawn on him that in long-run he'd have been better off with the £100k per week LFC have offered.
Personally if I got minimum £50mill, I'd sell (because we could improve team with money) . But I'd love to let him rot in reserves, learn a little manners

are you for real?
henry, drogba, xabi alonso, steven gerrard, these guys are true legends, and never in media for anything other than their accomplishments on the pitch.

2.) 02 Apr 2015 22:48:37
He has been misguided by his advisors and mismanaged by BR is certain areas which has made him make bad decisions like that ill-advised interview. If he really wants to stay, giving a dreadful intervie which accomplished nothing but turn more fans against him, was not the way to project that message.

3.) 02 Apr 2015 23:10:00
Did I miss when alonso and drogba? Tbf can't remember them being in the media for issues off the pitch, can complain about diving but every player does it (not right but still) and alonso may have left lfc but don't remember it being a controversial transfer. except that've wanted to replace him with Barry

4.) 03 Apr 2015 00:28:15
Was with you for a while there Bash, then came the crazy thoughts on dropping him to the reserves. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. I agree, get rid for top money, but not because of apparent attitude or ego, but because he's not worth top money. Now, if it was coutinho we were talking about then I'd put up with a bit of misguided crap from the lad, because he is on his way to being worth top money. I know sterling is still young, but I wonder actually how much better he will become?

No cutting off to spite face my mate.
I was saying I'd love to. We don't have the financial clout to do so. But if we did I'd love to.
Anyway the reason he went to media, in spite (no pun) of claiming he's leaving contract negotiations untill the summer because he wants to concentrate on his football shows he is full of #### . His Agent is trying to make a name for himself (I expect he got Raheem to sign up with promising he'll get astronomical amounts compared to any other agent, he represents Berahino too, similar story there too, and mark my words, if Raheem engineers a big pay-day, you'll soon hear of a similar scenario with Oxlade-Chamberlain at Arsenal).
Some of the stuff Raheem said. "I don't talk about how many house I've got". Well you don't hear any 20 year old talking that anyway.
"I love my mum, she's always been there for me" I should bloody hope so, u're only 20 & she's your mother, it's normal, where does he think other people's parents spend their time, and doing what?
Even mentioning "I have a 3 year old child" trying to use that. In all honesty I think it shows he's an arrogant, unruly person, when he was supposed to be concentrating on football & education, before he's even legally a man or capable of looking after himself, he was sleeping around. To have a 3 year old at his age. He must've been 16 or so. And he's still not married, and if the girl were younger than him, it's illegal!!

6.) 03 Apr 2015 21:53:11
What off field antics have HENRY, Drogba, ALONSO, GERRARD etc been involved in that Media/Public have treated with disdain TR1?
And questioning what a legend is?
People who have won Champions League? World Cup? European Cup? People who have broken records for scoring. ? Etc etc

{Ed001's Note - if you don't know what Gerrard did, then you have lived in a bubble.}

It's time to face facts; Lucas Leiva is not the midfield enforcer he was turning into two years ago. Two long-term injuries have curtailed that, and he now produces the same errors game after game; frequently giving away both free-kicks and possession. He isn't dominant and he isn't dynamic. But nor is his midfield partner.Gerrard is 33 years old, and his lack of mobility or energy is not his fault, but it's completely emphasised alongside Lucas—and even more so when up against such a fluid and skillful midfield as Arsenal's.

As Pep Guardiola believes: "You’ll occasionally win games just because you have good strikers and good defenders, but consistent success is impossible unless you have excellent players in midfield."Liverpool have been wining games because they have good strikers, but once up against a higher quality side, their midfield wasn't able to compete.

For all those that keep thinking our midfield is the best thing since sliced bread. this game highlights what we're missing.
Little or no decent service to strikers (how often do u see Giroud dropping back to half way line to pick up the ball?). not very effective at pressing . Taking players on or one touch pass and move.
Only thing I can say is poor lads have toiled hard.
Some may argue against me, fine, but Giroud isn't anywhere as good as Suarez or Sturridge and misses lots but does he get plenty of opportunities or what?
Ah well. least we will still be top 3 for another week.

FSG wake up & stop paying double for absolute rubbish. Then baulking at a bargain price for proper talent.
Get some real players in. Here is what a squad brimming with youth, potential and most importantly the requisite skills/ability/desire/determination would look like, players willing to work hard & succeed.

Alexandre Lacazette
Paulo Dybala
Luciano Vietta

Asier Illaramhendi
Mateo Kovacic
Ross Barkley
Mario Suarez
Max Meyer
Axel Witsel

Andre Ayew
Julian Draxler
Heung Min Son
Hakan Calhanoglu
Kevin DeBruyne
Iker Muniain
Lucas Moura

Inigo Martinez
Simon Kjaer
Stephan De Vrij
Kyriakos Papodopolous
Fabian Schar
Ricardo Rodriguez
Mateo Di Sciglio

Andre Der Stegen

No Messi. Ronaldo, Pogba, James Rodriguez, Marcos Reus, Phillip Lahm etc because no realistic chance of them ever coming to LFC. But we could get a couple of those listed, at least

Great addition. Best teams want best players.
Our fans are so fickle if they think Ings & Milner going to be any good for us.
Are they so coveted that Real, Barca, Juve, Bayern etc want them? No.
City actively searching for English talent, yet they'll let Milner go. Chelsea, Utd Arsenal aren't interested. Same as Lucas Leiva . Hailed as this & that but no one has EVER put in a worthy bid!!
The kind of players we pay over the top for, nobody else deems good enough to warrant any kind of bid,let alone over the top bids.
LFC pay ridiculous fees for absolute garbage, who when found out refuse to move on, because no other club will pay that kind of money.
Take Henderson, for example, £100k per week!!
No other club was even remotely interested in him. Which top tier team thinks he's amazing and busting a gut to sign him? NONE!! No one speaks of him in the same vein as younger midfielders like, William Carvallho, Imbula,Isco, Illaramhendi, Radja Naingollan, Paul Pogba, Arturo Vidal, Eva Banega etc etc

Proven?
Mate Michu, Benteke scored twice as much in their 1st seasons at crap clubs. Don't mean your amazing!!
U reckon any top tier Club in CL wants Ings & Milner,, only for British/homegrown player quota mate? City came 2nd in Prem and want better to challenge next year and no qualms if Miner goes but u think he's good?

Somehow media/public know our targets in transfer market months in advance. And then they choose a different club!! Mikhitaryan, mohammed Salah, Willian. Diego Costa. Now Depay. They all seem to go on and do pretty well (Salah aside).
And we get??
The likes of.
Borini
Aspas
Alberto
Llori
Joe Allen
Rickie Lambert
Manquillo
Sahin
Toure
Dejan Lovren????
Everyone knows they are sh#te. Always have been, always will be and no one will ever offer even a £5 money off Coupon for them. Then you have Johnson, Balotelli & Lucas & Enrique . (Sturridge will probably join this list soon). We have to play season after season without half a squad,

His agents brainwashing him. Trying to manufacture massive pay deal, like SUAREZ agents done, at least SUAREZ produced game in, game out.
Sterling only done interview because agents think they can pressure LFC . If he genuinely has other Clubs willing to pay what he wants . Then why haven't they declared their interest?
My Club will be around long after him, I'd get rid,
